The God of Underworld-Chapter 321 - 20
It was a few minutes later that Shinto and Mesopotamia Pantheon had finally arrived at the border of the Hyperverse.
Nyx had noticed that they were even more beat up than the Hindu and Chinese, probably because they weren’t as powerful.
Truthfully, the arrival of these four pantheons at the threshold of the Hyperverse was a sight that would be etched into the records of the history of existence forever.
The Ark from the Chinese Heavens, the radiating aura of the Hindu Trinity, the obsidian-dark sanctuary of the Mesopotamians, and the flickering, solar-etched vessels of the Shinto survivors all converged.
They were a patchwork of divinity—bleeding, exhausted, and carrying the "Hearts" of their dying realities like precious, fragile embers.
"Alright people, now that everyone’s here, why don’t we go ahead and meer our supreme leader?"
She did not greet them with the cold indifference of a Primordial god whom they hated and normally wouldn’t even bother with them, but with the solemn grace of a Queen who can see the bigger picture.
And as the Goddess of Night, her presence acted as a cooling balm to their scorched spirits.
She was truly a bleeding heart of generosity.
With a sweep of her hand, she parted the dimensional veils of the Hyperverse, leading the massive procession of gods, saints, and kamis into the heart of the Empyrean.
The interior of the Empyrean where Hades throne was located was breathtaking—a realm of obsidian floors and stars that felt personal and warm.
At the far end, seated upon the Throne of the Supreme Deity, was Hades. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He did not stand to greet them, after all he didn’t need to. He was the most supreme being in this entire reality.
His presence was so immense that the atmosphere of the room felt thick with the weight of five—no, six—integrated universes.
Behind him, the model of the Hyperverse spun, now a complex clockwork of glowing orbs.
The remaining gods of the four pantheons remained at the far back, while the leaders—Shiva, Nuwa, Enlil, and Amaterasu—approached the foot of the throne.
Nyx immediately floated behind Hades and smiled at them.
Hades’ purple eyes scanned them, reading the stories of their fall written in the scars on their divine forms.
Finally, he spoke, his voice resonating through their very concepts.
"You come seeking sanctuary," Hades stated. It wasn’t a question, but a cold acknowledgment of fact. "You bring with you the remnants of your people and the Hearts of your worlds. But tell me... why should the Hyperverse shoulder the burden of four more dying legacies? We are already the primary target of the Outer Ones."
Truthfully, he wanted to immediately go ahead and integrate them. But these four Pantheon were truly hard to control, and if he didn’t show any majesty, they might not even listen to him.
Hindus and the Chinese were the most arrogant, believing themselves to be the most superior.
Mesopotamia was the oldest pantheon in all of existence, and they think of other pantheons as mere children.
The Shinto were isolationist and would rather hide to survive than go to war and gamble that they might win.
Nuwa stepped forward first, her voice steady despite her fatigue. "Because we bring more than just mouths to feed, Lord Hades. We bring the Heavenly Dao, we bring the wisdom of the East and the strength of the Saints. Alone, we are targets. Together, we are a fortress."
Fortress... Nyx almost rolled her eyes. If they were a fortress they wouldn’t be here begging to join.
Shiva narrowed his eyes, but his third eye glowing faintly. "I have spent an eternity destroying what is old to make room for the new. I recognize that your Hyperverse is the only ’New’ left in this reality. We offer our authority—Creation, Preservation, and Destruction—to serve the Supreme Deity."
Hades stared at them silently and nodded. These two have already lowered their pride and arrogance, so it’s safe to say that they can effectively work together with others.
He then turned his gaze to Enlil. "And you, Lord of the Storm? You who claim that Mesopotamia is the oldest of all Pantheons, but what is your price for the safety you seek?"
Enlil stood tall, his Mesopotamian pride unshaken. "There is no price but loyalty. We are builders, Lord Hades. We built the first cities of our world; let us help you build the final city of this reality. My people will reinforce your walls until they are impenetrable."
Finally, Hades looked at Amaterasu, who looked smaller than she once had, her solar light flickering. "And the Shinto? You who hid while the void knocked on your door?"
Amaterasu bowed her head, a gesture of profound humility. "I hid because I was afraid of the change. I was wrong. My regret has sharpened my resolve. My light will not hide again; it will be the beacon that warns your sentries of the coming shadow."
Hades leaned back, his fingers drumming on the armrest of the throne. "Your words are grand. But are you prepared for the truth? This is no longer a war for territory. This is a war for our very existence. The Outer Ones you feared? We will confront them directly."
They stared straight at him, eyes full of determination.
