Chapter 174: 174

Roaring out loud, the demon found it’s view has changed only to find it still was the one was swinging the sword but it’s target has disappeared, the demon didn’t need it’s horn to know what was about to happen next as Tide hammer was already on its head ready to blow it apart but the demon grew out hand made of flame to catch the hammer.

Tide wasn’t about to let that happen as his trident and sword struck out at the fire arms but that small chance was all the demon needed as it disappeared.

Tide who wasn’t expecting a hit found himself thrown off balance as the demon once again disappeared, Tide frowned "It Really is similar to what Ikem told us, but how does the demon have access to it"

Ikem already informed the other demigod of his adventure in another similar to theirs and its unique structure and properties so Tide recognised it once it was in front of him.

He remembered the sight during the awakening of the gods and their look alike heading off into a world similar to theirs but only dark and with no color.

Meanwhile for the demon Aska, it was inside the world where Tide believed it to be, specifically it was down in the water of this bleak world.

Right in front of the demon was the floating figure of Jaws look alike who frowned seeing the demons appearance "How unsightly of you to be this weak against a mere demigod"

The demon coughed out blood as it spoke "Not just any demigod, but a demigod with a divine blood"

The Jaws look alike started laughing as it spoke with a voice filled with pride "Of course, I would expect nothing less from a child of mine"

The demon who’s body is now healing up spoke up "I plan on bringing him over to this world and finish him off with your help"

Jaws look alike stopped laughing as it spoke this time a bit more twisted "I don’t mind but I advise against that"

"Why?, we had an agreement" The demon asked confused.

"They don’t yet have access to this world, but once you bring the demigod here, you give them access to it and we are not yet ready to face them full on." The Jaws look alike said with a hand on its chin.

The demon frowned "I can’t go back there with him holding that hammer, it leaves me completely open and vulnerable to his attacks"

Jaws look alike eyes flashed as it pointed at the demon where a dark light shot into the demon’s body "This should remind them that we still haven’t forgotten about them. Now go I have no interest in playing your guard dog, they are quite eager for your flesh"

The demon looked around the dark water feeling countless presence looking at him with hunger, only the presence of this deity keeping them at bay. Bowing the demon, looking around to see Tide floating with his eyes closed.

Creeping in as close as he can, the demon materialized on the outside with his sword aimed for Tide’s heart.

The sword easily went though as the demon frowned only to be sent flying by the hammer as Tide appeared holding the shield in his hand. As soon as Tide sent the demon flying he frowned as felt something wrong with the feedback he got upon impact.

And to prove his guess right, the demon caught it self and began laughing. With a quick flame explosion from under its foot the demon shot forward to Tide as they clashed once again.

Jaws in his realm was now on his feet, anger prevalent in his eyes and the effect was affecting the outside world as storms and lightning began brewing, he watched as his son’s hammer fell on the demon again only for a subtle flash of light which felt divine but tainted appear at the impact position negating the hammer effect.

In Jaws’ anger, he could hear a faint chuckling voice in his ear and most disturbingly the voice was so very much similar to his. Jaws realm is surrounded with water with clear white clouds hovering above the sky of the realm and so by instinct Jaws looked down.

Unlike before he could see his reflection staring back at him, This time he saw his reflection but not the one he was used to, it was his look alike who was also staring at him smiling and laughing "You, How dare interfere in my son’s battle?" Jaws asked as his eyes flashed with lightning.

The dark part of Jaws stopped laughing and said "You mean our son, right?" Lightning fell from the realm sky into the reflection but only a few splashes of water hovered in the air before falling down again as the water became still, the dark reflection still there smiling back at Jaws.

Jaws, seeing that closed his eyes only to open it once again with his rage no longer showing, the dark reflection of Jaws flickered a bit unstable as the reflection had a look of boredom in its face "That’s it? Was that all the wrath you could muster knowing your child situation"

Jaws said nothing back, as his eyes deep as an ocean stared back at the reflection who shrugged "I tried" It said before disappearing.

Lighting flickered across Jaws’ calm eyes. Unlike his younger brother Ikenga and Older sister Keles, he doesn’t like thinking or having deep thoughts. Instead he enjoys his silence, and calmness brought by the still sea, but that calmness hides the unpredictable nature of the sea.

From the beginning of Tide fight with the demon, he already knew the demon had something to do with the other world once he saw it disappear as even with his observation he had no clear sight of the demon position once it disappeared and that only can mean one thing, it has access to other world or it has so way to hide from even the eyes of the gods.

Jaws had a feeling his other counterpart was close by and is also watching this fight, which brought him back to his memory of his mother explaining the origin of their counterpart. "If memory serves me right, mother said that if we fall for the temptation we become unrecognizable from our counterpart"

Thinking of this, Jaws could piece together the goal of his counterpart so he decided to play a waiting game. Once he saw the blessing laid upon the demon to counter Tide’s hammer, he knew it was time to act, so letting himself go and fall deep into the destructive side of his divinity he raged.

"So we all can confirm that our loss of control over our emotions gives our other part some edge" Jaws spoke out to thin air.

"Indeed brother, Now we have to figure out how it got in contact with the demon" Mahu’s voice spoke out into Jaws head.

"Or maybe how the demon got in contact with it" Jaws responded back.

"What about the battle between your son and the demon, it’s going to be a close one now that your son lost his advantage with the weapon" Ikenga answered back as he was watching the ongoing fight between Tide and the demon Aska.

Their blood was now staining the surrounding sea, the demon was using its flame to the best of its ability to hold push back on Tide, while Tide was also pushing back and using his accessories to their full limit.

Jaws saw that and said "It’s already a won battle If Flowua can get there fast enough"

Flowua who has taken care of the minions sent after her can be seen speeding through the water with a few scratches on her body. As she made her way to her brother, she couldn’t help but worry even though she was confident in his strength.

Tide froze the water in front of him as it blocked the flame heading for him. The fire seemed to be alive as it divided into passing by the ice shield heading for Tide who was behind it.

Tide swung his sword causing a cyclone that pulled in the two diverted flames. From under Tide a huge fish construct made of fire can be seen heading his way quickly. Tide felt the increase in temperature so he looked down to see the construct.

Reacting immediately he swung his hammer, as it pulled in the surrounding water to form a huge hammer construct the same size as the fish, Upon impact the two constructs exploded, raising with steam.

Tide heard a roar as the demon broke through the steam with his sword ready to fall on tide only for his hand holding the trident to defend the sword strike, the demon wasn’t done as it opened its other hand.

Tide watched as the fallen apart dark ice armor on the demon dissolved turning into an ice sword on his free hand, which the demon swung with no hesitation. Tide without thinking held up his hand and held the shield before his eyes widened realizing his mistake.

The shield wasn’t really a shield instead it was a mirror with the shape of a shield so as soon as the sword struck the shield fell apart as the sword cleaved the elemental hand in two freezing it all the same in dark ice.
