Li Shiyun glared at him and said annoyed, "You might not have any worries, but Yu Mei’s child has developed a fever. We couldn’t find you, and your phone was unreachable, so we had no choice but to head to town!"
"What?" Ling Feng exclaimed in alarm. "How is he now? Is the child feeling any better?"
"Go ask for yourself—a doctor, indeed—never at home and I don’t even know what you’re bustling about all the time!" Li Shiyun said indignantly.
Seeing that she was truly angry, Ling Feng hastily offered a conciliatory smile, "I was wrong. Village Chief, if you’re not busy, would you go with me to check on them?"
"I was planning to go anyway, let’s go," Li Shiyun said without looking at him and started walking away.
Ling Feng hurried to follow her, his eyes on her tight jeans that hugged the perfect curves of her buttocks, enticingly swaying with each step she took!
"Stop ogling and hurry up!"
Li Shiyun said coldly, as if she had eyes on the back of her head.
Ling Feng rolled his eyes, suddenly feeling an pang of emptiness.
After eating that snake meat, not only had the cold in her body been dispelled, but her constitution had improved significantly. He wouldn’t have the chance to behold the perfect vistas beneath her clothes anymore.
Walking side by side, they quickly arrived at Li Yumei’s home. Hearing the child’s cries from inside, they hastened inside.
"Ling Feng, you’re finally back!" Li Yumei exclaimed with surprise upon seeing Ling Feng.
"I’m so sorry, it’s all my fault for being away so long. How’s the child now?" Ling Feng asked with a look of regret.
Li Yumei looked exhausted. "We had a fever-reducing injection in town, but the effect only lasted for four hours, and now the fever has returned."
"Let me have a look!" Ling Feng said anxiously, reaching out to take the child.
The little girl was still crying, her face flushed red, and her small face somewhat distorted, clearly in great discomfort.
"A fever-reducing injection is useless if there’s inflammation in the body. How can the fever subside without reducing the inflammation? Are the doctors in town quacks?" Ling Feng understood immediately and promptly remarked.
"The doctor also prescribed anti-inflammatory medication, but he said it would take three to five days to fully resolve the inflammation," Li Yumei explained.
Ling Feng nodded, took a medicinal pill out of his pocket, thought for a moment, then split it in half, broke off another piece, and left only a quarter of the pill to give to the little girl.
The child, being too young, instinctively tried to spit it out, but unfortunately, the medicinal pill dissolved upon entering her mouth, leaving no time to react.
Tasting the bitterness, the child cried even louder, struggling to find her mother, not wanting to stay in the arms of the person who had given her such an unpleasant thing to eat!
"Don’t worry, she’ll be better in a moment," Ling Feng hastily said upon seeing Li Yumei’s pained expression.
Sure enough, just moments after Li Yumei took her child, the crying subsided and eventually, the little girl fell asleep on her shoulder.

"To make amends, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight. I’ve got something good again!" Ling Feng said to them with a smile.
"What odd thing have you caught this time? It’s not another snake, is it?" Li Shiyun asked.
"Not this time. You’ll know when you see it. It’s absolutely something good!" Ling Feng left them guessing.
Li Shiyun didn’t originally want to go, but she was a bit curious. She glanced at Li Yumei, "Yu Mei, are you going?"
"Me? Let’s go. If Ling Feng says it’s something good, then it must be. The snake meat last time was really nice," Li Yumei hesitated before saying.
Watching her delicate and smooth skin, Li Shiyun once again felt a wave of envy in her heart.
She had been incredibly jealous when she saw the changes in Li Yumei’s appearance before!
Which woman doesn’t love beauty? Unfortunately, due to different constitutions, the effects were different, and after Ling Feng’s explanation last time, she had no choice but to accept this fact.
The three of them left home with their children, and as dusk fell, they arrived at Ling Feng’s clinic and then saw the so-called good stuff he was talking about.

Meanwhile, Li Shiyun went to the backyard to use the restroom and as soon as she got behind the house, she saw Wang Cai squatting on the ground, his gaze fiercely fixed on the two cages on the ground!
The cages contained a dozen mountain chickens and hares, and at that moment, all the little animals were huddled in the corners, too afraid to move a muscle.
Li Shiyun was taken aback at first, and then as Wang Cai turned his head back, two glowing green eyes looked her way, scaring her into letting out a scream!
"What happened!"
Ling Feng swooshed out immediately, and just as Li Shiyun reached the doorway, she darted into his arms, trembling as she said, "There’s a wolf, a wolf!"
"Don’t be afraid, it’s my fault I forgot to tell you, although Wang Cai is a wolf, he’s very human-like and won’t hurt you," Ling Feng said, gently patting her back while holding her soft form in his arms.
As he spoke, his finger touched the strap of her underwear, his heart skipped a beat, and his body reacted immediately.
Li Shiyun hadn’t noticed this yet, and was somewhat surprised by his words, "What did you say? This wolf even has a name?"
"Yeah, I picked him up in the mountains yesterday. Seeing that he was human-like, I brought him back. You don’t believe me? Look!" Ling Feng explained quickly, then said to Wang Cai, "Stop staring at them, they’re not for you to eat, go squat over to the side!"
Hearing this, Wang Cai looked up and gave a couple of howls then awkwardly found a corner to lie down in.
Li Shiyun’s eyes widened in disbelief, "This, this wolf can actually, actually understand human speech?"
"Right, impressive, isn’t it? So you don’t have to be afraid of him anymore," Ling Feng said with a smile, his palm still caressing over her back.
"Hey, let go of me!" After Li Shiyun was no longer tense, she realized what was happening and quickly struggled to break free from his embrace.
"Hmph, never miss a chance to take advantage!" She glared at him and, no longer wanting to use the restroom, turned and went back into the house.
Ling Feng chuckled to himself, feeling that she was just feigning annoyance and wasn’t really angry, which made him feel quite delighted.
Chasing after her into the room, he said to Li Shiyun, "I sent Wang Cai to the breeding farm out back to find a den, don’t hold it in, go to the restroom quickly!"
"He’s gone?" Li Shiyun asked.
"Hmm, he jumped over the wall, don’t you believe me? Shall I accompany you?" Ling Feng offered.
Li Shiyun’s face flushed, she spat, "Go ahead, who wants you to accompany them!"
After saying this, she went back to the backyard again.
The ingredients for cooking were all ready, and Ling Feng personally began to cook, while Li Yumei wasn’t idle either, helping to clean the two hares.
