The armor provided thigh and calves guards too, with the boots made with similar material. I also bought a sword and an elemental cannon.

Elemental cannon is oh my god, the best thing ever! You can wear it like a ring and it will make a golden colored scope over your finger.

Than... You can shoot laser beams from it!!!

Like literal golden laser beams that use your body’s natural arcana as an energy source. Even without a proper arcana core, I had abundant amounts of Arcana.

The long sword I brought was as long as my entire waist. Mind you, I am 6’4. And it was really thick and wide. Heavy, it was naturally. But, like I said, weight isn’t a problem.

It was pure black blade with black hilt that was ornated with silver gems. First reason for buying it was obviously because... It looked hella cool!

Second, I could fly comfortably on it since it was broad enough. But might take some more effort and focus since it’s heavier.

Third, it complimented my strength. And my high agility meant it didn’t slow me as it should be. This was much stronger than an assassin based build.

Like, I could obviously move faster with daggers and use precise attacks to end fights quickly but they weren’t strong enough to harm monsters as big as the titans. Obviously I bought two daggers too.

So now, I was armed to the teeth. Elemental cannon for long range. Broad sword for bigger opponents close range. Daggers for human and smaller beasts close range. I also still possessed my golden revolver.

Just as I was admiring myself in the broad mirror, a feminine, soft voice, "H–How do I look?" asked me in low voice.

I was hard.

I wasn’t trying to deny that fact. Alya’s outfit was just so perfect.

Anyways.

My eyes widened as I glanced in her direction, a brown leather crop top that covered her shoulders to breasts, but left her entire slim waist with some abs visible.

Her baggy black pants sat low on her wide hips and plump thighs, the thin black belt over the pants’ buckle traced the faint V at the base of her abdomen that made the whole outfit look really hot.

Over her crop top was a heavy fur coat that reached to her knees. It covered her shoulders and arms fully as it should since it was cold af but it still was unbuttoned.

This meant I could still enjoy the perfect sight of her about to explode tight crop top struggling around her J cup breasts with waist and V line all uncovered.

I spread my arms wide, got on my knees and screamed poetically, getting the amused looks from every customer in the shop that thought of us as a young couple, which we were.

A completely red faced Alya glared at me like she wanted to kill me, so cute. Subaru and Suge had already left the shop while covering their faces with black shawls like they didn’t know us.

"It’s a memory that’s etched in my mind now and it won’t stop rising in the center of my mind every time I lay on the bed to sleep, and I will spend thirty minutes at least just appreciating the beauty of—"

"I GET IT! I GET IT! STOP IT!!" Alya cried, than her figure blurred, moving at a speed blinding to everyone below high C rank.

My arm was yanked and the next moment I was sitting by the wall on a footpath, on a road two streets away from the armor shop.

Alya glaring at me like I just killed her family with a face so red you’d mistake it for an anime girl blushing.

I really did went far, I guess. If I was my old self and a girl said that to me, I’d be... happy at first, but then fly a few countries away from that public space. With that imaginary girlfriend of course.

I lowered my head, getting on my knees and closing my eyes. Ready for an earful and weeks of making up with her.

"...Y–You looked handsome too." That’s all she said. With a voice so low I’d to focus on her whisper even with the super hearing.

My face reddened. Even redder than her.

Just as I tried to open my eyes I felt a hand, soft and warm, grab my face fully, obstructing my vision. "Shut up!" I didn’t even say anything.

"I am still mad! Don’t look!" She added the latter part knowing a hand couldn’t stop [Eye of Sanguine] from looking.

Surprisingly Subaru hadn’t bought any heavy armor. Well, I guess it’s not that surprising as he, even at this stage, would be slowed down considerably if he were to wear it.

He’d require Arcana reinforcement to maintain his speed under heavy armor, which will also drain his novice grade core hard.

I looked at his broad back as we followed behind him and he behind Suge.

All he had bought was a bow, a quiver filled with more than forty slim arrows, a leather elbow guard and knee guard, with three pocket knives and more than sixteen potions, some recovered health, some arcana.

Even though I said him it was all on Suge and there was so much he could’ve bought, that’s all he could think of? Like he also told us that he was really good in spear arts.

Looking up at the rapidly darkening sky, I sighed. I suppose with his martial arts alone, he could stand on equal footing with us.

Armor, weapons just made him stronger than us. I did believe if he used White goose against me in our hypothetical duel, my regeneration wouldn’t hinder him that much. It wouldn’t be one sided right now definitely.

This made me a bit depressed as he was literally way weaker than me stat wise. How much a skill issue even was that? To tie to an opponent thirty levels lower than you.

If that happened in a PvP game, I’d delete it in an instant. Maybe even sell away my computer.

Putting that aside, we passed by the main entrance of Sepherdia again. The stone walls seemed to shine even in the dark.

"Why must travel in the dark?" Subaru asked as we got on a road surrounded by silent, mossy grassy plains covered in slight mist.

But the cold night was really brutal. Even if it didn’t harm me any form, sitting inside a freezer wouldn’t be pleasant. Who knew how much more worse it was for Subaru.

Dude was still just wearing his cotton black kimono that revealed half his muscular chest.

There were so many coats all over the market we walked around for an hour. His body was shivering and shaking, you could hear his teeth clattering from a hundred meters.

He absolutely deserved it.

"I am busy tomorrow," Suge shrugged, "We will get everything we need by dawn so try to keep up with me. That would warm you up, haha." He chuckled before turning towards me and Alya who were snuggling together, "That goes for you two."

We instantly distanced each other and nodded seriously. After Suge gave us a long look that would give us cringe attacks years later in midnight before he began to jog faster and faster.

"Stay close to Subaru, his arcana sense shouldn’t allow him to see too far. We should’ve bought some lanterns." Suge sighed as we followed right by his side.

Subaru also seemed to shiver much less as he poured arcana in his legs to match our pace.

"Can’t help it, eh. Let’s just keep one eye on Subaru." I replied, only to be met Subaru’s glare.

"...I am not a child who will get lost." His low whisper made both me and Suge flinch. Transcendent rank was scary, even without powers.

"I can just inject my blood in his body? I could track him then, if he got lost." Alya apparently hadn’t paid attention to the dangerous growl and made his face darken even more.

"I would be grateful," But to my bewilderment, Subaru just replied flatly. What is this blatant sexism?

Not really, Alya’s voice was I suppose more reasonable. His ego might have gotten hurt when we were talking about sum keep an eye or stay close like he was a child at a carnival.

Practical solution sounded much better than that.

After that conversation, no one really talked much as we entered the Hell palace. Suge said that no Oni is threat to a Saint class, since we are travelling at just the most beginner areas.

No matter how epic, it still was a Novice grade Veil of ascension.

But right as we took the first step in the forest, Suge’s body vanished. Even with [Eye of Sanguine], I couldn’t sense it.

Than, five Siberian tiger like Onis sorrounded Alya, me and Subaru. We instantly entered fighting stances with exhange of worried glances.
