After leaving the restaurant, Ling Feng drove his tricycle straight to the county town and quickly arrived at the entrance of Wang Laogen’s medicine shop.

Once he entered, the old man behind the counter broke into a smile when he saw him, his wrinkled face immediately filled with laughter, "Ling Feng, brother, didn’t you say three days? Why have you come today?"

"Yeah, I’m in a bit of a hurry to use some money, so I got everything ready ahead of time."

Ling Feng nodded and followed the old man into a room at the back.

After sitting down, he took out several plastic bags and threw them on the coffee table, "Here are six types of medicinal pills, each with a different effect, and they work really fast, just like the Continuation Pill."

The muscles on Wang Laogen’s face twitched as he laughed awkwardly, "Brother, you really are casual. To think you’d carry such precious medicinal pills in convenience bags?"

"I didn’t have a suitable container at home. Inside there are labels, each detailing what disease it treats," Ling Feng said with a smile.

Wang Laogen nodded, opened each bag to take a look, and even took a sniff of the fragrance emitted by the medicinal pills, then he looked up and asked, "You said you were in a hurry for money earlier? How about I pay you an advance?"

Ling Feng felt touched by the words but still shook his head, "No need, it’s not that urgent. It’ll be fine as long as I can see the money within a week."

"Sure, don’t worry. I’ll do nothing but promote these pills for you these few days," Wang Laogen said excitedly with a nod of his head.

"Then I’ll leave the trouble to you, elder. Call me if there’s any news. I’m heading back now," Ling Feng said as he got up to leave, but then Wang Laogen asked, "Won’t you stay for a meal?"

"No, there’s a lot going on at home. I won’t impose," Ling Feng replied.

Ling Feng said a word and was heading outside when he saw a row of medicine cabinets and remembered something. He turned to Wang Laogen, who had followed out, "Elder, I need to take some medicine back with me this time."

"Take, just take however much you need!" Wang Laogen nodded without hesitation.

Carrying two large bags of various herbs, Ling Feng got back on the tricycle, waved goodbye to Wang Laogen, and hurried back to Shiliu Village.

He had just entered the village when he saw someone walking on the road ahead; it was Huaihua.

Ling Feng called out and then stopped the vehicle beside her.

"Whoa, brother, did you get a new vehicle?" Huaihua asked in surprise upon seeing the brand-new tricycle.

"Yeah, the old one broke down halfway, so I simply got a new one. What are you up to?"

Remembering what happened last night, Ling Feng’s gaze swept past Huaihua’s chest with a palpitation, he asked.

"I’m going to the grocery to buy some stuff. Did you just come back from town? Have you had lunch?" Huaihua asked.

"Not yet, but I’m not hungry. By the way, has your mom come back yet?" Ling Feng lowered his voice to ask.

Huaihua’s face turned red upon hearing this, she lowered her head and said softly, "Not yet, and I don’t know if she’ll come back tonight either."

"Oh, well, we’ll talk about it tonight. If she doesn’t come back, I’ll come to keep you company again!" Ling Feng said.

The color on Huaihua’s face deepened, and although she didn’t speak, she nodded slightly.

Ling Feng felt a rush of joy in his heart and slapped the seat of the tricycle, "Come on, I’ll give you a ride!"

"No need, it’s just a few steps away. You should head home first," Huaihua shyly said, then hurried off with her head down.

Watching her retreat, Ling Feng’s heart warmed, and he thought to himself, "Aunt Guihua, oh Aunt Guihua, I hope you don’t come back tonight!"

...

...

After returning home, Ling Feng started by feeding the animals before glancing at Wang Cai, who was holed up in his nest, motionless, with a few leftover wild boar bones at his feet.

"You little rascal, are you hungry? Want some roasted rabbit?" Ling Feng asked.

Wang Cai looked up at him but didn’t make a sound.

"If you don’t want to eat, that’s fine. If you’re hungry, find something to eat yourself, I have important things to do!"

Ling Feng said this and returned to the front room, took out the herbs, and prepared to refine the medicinal pills while he had nothing else to do that afternoon.

He didn’t know how much money these pills would bring, but no matter the amount, it was still a source of income. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Only by gathering enough money could he expand his business and, in turn, provide more support for Mo Jiaolan.

By now, Ling Feng had a preliminary plan in mind, although implementing it was still a challenge, mainly because of the lack of funds!

After a busy afternoon, another batch of elixirs was produced. He simply packed them in a few plastic bags, planning to deliver them to Wang Laogen either the next day or the day after while also delivering mushrooms.

Ling Feng felt somewhat tired at this point, but at the same time, he noticed some changes in the True Qi within his body—it was richer than before.

After a few refining sessions, the level of elixir recipes in the Classic of the Divine Farmer had been raised to intermediate, allowing him later to produce powerful drugs like the Continuation Pill.

But despite the large quantities refined these past few days, the level had remained at the intermediate stage. It seemed that to reach the advanced level, simply piling up quantities wouldn’t suffice.

However, Ling Feng wasn’t in the mood to delve into these details now. After putting away the elixirs, he stood up and went to the back bathroom, turned on the water tap, and took a refreshing shower.

After drying his body, he felt invigorated and full of energy, so he put on only a pair of boxer shorts and started cooking in the outer room.

It was now five in the afternoon, and he had barely eaten all day. Only now did he begin to feel the emptiness in his stomach.

As he busied himself, someone gently knocked on the door. Since the door was open, Ling Feng looked up to see the person standing at the doorway.

"Shiyun, you’re here. Have you eaten?" Ling Feng asked with a smile as he stood up.

Li Shiyun paused, then shook her head, "What time is it? It’s not time for dinner yet."

The reason she paused was that she noticed Ling Feng’s muscles seemed even more developed, with clear lines and angles that made her heart race and want to reach out and touch!

Fortunately, the restraint of a young girl held her back. After a quick glance, she dared not look anymore and quickly lowered her head.

"Who cares what time it is? If you’re hungry, just eat. You’ve come at the right time. Don’t bother going back to make food, just eat here with me!" Ling Feng sat down and added some firewood to the stove.

Li Shiyun didn’t focus on the meal. After entering and sitting down, she said, "I have something to discuss with you. There was a meeting in town today, and they’re rolling out some agricultural assistance projects. Are you interested in applying?"

"What kind of project?"

Ling Feng paused and turned to look at her.

"It mainly focuses on developing farming and cultivation. You already have a breeding farm, but if you want to do some planting, like setting up a vegetable greenhouse, the government can offer a loan with a very low interest rate, almost negligible," Li Shiyun explained.

Ling Feng was very interested upon hearing this and nodded, "All right, let’s apply. If it’s successful, how much money are we talking about?"

"Anywhere from one hundred thousand to one million, depending on the actual situation. But I can help you apply for more, given that you already have some achievements," Li Shiyun said.

"That’s great, Shiyun, thank you!" Ling Feng said with an appreciative smile.
