"What a joke. Do you think I’m afraid of them?" Situ Xuan sneered coldly. To him, Starlight Entertainment was nothing.
If he wanted, he could buy out the entire company! If they really intended to report him to the police, they would have acted yesterday. Why wait until now?
He guessed Jian Anning probably didn’t have such strong intentions to sue him. Although when she said "let bygones be bygones" yesterday, he mostly understood the multiple layers in her words. One was genuine gratitude for saving her life, because if it hadn’t been for his repeated rescues during yesterday’s landslide, she might have really died. Secondly, there was a fear of being alone with him, implying she was afraid of him doing something again. And another meaning in her words about letting things go—it was about their engagement!
