Chapter 1547: Chapter 734: Fall of the Blood God (Part 2)

The voice was ethereal and distant, amidst layers of noise, chaos, and discordant screams.

If not for Rod’s acute perception, he would never have heard this voice.

"Wh...what? Who are you?"

The voice did not answer his question, instead continued: "That is the Divine Origin Base, the foundation that bears the Divine Soul, composed of Divine Source Material. Like Source Material, it cannot be destroyed by conventional means. Returning to the Base means it can no longer affect the outside world, but likewise won’t be influenced by it, except in a few rare cases."

Undoubtedly, this "rare case" was "Soul Blast," the Blood God’s soul returned to the Divine Origin Base, focusing solely on countering him.

Rod immediately understood and instinctively asked: "What should be done then?"

"Destroy the Blood God Country, weaken the Divine Kingdom Spiritual Power."

Rod suddenly awakened and shouted, "King, stop attacking, the shell cannot be destroyed, destroy the Divine Country, destroy it and I can win!"

For some reason, he chose to trust this unknown voice without hesitation.

Similarly, the King also chose to trust Rod without hesitation.

His calm voice spread across the battlefield.

"Everyone, full attack, destroy the Divine Country!"

The already fierce battle grew even more intense, the King’s flames descended from the sky, entering the battlefield for the first time.

The involvement of the True King completely reversed the situation on the battlefield of blood, showing a one-sided stance.

Even heavily injured, the King was almost invincible in such a battlefield, the True King’s fire raged madly, turning flesh creations to ashes.

The surging tide of fire completely crushed the tide of blood.

With the King’s participation, the warriors’ morale soared infinitely high; they knew each kill of a flesh creation granted Lord Rod a chance of victory. Even High Rank combatants under the Commander could join the True King Level battle in this way.

Everyone was boiling with passion, straining their utmost to kill flesh creations.

Masses of flesh monsters fell at their hands, notably the Black Battle Group, War Magic Statue, and Calier’s secret forces.

Kashan, Teresa, and Anna, Mephit and Frank, all formed their own rapid slaughter methods, their speed not inferior to the Monarchs.

Especially Frank, whose plant empire had expanded to tens of thousands of yards around, countless frozen potatoes tracing perfect arcs into the blood tide, its fire coverage even surpassing the Spiritual Power Railgun on the city walls.

And eleven War Magic Statue No. 59 rampaged across the battlefield, no longer using conventional attacks but killing monsters with their incredibly tough exterior and weight, like steamrollers leaving fiery traces in their wake.

Calier’s secret forces were the most surprising; their warriors exhibited unbelievable destructive power, particularly the four vanguards at the front, Annie, Wawa, Geoffrey, and Black Claw Amora, like sharp claws tearing the blood tide.

And Asa’s curse finally played its role, mass flesh creations turned into slow-moving stumps, and more flesh monsters melted into filthy mixtures.

Asa wielded the Trident, madly piercing monsters in laughter, the filthy mass rising, absorbed into his soul through the Trident.

In such a frenzied slaughter, the endless blood tide finally showed boundaries, the flesh creations finally reaching an end.

The Blood God’s power rapidly declined, soon arriving at a critical juncture.

Rod once more manipulated the soul strings, the Blood God’s soul trembled urgently, but no longer had any means to resist.

Bang!

With a muffled noise from the Void, Rod snapped the strings, the Blood God’s soul emitted a mad wail, its transparent shell immediately covered in black cracks, black air spewing rapidly from the fissures.

Soon, the black air surged skyward, obscuring the very heavens, the Blood God’s soul collapsing amidst its screams, all three lines shattered, the shell known as the "Divine Origin Base" simultaneously exploding.

As the last sanctuary fell, a scorched humanoid appeared before Rod, engulfed in dense black air, unprecedented "Quantization" occurring on him, countless black fog turning void, the Source returning to the Void.

Is this the true form of the Blood God?

Rod’s eyes widened.

From its shape, why does it feel like a human?

But isn’t the Blood God inherently divine?

Humans becoming gods can only be True Kings.

Though unclear on the distinction between True Kings and Divine beings, Rod knew True Kings only appeared at the end of the Second Epoch and the beginning of the Third Epoch.

And by then, the Blood God was already one of the True Gods, impossible to be human.

While puzzled, a massive black air surged from the Blood God, Rod felt a bone-chilling cold, the black air contained immense malice, fortunately dissipating quickly.

"This seems to be the Blood God’s instinct."

The Book of Knowledge speculated, its entire structure slumping to the ground; overstimulated exhaustion making it seem listless.

"With instinct departed, what remains is its consciousness?"

Rod turned his eyes.

Indeed, beneath the steaming black air, a transparent humanoid appeared, its facial features blurred, its whole form floating, seemingly not existing in this world.

"Ah."

With a long sigh, it murmured softly:

"Finally, finally freed, for countless millennia I haven’t experienced a single moment free of terrifying torment."

"Thank you, successor, for liberating me from this eternal agony."

Rod suppressed his shock, urgently asking: "Are you the God of Contaminated Blood?"

The transparent figure shook its head: "No, I am the Blood God of Life, Blood Purification God, Taranor’s creator and Guardian, my name is." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

The air vibrated, invisible Source feedback surged forth.

In the distance, endless darkness gathered.

But finally, it uttered the word.

"Mu!"

Thunder rumbled across the sky, a rare phenomenon.

The Book of Knowledge shouted: "High Rank Source feedback! We’ve triggered a taboo!"

Rod turned a deaf ear, only fixing his gaze on the transparent humanoid.

"Are you human?"

"Yes, all True Gods were once humans."

It answered slowly, quickly dissipating after uttering its name.

"Forgive my slow speaking speed, I’m only trying to convey more, without mentioning my name. Without it, I couldn’t utter a word."

Rod’s thoughts flashed, immediately thinking of the Source Prophecy concerning the "Ancient God," could it mean him?

The Blood God’s phantom slowly raised its hands.

"Run, quickly run."

Its tone was slow but heavy, filled with condensed fear.

"Spill your blood and spirit, build a true Eternal Sanctuary, leave the Plane, hide in the Void, eternally drift within it."

Rod’s heart trembled, urgently asking: "Why? Why do this?"

As the transparent figure was about to speak, suddenly, black fog surged within its soul, like ink dripping into clear water.

Its expression swiftly twisted and turned mad.

"Inevitable destruction, no chance of winning, we can’t win."

Its tone hurried, waving its hands in madness.

Black fog rapidly spread, almost occupying its Spiritual Body.

"Despair, defeat, corruption, no trace of hope, black fog will sweep again, this world, ultimately submerged."

"Run, child, quickly run..."

Bang!

Its Residual Spirit exploded, dissipating as curls of black smoke in the air.

A barely audible voice sounded by Rod’s ear.

"Weapon, given to you, contains information inside..."

As the voice faded, in Rod’s hand appeared the Soul Weapon belonging to the Blood God—Black Blood Eye.

More black dust surged, nearly drowning the whole world.

A breath like a gray dragon merged into Rod’s chest.
