Chapter 1028: Chapter 99: Can I Recharge Some Magic First?_2

Seeing that this torment continued unabated, the pain on Eden’s face grew increasingly evident. Luo En’s heart tightened with urgency; transforming into a streak of light, he dashed towards the tree cage that imprisoned Eden.

However, just as he flew above the black swamp, Saki’s face twisted into a sinister grin.

At the same time, the previously still swamp roiled fiercely. Twelve massive arms composed of rocky skeletons and blood-red flowing mud erupted from beneath the surface, jointly striking at Luo En in midair.

The oppressive and overwhelming divine power caused the surrounding space to collapse and warp, all compressing towards Luo En and Eden at the center.

"Exactly what I was waiting for!"

Luo En remained composed under threat, his eyes narrowing as he swiftly drew the Flame Demon Sword from the magic circle diagram before him. With one strike, he shattered the tree cage confining Eden, catching her descent with a single hand.

Simultaneously, the sword’s edge swept in a circular arc, sending radiant sword beams scattering in all directions.

"Boom!"

The blaze reverberated, and the mountains quaked. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

Amidst the blinding radiance of divine power, Luo En, clutching Eden, retreated to the shore. The impact carved two deep grooves stretching nearly a hundred meters on the ground beneath his feet before he managed to offset the immense force within and fully stabilize himself.

As his gaze settled on the six-headed, twelve-armed black monster standing within the swamp, Luo En frowned involuntarily.

"Such immense strength!"

Being a descendant of the Greek Titans, coupled with the protection afforded by his [Bull] incarnation, he surprisingly found himself at a disadvantage in this contest of raw power.

Sensing the brutal divinity and ancient, obscure magic within the black monster, Luo En narrowed his eyes slightly.

—A giant!

—And a Divine King, no less!

No wonder Saki dared to abduct Eden; he had clearly enlisted such a powerful ally, emboldening him.

"Let’s see whether my sword or your heads prove harder!"

Realizing he was at a disadvantage in terms of strength, Luo En decisively activated his divine authority. Behind him, a golden halo emerged, illuminating the divine incarnations of [Warrior], [Bull], [Goat], and [Flames], all suited for combat in this environment.

Meanwhile, the Flame Demon Sword in his hand blazed with even more intense golden flames, enveloped in searing heat and scorching winds, as its edge sliced toward Saki and the black giant.

The black giant roared furiously, charging out of the swamp. Its twelve arms pounded the ground, sending waves of red-black ripples outward. Torrents of red-black mud burst forth from the cracks in the earth, forming cocoon-like membranes of asphalt.

Under the layers of black mud cocoons, the power of the Flame Demon Sword was steadily neutralized, dissolved, and absorbed. Ultimately, only thirty percent of its force broke through the barriers, landing a strike on the black giant and leaving a ten-centimeter-deep sword mark.

Yet, within the wound, not even a drop of blood flowed.

Instead, globules of red-black mud surged and coalesced, rapidly sealing the wound inflicted by the Flame Demon Sword.

"Even wounds from the Flame Demon Sword are ignored? There’s something wrong with this creature!"

"Loki! Don’t think that just because it’s a giant, it’ll fear you! You have no idea about the true power of us giants!"

Saki laughed triumphantly, sinister black markings surfacing across his face as he reached for the floating Aken Treasure Diamond midair, embedding it into his scepter.

In an instant, the surrounding earth and stones were drawn toward him by a tremendous divine authority, adhering to his figure to form a yellowish-brown layer of stone armor, making his physique even more imposing and robust.

Simultaneously, the soil beneath Luo En’s feet became soft, carrying an intense pull that tried to drag him into a mire, while stones in the vicinity rose swiftly, coalescing into sharp spears that shot towards him like a dense storm.

[Earth Authority]! [Mountain Power]!

"You lured me underground deliberately to leverage the environment’s advantages to the fullest?"

Luo En fixed his gaze on the six-headed, twelve-arm black giant and Saki, the Mountain Giant King striding towards him, as all twelve of his divine incarnations lit up, merging with the rotation of his golden halo into the form of Phanes, [The Primordial One].

Simultaneously, the Flame Demon Sword Leavateinn was gradually raised high, its golden-red brilliance soaring skyward, transforming into a titanic fiery sword hundreds of meters in length that cleaved downward at Saki and the black giant.

"Boom!"

In an instant, the earth and mountains shook, peaks crumbled, and the land of Solheim trembled violently, as abyssal fissures spread far and wide.

"Ugh!"

Amidst the ruins, Saki’s shattered stone armor and scorched chest caused him to spit out golden blood. Casting a lingering glance at the black giant, whose body had been destroyed by a third, he gritted his teeth and turned to glare at the figure wielding the Flame Demon Sword, silently cursing.

"Even when fighting in their own terrain, two Divine Kings can’t suppress him! To get hurt by him and his sword—what a monster!"

However, despite the impressive result, Luo En remained unsatisfied.

"If this were Greece, my territory, that last strike would have turned Saki and the black giant into nothing but dust, rather than leaving them only moderately injured."

Slightly tilting his head, his peripheral gaze caught sight of the gradually dissipating incarnation of [Phanes] behind him, and Luo En’s brows furrowed tighter.

"As expected, without the faith replenishment from the Greek city-states and without the native [Heavenly Destiny] blessing, I, the [Heavenly Destiny Divine King] of Greece, am but water without a source and wood without roots, doomed to be unable to maintain peak power in the Nordic lands."

"This is precisely why I usually prefer persuasion to direct combat."

"My foundation and authority lie in Greece, but this is the Nordic realm."
