Since Mo Jiaolan had already spoken, Ling Feng and Chen Yuhe restrained themselves from bickering again. The lunch was enjoyed in harmony, and it was very merry.
After filling her stomach, Chen Yuhe let out a not-so-ladylike burp and asked, "Ling Feng, what are you doing this afternoon?"
"Nothing much, just waiting at home for patients to show up," Ling Feng replied.
Chen Yuhe pouted. She had stayed at his house for two days and not a single patient had been seen. Being a doctor like this was quite the wonder.
Although she thought this, she didn’t say it out loud. Instead, her eyes sparkled as she suggested, "If there are no patients, why don’t you take me and my sister up the mountain for a walk?"
"Sure, but does Jiaolan have clothes for the mountain?" Ling Feng asked.
Mo Jiaolan always dressed conservatively, but even with a short-sleeved top and capri pants, it wasn’t suitable attire for a mountain hike.
"That’s not a problem, I’ve got clothes here. Any other concerns?" Chen Yuhe quickly addressed the clothing issue.
Ling Feng shook his head, "Nope, but soon it will be the hottest time of the day. Heading to the mountain now, it could be very uncomfortable there."
"That’s not a problem either; I’m not afraid of the heat!" Chen Yuhe declared.
She had been the one talking the whole time. Ling Feng now turned his head and looked at Mo Jiaolan, "Jiaolan, do you also want to go up the mountain?"
"Mm, I’ve never been deep into the mountains from childhood to adulthood. I’m curious about the joys of the mountain, so I’d like to experience it," Mo Jiaolan nodded.
Hearing this, Ling Feng instantly smiled and said, "No problem, then let’s get ready and set off!"

In the mirror, Mo Jiaolan had just taken off her short sleeves and pants, wearing only two pieces of white underwear. Her skin was so fair it almost matched the color of the underwear!
The perfect, lean shape of her legs and the proud curves of her upper body almost made Ling Feng’s mouth water!
A more enticing scene appeared after that; Chen Yuhe also appeared in the mirror in just her underwear!
Ling Feng never thought he would have such a feast for the eyes, hardly daring to blink, even wanting to push the door open and rush in!
But that wonderful image was fleeting as the two women quickly put on pants and jackets, each topping it off with a sun hat, wrapping up almost their entire bodies!
Ling Feng inwardly lamented; those few seconds were too short. How great it would have been if time could stand still!
Even after changing clothes, when the two women came out, he still felt dazzled. After all, as long as the face is pretty and the figure good, anything they wore looked great!
"Stop staring dumbfounded, or your eyes might fall out. Shall we go?" Chen Yuhe said with a sweet feeling in her heart, though she glared at him on the surface.
"Let’s go. You two sit in the back of the truck; I’ll drive!" Ling Feng nodded.
The three of them left the house. Ling Feng called for Wang Cai a couple of times but the dog didn’t show up, so he decided not to bring it and just drove the tricycle along the village path into the mountain.
All the way, Chen Yuhe chattered non-stop about their previous encounter with wolves, with animated expression, her crisp voice echoing through the valleys.
When they reached a place where they could go no further by vehicle, Ling Feng parked, then led them on foot further into the mountain.
The weather was indeed a bit hot, and although there were occasional breezes blowing through the forest, they didn’t do much to cool it down.
However, the constant chirping of cicadas filled the hills, adding to the wild charm of the setting.
Mo Jiaolan found it all very refreshing and took photos with her cell phone as they walked; she captured various oddly-shaped rocks and the Sky-reaching Ancient Trees.
As they walked, Ling Feng pointed to a slope ahead, "Jiaolan, I found that Lingzhi mushroom over there last time!"
"You actually climbed up that steep cliff?" Mo Jiaolan asked in astonishment.
"Yes, that’s nothing to me. I’m quite agile!" Ling Feng said with a laugh.
"That’s right, Ling Feng had already made it to the opposite hillside when I only called out once, and within a minute, he was on this side of the slope!" Chen Yuhe added, her little hand pointing toward the patch of forest on the mountainside.
By then, the three had reached deep into the valley, and what lay ahead was a dense jungle, the interior of which was completely obscure from the outside. Ling Feng stopped and suggested, "It’s not easy to walk in here, and there’s nothing fun or interesting, so how about we stop here?"
"Ah? I haven’t had enough fun yet," Chen Yuhe said, a hint of disappointment flashing across her face.
Mo Jiaolan also felt a bit reluctant, looking at Ling Feng, "Are there mushrooms in the forest? How about we pick some and make soup tonight?"
"There should be some, let’s go in and have a look," Ling Feng nodded.
The three stooped and entered the forest, and after only a few steps, the light began to dim.

Underfoot were soft fallen leaves that made no sound when walked upon, and once inside, the three realized that it wasn’t as hard to navigate as they had imagined, there was quite a lot of space between the trees.
"Follow closely, don’t get lost," Ling Feng cautioned, taking the lead deeper into the forest, his gaze scanning the ground for mushrooms.
Before he found any, Chen Yuhe bent down and picked up a purple-red mushroom from the leaves and brought it to him, "What is this?"
"That’s a meat mushroom, it tastes like meat when cooked, and it’s also a very expensive mushroom!" Ling Feng explained.
"Great, I’ll look for more," Chen Yuhe said excitedly, tossing the mushroom into Ling Feng’s basket before turning to continue her search.
However, the young girl lacked patience and, after fruitlessly searching for a while, began playing with wildflowers instead.
After Ling Feng and Mo Jiaolan had gathered a dozen meat mushrooms, Chen Yuhe ran over excitedly, "Sis, this is for you!"
She had a flower crown on her head she had woven herself, with white, red, and yellow flowers clustered together, looking quite lovely.
Mo Jiaolan quickly took it and put it on, and both women looked at Ling Feng, "Does it look nice?"
"Yes, it looks nice!"
Ling Feng was stunned, smiling at the beautiful sight – the flowers were lovely, but the beauties were even more so!
In front of the two beauties, he felt an indescribable tingling in his heart, wanting to throw himself at them and take them into his arms!
But just then, a rustling noise came from the slope ahead, drawing the attention of the trio!
Chen Yuhe and Mo Jiaolan, being girls, immediately hid behind Ling Feng, anxiously looking in that direction.
"Don’t be afraid, I’m here!" Ling Feng said in a low voice, full of pride, feeling like their guardian deity.
