The Informal Tomb Raiding Diary: She is the occupant of the tomb!-Chapter 169: Have You Seen Green Giant?
I’m not a doctor or a scientist, and I’ve never saved anyone using this method before. I don’t have a clue.
Cong Zhibo’s condition is severe, and technically, he should be saved first. But his physical state is so poor that if I don’t get the dose right, it’ll undoubtedly be a swift end for him.
Bi Shi dashed into the cockpit holding a still-beating heart in his hands. I felt its size was off and wanted to take a look, but Chen Qinghan and Cong Zhibo’s conditions couldn’t be delayed any longer. I have to give them the "Immortal Pill" first.
"Guan Hai, this Immortal Pill needs a medicinal primer. Go to the fishing room and catch a fish." I said with a false air of seriousness.
Guan Hai had pinned all his hopes on me, and without asking any questions, he ran to the fishing room and caught a lively fish.
"The Immortal Pill needs fresh blood from a living creature as a primer. Fish blood should work too." I muttered deliberately, cutting open the fish’s belly with a dagger.
Guan Hai stood at the door, while I faced away from him, blocking Chen Qinghan’s head with my body, pretending to take something out of my pocket and mixing it with fish blood to feed him.
At Cong Zhibo’s stage of illness, he had already started biting people and going mad. Chen Qinghan’s willpower was astonishing. Despite not recognizing me now and being in a state of confusion, he was still desperately restraining himself and not attacking anyone who came close.
I didn’t dare to give him too much. While killing the fish, I cut my finger, letting a small amount of blood out.
Then the wound healed immediately, and my blood mixed with the fish blood, making it impossible for Guan Hai to notice anything strange.
Though there are no buns, this is similar to the principle of human blood buns—no scientific basis, yet cannot help but trust it, hoping it can save lives.
We were indulging in feudal superstitions here, while over there, Bi Shi had unexpectedly activated the Shell Ship.
Guan Hai ran excitedly into the cockpit, and I seized the moment to quickly cut my finger again, squeezing out more blood to keep as a backup.
Chen Qinghan took the "Immortal Pill," and initially showed no reaction. I was considering increasing the dose when he suddenly fell to the ground and started rolling.
If he goes berserk, this room won’t contain him. I had blood ready in my palm to feed him but he suddenly sprang up like a carp, leaping onto the ceiling.
The vines binding him had snapped, and he was hanging from the ceiling light like a monkey, his eyes completely crimson, with a hint of green if you looked closely.
"Come on, come down and have a bite to eat." I raised my palm, attempting to entice him to come down and drink the remaining blood.
Chen Qinghan neither went mad biting people nor came down, stubbornly clinging to the light post, staring at me intently with his red and green eyes.
By now, the Shell Ship had left the dock, slowly sailing out of the gate.
Back to being surrounded by seawater, the ship’s hull became transparent again, and the dispersed jellyfish skirts regrouped, completely covering the gate.
It’s unclear how long Chen Qinghan would remain in this state, but him not passing away on the spot gave me a bit of encouragement.
I gently exited the room, heading to Cong Zhibo’s, where he now played the role of a zombie without needing makeup.
His eyes surely couldn’t see anything anymore—only whites, no pupils—but he sensed someone approaching, struggling frantically to break free from the ropes.
But in reality, his movements were barely visible; he didn’t have the strength to struggle further.
I used his own clothes to lift and cover his head, leaving only his mouth exposed. Seizing the moment as he opened his mouth to bite me, I slapped my palm blood into his mouth.
Then quickly withdrew my hand, letting him bite nothing, and his throat automatically swallowed the blood that entered his mouth, uttering excited moans.
Fool! Didn’t even realize what kind of blood he drank—happy too soon.
Cong Zhibo’s reaction time was shorter than Chen Qinghan’s, and its intensity immediately attracted the attention of Guan Hai and the leader from the cockpit.
"What’s happening to him?" The leader asked, puzzled.
"After eating the Immortal Pill, it’s probably a bit difficult to adapt." I said, looking at Cong Zhibo’s distorted face and twitching limbs. I felt uneasy—might have caused him some trouble.
The dose I gave Cong Zhibo was less than Chen Qinghan’s, considering his relatively "fragile" physical state, worrying that strong medication might harm him.
Now looking at it, the dose still seems a bit too much; Cong Zhibo broke free of the ropes, first rolling on the ground, then cartwheeling, flipping sideways and forward, then backward—I could almost hear drumbeats in my head.
Did he eat a throwback?
While Chen Qinghan was still hanging on the light post, Cong Zhibo was cartwheeling around. I retreated to the door, looking innocently at the leader and Guan Hai.
The leader and Guan Hai looked at me blankly. If even I couldn’t explain the current situation, they were even more confused.
"The Immortal Pill... cough, when mortals eat it, they might get indigestion." I really couldn’t explain Chen Qinghan and Cong Zhibo’s bizarre behavior, had to force an explanation.
"Oh." The leader and Guan Hai replied in unison, nodding at the same time.
Really? Believing so easily? At least question it!
My inner self roared, scratching my head, shrugging at me, indicating it had done its best.
Chen Qinghan was quiet amid his antics, but I still wasn’t at ease, asking the leader to keep an eye on him first.
Cong Zhibo’s cartwheeling stopped after five minutes, giving us quite a scare. The pus sores on his body were gone, but his skin turned into a pattern of red and green, like a colorful ball.
"This..." Guan Hai looked at me, perplexed.
"Have you seen the Green Giant?" I tried explaining the inexplicable scene in a way he might understand.
"Seen it." Guan Hai’s mind clearly struggled to adjust.
"The Immortal Pill is green, fish blood is red; eat them together, and that’s the effect."
Upon hearing me, Guan Hai nodded again, displaying an "Oh, I see" expression. I wanted to pry open his head to see what he had learned in school all these years.
But he had no other options but to trust me now, probably having been too stimulated, he lowered his IQ in hopes of not losing it.
Could it be that the car-sickness from cartwheeling made him dizzy? Cong Zhibo started vomiting after stopping, spewing a puddle of black goo that had bubbles.
After vomiting, he fell to the side, seemingly having drifted off to sleep. I went in and carried him out, moving him to another room.
Can’t let him sleep next to the stinking vomit pile.
Putting him in the new room and leaving Guan Hai to watch him, I quickly headed to check on Chen Qinghan, to see if he had vomited.
Sure enough, he had too, though not as much as Cong Zhibo. I jumped up and pulled him off the light post; he didn’t resist, allowing me to carry him into the new room.
Maybe tired from hanging on the light, as soon as I put him to bed, he fell asleep.
The leader and Guan Hai stayed behind to guard them, with both now quiet, so I placed them in the same room.
Cong Zhibo’s rotting pits had healed, but I was still uneasy, fearing they’d transform into other creatures.
Turning into other creatures might be fine, but I fear they’d become creatures like me with super regenerative power, losing their minds and hurting people everywhere, and that would be a real atrocity.
