Chapter 604: Chapter 14: The Unique Ecology of the Gods

Woo! Woo! Woo!

At the intersection of Mountain and Sea in the Disaster Realm.

Maitot, like a steel dragon, shuttles between sky and earth, time-space distorted by it occasionally flickers in and out of sight.

The head is among the distant mountains, while the tail is hidden under the deep sea far away.

This manifestation of crossing normal time-space relationships is an embodiment of Maitot’s ability as an "Artificial God".

Each carriage exists as an independent Small World, and every transit compresses normal time-space relationships.

——Shrinking Inches, Close Proximity, Far Away.

This ability, considered outrageous even in mythological worldviews, is purely Maitot’s instinct.

Maitot, who has taken the word "speed" to the extreme, completed a lap around the Disaster Realm in less than a breath.

The code imprinted in the base program by the Divine Level Civilization allows Maitot to enjoy the pleasure of running.

Unfortunately, for the current Maitot, the Disaster Realm is too small to allow it to demonstrate its super speed of shuttling through All Heavens and Myriad Realms.

Fortunately, during its long years of "imprisonment," Maitot has also learned to entertain itself like traditional Gods.

For example, when the familiar space-time vortex appeared again in the Disaster Realm’s sky.

Maitot rushed to the bottom of the space-time vortex immediately and opened its enormous mechanical eye at the train’s head.

"Another new companion has come!"

The overall vibration and hum of the train body turned into a sound understandable to creatures of normal intelligence.

This special sound device and translation ability is one of the Divine Positions that the Divine Level Civilization granted Maitot by combining its technology with the "Artificial God" trait.

Maitot’s title as the "God of Rhetoric and Deceit" came this way.

It could dominate in any linguistic exchange, no one could deceive it, and no one could recognize its lies.

In some sense, this Maitot can be considered the "God of Commerce" in today’s Disaster Realm.

However, it is not the protector of merchants, but it itself plays the role of a "merchant" amongst the Gods.

Each carriage with expanded space is nothing short of a dream warehouse for merchants.

"Huh?"

"This new companion seems a bit... different?"

Watching the space-time vortex in the sky gradually expand.

Maitot’s mechanical eye revealed a hint of human-like surprise.

Because what emerged from the space-time vortex was not the Gods downtrodden as it imagined but a massive Sky City.

Not a floating island, but a super-large city capable of forming a self-circulating system entirely. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

From Maitot’s current perspective, the full view of that Sky City is clearly visible.

The outermost layer was comprised of silver-white active metal, vaguely showing its unique technological specifications and artistic beauty.

Originating from a technologically advanced civilization, Maitot could almost affirm that those silver-white active metals definitely possessed self-healing and repair functions.

Like a celestial sphere, under the wrap of the silver-white active metal lies the body of that Sky City.

Even without using the mechanical eye’s perspective and scanning function, Maitot could see the essence of the Sky City encapsulated by the silver-white sphere.

Because when assimilated by the Disaster Realm, the essence of everything constructing the Sky City was showcased meticulously.

In fact, when matters with high dimensional Attributes are forcefully reduced in dimensions.

To accommodate and understand high-dimensional concepts, the Disaster Realm actively converts them into a lower-dimensional state more suitable for this world.

It’s like people in a three-dimensional world encountering a polygon will instinctively understand the ball’s state from various angles such as length, width, and height.

However, in a two-dimensional plane-only world, to conveniently understand a polygon, it is dissected into a three-view structure to fully display its essence.

The current Sky City is in such a special state—it is appearing in a manner comprehensible to the living beings of this world.

"Turns out to be an Artificial God as well?"

When Maitot noticed what was obviously a humanly constructed high-dimensional module, its surprise turned into shock.

Having wandered through All Heavens and Myriad Realms for a long time.

Maitot, better than anyone, understands the intricacy of the "Artificial God’s" birth.

Unlike those Natural Gods nurtured by the world, the first premise for the birth of an "Artificial God" is the civilization reaching the Divine Level Civilization phase.

But in most cases, the civilization can never develop to a level equivalent to the Gods.

Even if a few civilizations break this shackle, their Gods would never allow them to dissect the essence of Gods.

After all, in quite a few Gods’ views, "Artificial God" is a calamity tantamount to a Divine Abomination.

The difference lies in that Divine Abomination could be bred from various conditions, but "Artificial God" can only be manufactured by civilization.

Woo! Woo! Woo!

Since leaving its world, this is the first time Maitot has encountered a deity barely considered a "peer".

Thus, it could not and did not need to suppress its inner excitement and thrill.

Woo! Woo! Woo!

The iron-cast space-time train shuttling between heaven and earth, the deafening woo sounds reverberating through the entire world.

All the Gods in the Disaster Realm who had interacted with Maitot couldn’t help looking up at the sky, utterly clueless momentarily about why this unique God was pleased.

Only a few Earthly Divine Kingdoms relatively close to the space-time vortex noticed the silver-gray celestial sphere slowly emerging from it.

"Another poor soul got captured..."

"Hope that guy brings some new changes..."

"Looks like the captured God this time seems to have some relation with Maitot..."

"Is it another God of Civilization following the technological route?"

"It’s only those Gods following the technological path who dare to venture exploring the Disaster Realm, isn’t it?"

...

Due to the vastness apart and Maitot’s deliberate obscuration, the Gods of the Earthly Divine Kingdoms could not fully discern the essence of the Sky City.

The only certainty was that this God would usher in new changes and rules.

Given the other is a God of Civilization on the technological path, this equates to a significant enhancement for the existing Gods of Civilization in the Disaster Realm.

The last God of Civilization captured by the Disaster Realm brought a special new energy to this world.

That new energy synthesized from carbon dioxide and sunlight even elevated a Demigod to a True God, indirectly leading to a minor Divine War.
