The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1588 - 751: Temporal Demon Worms (Part 3)
The intense white light illuminated the dim upper levels of the Spirit Realm, like snow-white petals of a flower piercing the transparent membrane, causing significant damage to the demon worms.
Yet the resilience of the gathered demon worms exceeded Rod’s expectations; even a "Superstar Flash" wasn’t able to kill them. Rod was surprised to find that their souls seemed to fuse into everything, forming a larger entity.
This fusion granted them powerful life force, forcing Rod to unleash several rounds of heavy strikes. With the blessing of "Truth," each of his strikes was nearly perfect. Finally, he tore this enormous soul apart and immediately plunged into its soul’s flaw, pulling a reverse grip.
Bang!
Accompanied by a muffled sound from the Void, the demon worms shattered, their bodies disintegrating, and the transparent membrane collapsed.

Finally defeated!
Rod immediately returned to the Dream Realm, finding the pollution in the City of Calamity far worse than he imagined; even using a Flower of Humanity couldn’t withstand it.
But just as he stepped back into the Dream Realm, the Book of Knowledge shouted: "Master, it’s bad, more demon worms are gathering!" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Rod’s heart sank as he turned to see deep cloud masses converging in the limitless, dim space toward the Dream Realm from all directions. Looking out as far as the eye could see, it stretched to the horizon, countless in number.
No good!
Rod immediately realized the severity of the problem; if 17 demon worms were this difficult to kill, then with so many, he’d exhaust his Spiritual Energy without resolving it.
"Run!"
Rod rushed to the Light Platform beside him, and the Book of Knowledge instinctively yielded control of the Dream Bubble to its master.
Rod’s skill in controlling the Dream Realm for escape was unparalleled; anyone would be hard-pressed to claim superiority.
Countless blue rings emerged from the Spiritual Power Propulsion Ring at the rear of the Dream Bubble, its propulsion power instantly surged to the maximum, accelerating the Dream Realm madly. Like a bolt of lightning, it pierced into the cloud mass sideways, slipping through amidst the hair’s breadth distance.
"Remarkable, Master," the Book of Knowledge yelled.
Rod concentrated intently, maneuvering the Dream Realm through the dense cloud masses.
The Dream Realm moved like lightning, akin to a butterfly in a storm, perfectly fusing speed and skill. Even in seemingly impossible spaces, he found flaws.
Thus, the Dream Realm evaded this round of attack.
But before they could catch a breath, the next wave of attacks arrived.
Though Rod dodged again using precise controls, the further the Dream Realm delved, the more cloud masses appeared, with the attacks never ceasing.
Critically, he didn’t know the direction and couldn’t find the being with the "Divine Soul."
What to do?
Continuing like this was not viable; even if Rod kept dodging, the disturbances would grow larger. If by chance he ventured too deep into the City of Calamity encountering greater dangers, it’d be catastrophic.
Direction.
Now, direction was paramount.
Rod eagerly looked at the Book of Knowledge, but it too was at a loss.
"Master, if it doesn’t work, we might have to retreat."
Rod’s heart sank; continually re-entering the same high-level Spirit Realm was a taboo. If they retreated, returning would be uncertain.
But lacking alternatives, it was the only choice, better than facing annihilation here.
Rod gritted his teeth, just about to control the Dream Realm to return, when suddenly, the voice of the Book of the Future sounded from the House of God.
"Master, I’m awake!"