He nodded and leaned forward, his eyes piercing through them. "If I integrate your Hearts, your universes will cease to exist as you knew them. You will become part of a singular Law. My Law. You will no longer be Shinto, or Hindu, or Chinese in the old sense. You will be citizens of the Hyperverse, bound to me. Can your pride survive such a transition?"
The leaders looked at each other.
There was a moment of hesitation—the final ghost of their individual sovereign pride.
Indra, standing behind the Trinity, was the first to speak. He slammed the butt of his golden spear against the floor. "I’d rather be a soldier in a living empire than a King in a dead one! I accept!"
One by one, the others followed.
Hades’ face softened into a small, dangerous smile. "Good. Because as we speak, the Outer Ones has ceased its feeding. They now marching towards this place, every single one of them."
He stood up, and the Empyrean groaned under the weight of his movement.
"Nyx, prepare the Empyrean for the Great Integration. We shall fuse four Hearts at once. I want the Hyperverse to grow so large, so dense, that the shadow of the Outer Ones cannot even find the edges of our light."
He looked at the four leaders. "Welcome to the end of your worlds... and the beginning of the Final Bastion."
He then descended from the throne, his steps echoing with the weight of the six universes already bound to his soul.
He stood in the center of the Empyrean, a vast expanse of obsidian that served as the anvil of reality.
"Bring forth the Hearts," he commanded.
The leaders moved in synchronized solemnity.
Nuwa released the Heavenly Dao, a spinning jade sphere that pulsed with the rhythm of cosmic Yin and Yang.
Shiva offered the Hindu Heart, a multifaceted diamond radiating the combined frequencies of creation and destruction.
Enlil presented the Mesopotamian Heart, a heavy tablet of celestial lapis lazuli inscribed with the first laws of existence.
Finally, Amaterasu held out the Shinto Heart, a mirror of polished solar light containing the essence of eight million kami.
The four conceptual cores floated toward Hades, circling him in a frantic, brilliant orbit.
The atmosphere in the Empyrean became dense, the air itself vibrating at a frequency that threatened to shatter the forms of the lesser gods watching from the gallery.
Hades raised his hands, his purple eyes turning into voids of absolute authority.
He invoked the Power of Law.
"By my decree as the Supreme Deity, I strike the old boundaries," Hades intoned, his voice booming through every dimension. "I dissolve your separation. I command the Four to become the One. At this moment, you are no longer isolated drafts; you are the foundation of the Final Chapter."
He reached out and grasped the air, and the four Hearts were forcibly pulled into his chest.
The impact was a conceptual explosion.
A pillar of white, unadulterated light erupted from Hades, piercing through the roof of the Empyrean and extending into the farthest reaches of the void.
Hades’ silver hair flared, turning into a mane of pure starlight.
His black robes were overwritten by the integrated sigils of ten different pantheons, forming a living tapestry of gold, jade, and blood-red.
His power surged, the scale of his existence growing so vast that he could now feel the individual past, present, and future of every soul within the newly expanded borders, all at once.
The Hyperverse transformed instantly.
The physical dimensions of the realm ballooned.
New continents of jade and cedar erupted from the sea of stars.
The Great Ark of Chinese Pantheon merged with the architecture of the Empyrean, becoming a massive celestial fortress.
The Hindu Trinity’s authority wove into the sky, creating a new atmosphere of protective Dharma.
The Shinto sun combined with Ra’s solar barge, creating a Super-Sun that bathed the entire Hyperverse in a light that burned away corruption.
Mesopotamian ziggurats rose from the earth, acting as massive energy conductors that stabilized the new, immense weight of the reality.
The Hyperverse was no longer a collection of allied universes; it was a singular, massive Super-Cosmos.
Hades lowered his hands, his breath coming in slow, heavy waves of divine mist.
He looked down at his palms; they were etched with the faint, glowing lines of power like he had never felt before.
He had successfully integrated ten Hearts.
He was now a being that teetered on the very edge of the fictional and the true.
"It is done," Hades said. The authority in his voice was now so absolute that the laws of physics shifted to accommodate his tone.
He turned toward the border of the Hyperverse.
He felt like the sky, once clear, was now beginning to darken as a massive, horizon-spanning wall of shadow was approaching.
The Outer One Army had arrived.
Billions of infant-like creatures and massive, tentacled monstrosities formed a tide of darkness that blotted out the void itself.
At the center of the swarm stood the true Outer Ones—beings as large as several universes, their eyes fixed on the glowing beacon of the Hyperverse.
Hades stepped back onto his throne, his gaze cold and focused.
"Nyx, Hecate, Hera, Aphrodite," he called out, his voice reaching his wives wherever they were in the realm. "The wall is built, and currently the inhabitants are safe. Now, we go to the ramparts, and we will show this Outer Ones that some ’food’ just refused to be eaten."
