Chen Hui’s voice wasn’t quiet, and upon hearing gossip about Jiang Xun, many girls gathered around.

"Probably not. Maybe department hottie sounds more reasonable. I heard that in our batch of freshmen, there’s a guy from another department who’s exceptionally handsome, like a prince from a fairy tale, and he’s even a mixed-race!"

A few girls chattered away, and Ruan Jiaojiao stood by listening. When she heard this, her eyes lit up.

"But I heard that guy seems to already have a partner, still from our department. I heard yesterday afternoon someone even came to pick them up downstairs at our department building. They looked so close."

With a chorus of "yes," the crowd dispersed, everyone rushing off towards the cafeteria.

Ruan Jiaojiao watched the dispersing crowd but didn’t move. She sat by a small flowerbed on the side because she had already arranged to meet Duan Xi, and once they were dismissed for breakfast, she just needed to wait for him there.
