Today’s outdoor shoot didn’t have much of a role for Cheng Tingting. Being a newcomer and never having participated in any filming, she didn’t do well even if the requirements were fairly low.

Though Nie Anni, who had experience from shooting commercials and small clips before, gained some insights into filming from previous collaborations. Handling a shoot that wasn’t too demanding was quite easy for her.

The outdoor footage was mostly shot the day before, so today’s progress was fast. Moreover, the sky was overcast and seemed like it was about to rain. The director decided everyone should speed up to wrap early.

Before wrapping up, Mo Siyu showed up. Today, Zhao Ziyin and her crew were also there. Seeing Mo Siyu arrive, Zhao Ziyin instinctively stepped back a bit.

However, Mo Siyu didn’t approach her but instead wandered over to Yu Zexiao.

Although Yu Zexiao’s spirits weren’t high upon seeing him, he seemed normal and gave it no further thought, asking, "Where’s Anning? She said she’d wait for you inside. Didn’t you come together?"

Mo Siyu was taken aback, and then said, "The little assistant isn’t here? But didn’t she get into Situ Xuan’s car headed here long ago?"

Mo Siyu had stayed home for a while, waiting for an assistant to return with a forgotten item before he tagged along.

He glanced around, "But that’s not right; they left a long time ago. If not here, then where did they go?"

Yu Zexiao immediately realized something was wrong, hurriedly took out his phone, and called Jian Anning!

The phone kept ringing, "beep beep," for a long while, but no one answered!

Yu Zexiao’s mind exploded; how could he have forgotten? Situ Xuan harbored desires for her, and in this secluded place, what if he nabbed her somewhere—then what?

Yu Zexiao’s face turned livid; suddenly, he grabbed Mo Siyu by the collar, "She patiently waited for you, and why did you let her go with the surname Situ! You knew damn well the surname Situ was interested in her, yet left her alone in the car, you’re simply..."

Yu Zexiao was furious; had he known, he wouldn’t have left Jian Anning alone in the room, waiting for this ungrateful wretch Mo Siyu!

"If anything happens to Anning, I will never forgive you!"

Mo Siyu truly hadn’t slept the previous night; he was a bit out of sorts. Jian Anning said she wanted to leave, and Situ Xuan offered her a ride, but Mo Siyu didn’t think much of it. Now, as his senses returned and he thought about it, he broke out in a cold sweat!

He also knew Jian Anning and Yu Zexiao were on the verge of getting married; encountering such issues at this critical juncture was indeed a lapse on his part!

He should’ve come along. But... it didn’t occur to him that the beast Situ Xuan would dare do anything to Jian Anning!

"What’s wrong, Zexiao?" All the assistants involved in filming gathered around, especially Cheng Tingting and the others, eager to approach upon seeing something amiss with Yu Zexiao.

Even Zhao Ziyin was puzzled upon witnessing Mo Siyu being seized by Yu Zexiao. She went up to ask, "Where’s Anning? Why isn’t she here?"

Cheng Tingting stood by and sneered, "Slacking off, right? She must be resting at home!"
