The Hero of Hypnosis-Chapter 474: For the throne
"Hey! Miss me?" Amaya hugged Kai tightly, kissing him on the lips for so long that people would question if they needed to breathe if they saw them.
"What are you doing here? I thought you didn’t want to come out here." Kai was happy to see her and would absolutely welcome her presence. It was just a bit of a shock.
"Well, Kyana told me about Karumi, and I thought you would get sad. So, I decided to come and stay with you so you won’t feel lonely."
Kai was touched. "Thanks. I was feeling a bit lonely. You’re the best."
"Hehe! Of course I am! Now tell that to the others so they can know that as well."
"So basically, you want me to die?"
"Whatttt? I didn’t say that!" She gave a subtle smirk and then quickly changed her expression to a shocked one.
"You’re not slick! I saw that!"
"Hehehehe! So, what’s going on here?"
"Want the long or short version?"
"The long version, like your dick!"
"Wow. Okay. Well..." Kai explained everything to her from start to finish, ending his explanation with Amaya’s arrival.
"That’s a lot! I can’t believe you’re a god now. Does Kyana know?"
"Yeah, she...Actually, I don’t think I told her now that I’m thinking about it. Not even Karumi knows."
"Yes! I’m the first to know!"
"Actually, I was the first to know."
Kai and Amaya turned around to see Leo eating a bag of hot chips.
"New snack?" Kai asked.
"Yeah. Cassie was tired of eating popcorn with me since a lot of it gets stuck in your teeth."
"Ah. Yeah, that’s the worst. I stopped eating popcorn for months because there was a small piece of it stuck at the top of my throat, and I couldn’t reach it unless I wanted to make myself puke."
"Heh, must have sucked. I’ve never expierenced that."
Kai rolled his eyes. "No shit! You’re a god, stupid."
"Hey! So is Cassie, and she experienced it!"
"Well, she’s normal, unlike you."
"That’s just harsh, man."
"Go cry in a corner then!"
"I think I will!"
"Leo! Stop harassing our son!" Cassie appeared, dragging Leo by the ear.
"I’m not harassing him! I promise! Ow! Let go, you’re gonna rip off my ear!"
"Good! Maybe this will make you learn to leave him alone!" Both vanished.
Kai curled his lips inward, looking expressionless. "My parents, by the way."
"I know. Pretty crazy." Amaya nodded.
"Agreed. So, wanna kill some zombies?"
"Hell yeah!"
"Let’s go then."

Prince James made his way over to a noble house that was supporting the third prince. They were sending out their forces to aid in protecting the kingdom and knew that the conflict between princes was to be put on hold.
"Men! Make sure to deliver the supplies and help protect the kingdom!" The prince shouted.
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers went around the estate and gave supplies to the knights who were about to head out and fight against the Zombies.
Upon seeing this, the Lord of the estate stepped out and greeted the Prince with respect.
"It is an honor to be in your presence, Prince James."
"Lord Harris, please, we’re in a crisis right now, no need to show me that level of respect."
"Yes, your highness. May I ask you what the purpose of this is?" Harris was skeptical of receiving support from the prince, and he wanted no problems with him.
"Lord Harris, I’ve thought long and hard about this, and I’ve reached an epiphany. This isn’t about my brother or me. This is about the people, our kingdom, and our future. I’m not selfish enough to cause harm to my people in a time of need."
Lord Harris was very proud of the prince. He actually helped with his education when he was younger, so it was nice to see James see things this way.
"I’m proud of you, James. Let’s protect our home together."
Prince James smiled. "Yes, let’s make sure that we’re here to see tomorrow."
For the rest of the day, Prince James went around the kingdom, helping out nobles who belonged to his brother’s faction. He used an enchanted horse carriage that moved extremely fast to get around.
He wasn’t able to reach every noble, but he went to the most important ones in Henry’s faction.
Once night fell, he returned to the castle.
"Everything went well, your highness, or should I say, your Majesty?" Carl smiled.
"Heh, that’s right. When morning comes, everyone will know me as King James. Activate the bombs."
Carl pulled out a piece of paper with a magic circle on it, ripping it in half.
James looked out of his window. He wouldn’t be able to see all of it, but he would be able to see some of it. As for what he was looking for, it was large explosions.
All of the supply crates that he gave the nobles were enchanted with an explosive magic circle with a remote activation spell attached to it.
Multiple houses were caught in an explosion, killing dozens of people while injuring even more.
As he expected, James was able to see a few explosions from his room, and that put a smile on his face.
"Let’s move while everyone is still confused."
"Yes, your majesty."
Carl and James stormed out of the room, acting surprised like everyone else. He ran into his father, mother, and younger sister in the hall alongside the guards.
"What happened?" The king asked
"There has been some sort of explosion, your Majesty. The knights are investigating it as we speak." A guard responded.
"Father, this could be an...eh, I don’t even feel like acting." James just stabbed King Louis in the heart with a dagger he kept hidden in his sleeve.
"B-Brother?" Elizabeth looked at James in horror.
"J-James? What is the meaning of this?!" Queen Victoria lunged at James, but Carl knocked her away.
"That’s ’your Majesty to you, mother. Starting right now, I’m the king. Guards, take them away." He removed his dagger from his father’s heart and walked to the throne room.
