I nodded my head at her request, but Sigfried became utterly confused. "Franny, what the fuck are you talking about? You need to stay here. With me. We have a job to do."

Francesca ignored her brother and turned to me. "Apollo, can we crash on your couch? I would go to Tamara’s but there is a high chance he would just follow us."

I nodded my head once more. "Of course. You can have the guest room." I said and after I did Sigfried began chuckling.

"Oh is this your little game, huh Apollo? Is this what you do? Act the white knight and seem all high and mighty. What is Orchid, the princess and that disgusting alien not enough for you? Are you planning on fucking my sister as well? Huh is that-"

*Whoosh*

I extended my arm out and just narrowly missed Sigfried’s face, by design. I then spoke in a dire tone. "That was a warning. You know how fast I can move Sigfried. Do not speak ill of my loved ones or I won’t miss again."

I then did something I didn’t usually do. I postured up. Stuck out my chest and began sizing up the man in front of me. I respected the guy for a while, he was a strong peer, but the way he treats those close to him...

I saw Sigfried begin to square up. His shoulders tensed, his hands clenched into fists as he looked me up and down. I could feel his eyes all over me. He was looking into the future with that power of his. Seeing what would happen. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

So I thought about using the stick and the moment I did I could see his demeanour shift into confusion before he ultimately grunted. "Whatever."

He then slammed the door and locked it behind him.

Francesca let out a sigh of relief that nothing occurred before turning to Apollo. "Thank you for standing up to him Apollo. What he just said about Tamara... That was just wrong. I will take her to yours now. Should I knock when I get there or just go right in?"

"No thanks are needed. I did what any man should have done. It’s not a big deal. Also, no need. A party is going on, just take her in and straight upstairs. Find Nerissa and she will help you out. I’ll go and find someone to make sure you are set for the expedition."

A few hours of chasing around later, I had made it back home. The party was still going on, unsurprisingly with the amount of alcohol Valerica buys... it seemed my absence wasn’t noticed by most, but at least someone noticed.

"Apollo, there you are. Where have you been? Come on, dance with me!" Hailey declared pulling me into the middle of the room. I wanted to go and check on the guests. But when a princess is grinding against you the way this one was... That is not something you walk away from.

The next morning I woke up refreshed. Onyx to my left, Orchid to my right and Janine atop me. As much as I didn’t want to get out of the love burrito. I had things I needed to do. Especially now that I only had today to do them.

The question was how to get out of this burrito without waking up my lovelies? The answer came from my left as I received a kiss on the cheek, grabbing my attention. Onyx then bit her lips as I turned to her, clearly wanting a bit more and I obliged.

She leaned forward slightly, her hands caressing the sides of my head as she pressed her lips against mine for a moment of passion.

With the bribe paid, she smirked and allowed me to leave from her side while simultaneously taking my place. She knew Orchid would not be happy to see her instead of me when she woke up, hence the bribe was a key part of this bargain.

After a quick shower. I noticed my clothes were already waiting for me in the bathroom, a touch I appreciated. I got dressed then left the room, blowing Onyx a kiss on the way out.

Once out of the door, I immediately turned left and walked to the end of the row of doors and knocked on the guest room.

I waited for a moment and was about to step away when the door opened. Francesca appeared in the door wearing nothing but her black laced underwear. It took me by surprise for a moment before I became respectful and maintained eye contact.

"Hey, I just wanted to check if the two of you are doing alright? I didn’t mean to cause a scene last night. I just got defensive about my friend." I admitted.

Francesca rested her shoulder against the door frame and looked back into the room. "Don’t sweat it. You did the right thing Apollo. I am fine, my bro has been pissing me right the fuck off lately with his indecisions. I heard him speak to our old friend the other month about some plan for our future. Something about a great force or something, but he won’t spill the beans. And I don’t like being left in the dark. So if he wants to sit in his pit of filth and brood. He can. I will take the fight to our enemies. Like we used to do."

I nodded. "I see. How is Tammy?" I then asked. Francesca looked back into the room, a pained expression on her face before turning back to me.

"How else could she be feeling after the man she loves said that about her? She is heartbroken. I at least thought my brother liked her y’know? Why has he kept her around since we were kids if he didn’t? But to say those things with such hate in his voice... It’s like he is a different man ever since Helia and Selene just meandered into our lives. Ugh, they treat him like a pampered little brat and that is exactly what he has turned into... It will do us both good to step away from him for a time."

"Hmm. Ok. Well you two rest up. There is food in the fridge and cupboards, so help yourself. I have some things I need to do today, so take care."

"Bye."

Francesca watched for a moment as Apollo walked away before shutting the door. She then looked down at herself in genuine confusion. ’He didn’t even take a single glance? I would question if he was gay, but I’m not delusional.’

Apollo was her type. Tall, fit, muscular but not overly bulky and most important of all, he was genuinely kind and a caring man. She would have been more open about her crush towards him if she thought it would lead to anything. But the man has a harem and she wasn’t thrilled about the idea of sharing a boyfriend, so she was fine with the friendship as it was. She just thought to test the waters then was all. But with no nibble on her bait, she went and lay back down next to Tamara. She had been up all night consoling her crying friend and was in dire need of some sleep.

"Morning you three." I greeted, jovially, towards those in my living room.

"Morning."

"Hey.

"Good Morning, Apollo."

Valerica, Hailey and Nerissa said respectively. I addressed Hailey first as I walked to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "How was Janine’s bed?" I asked.

Hailey rolled her eyes. "I am surprised she is able to get out of it if I am being honest. It was so overwhelmingly soft. I felt like I was being eaten by the mattress. I am used to much harder surfaces."

I chuckled hearing that as I sat down and wrapped my arm around her. "Well don’t say I didn’t offer you to sleep in my room."

Hailey then rested her head against my shoulder. "I think the first time we share a bed should be after we do the deed. And even though I despise the man, formality dictates that we need to sit down and have dinner with my father before we can do that... For now though I will take some kisses, maybe?"

"Then we will make it the primary order of business when I come back then." I declared and kissed Hailey passionately. I was actually very glad our relationship was going at a slow pace. It allowed us to really feel our emotions for one another. The relationship was one big surprise to me. But ever since our first date, it has been more than a welcome one.

"Ahem!"

A voice then interrupted us, prompting Hailey to pull away and comment. "If you don’t like it, don’t look. My boyfriend is leaving for who knows how long. I am going to kiss him while I have the chance."

Hailey was then about to resume the kissing when Valerica spoke.

"Yes, and that boyfriend is my son. And I need to speak to my son, so get your tongue away from his so he can speak to me."
