The Lust System: Brother, Please Help Me-Chapter 117: Running away, quickly
Cassandra ran up to Luka, who was not as glassy-eyed as before. When he saw Cassandra, he hugged her and spun her around. The big man pulled them apart.
"She’s mine," he said calmly.
"Like hell she is. She’s my girlfriend," Luka retorted, angry.
"Now isn’t the time," said Aiden, who had been watching Valentina’s movements.
She was still stiff, but she was taking her time to regain control. It was obvious from the way her body ticked.
"We need to go, now," Ember shouted.
They didn’t wait for anyone to get dressed. They didn’t wait for an alarm to sound. Ember reached into Aiden’s pocket and took out a black obsidian crystal and an echo crystal from his pocket.
She immediately broke both crystals. She plunged the world into darkness. But thanks to the CE, they were able to make their way through the building. The majority of the building had become dark.
The echo crystals did their job by covering their escape. No sound escaped when they activated the crystal. But while this was an advantage for them, if they did not follow the CE’s prompts carefully, they would end up in trouble.
The sound was gone for them, but it was also gone for others. The CE helped them detect and avoid any personnel who might want to harm them.
What they hadn’t expected was bringing the big guy with them. He refused to let go of Cassandra. He was already close, and when the lights went out, he immediately held Cassandra.
Now the group of four became a crowd of five.
Without caring, they moved through the street. Everyone was naked except for Aiden. If people were watching them, they wouldn’t know. They only knew that left as soon as they could.
Because of the big guy, they had to find a car and couldn’t take one out of the space. Finding a car wasn’t hard to do, but finding one with gas proved to be a challenge.
After running and searching, they were able to find one. They drove through the night, not looking back.
Valentina had no chance to chase. She couldn’t see anything because the system was down. She took a while to move her body. And everyone else in the base was working blind.
It was only after half an hour had passed that they were able to start searching. But by then, the five people had disappeared.
Valentina yelled and threw things. Her annoyed, angry screams echoed through the base. She went on a rampage, hitting and cursing.
It was only when she felt better that she calmed down. She thougth abouthow they tricked her. She was pissed, but after all the smashing she did, she felt better.
She made a vow that no matter where they went, she would find them. And that time, she wouldn’t play games. She would ensure they paid for everything they did.
The system hadn’t come back online for Valentina yet. She could only wait for it to be available before she could plan anything. There was one piece of revelation she had through her tantrum.
Ember had a system. She just didn’t know if it was a system like hers. She ruled out that possibility quickly. If that were the case, they would not have come to her base. But one thing was for sure: she definitely had a system.
It was more than an hour later that they stopped driving. They found a place to rest and put on some clothes.
When they were dressed, Ember asked the big guy, "So, where do we drop you off?"
"I go where she goes," he replied.
"Ahh...I’m not so sure that’s going to work. The place we’re going is high security. You basically have to bleed a lot to be initiated...You sell your soul." Ember tried to persuade him against coming.
"Who wants to buy my soul?" he asked.
"He does," Ember said, pointing to Aiden, a big grin plastered on her face.
"I’ll sell it," he said.
Ember’s face dropped. So did the face of everyone else. He was so willing to sell his soul? Did he think they were joking?
"Why?" Aiden asked. "And don’t tell me it’s because of her. There must be another reason."
The big guy didn’t say anything. He locked eyes with Aiden as though he thought his stare could make Aiden back down. But today, he chose the wrong person.
"My name is Alen Strauss. The reason I want to come with you...is her." Alen said, his face completely serious.
"She had a boyfriend. You know that," Ember said.
"I don’t mind, I’ll share," he said.
"Well, I mind," Luka jumped in.
"Afraid you can’t satisfy her?" Alen jeered.
Luka pulled his fist back and punched him. Alen didn’t stop him. He seemed to welcome it. His fist connected, and Alen’s head turned to the side.
"Are you done?" Alen said, turning back to Luka.
Ember’s eyes went wide. She grabbed Cassandra’s hand and shook it.
Seeing the stars in Ember’s eyes, Aiden wrapped his arm around her waist and whispered, "How about I punch him and you can look at me like that?"
"Are you trying to kill him?" Ember shot.
"I might." Aiden shrugged. "If you don’t want him to die, don’t look at him like that."
Ember turned to look at Aiden. "But it’s so fun." Ember giggled. "We both know he’s going to end up coming with us, but the process is just as fun."
"They’re done," Aiden said.
Ember’s head whipped around. He saw Alen kissing Cassandra and Luka sulking over in a corner.
Ember’s mouth was open. "I missed it?" Her voice was soft.
"Pretty much," Aiden responded.
She turned to Aiden. "You saw everything, didn’t you?"
"I did. And I appreciate your eyes being on methe entire time." Aiden kissed Ember on the cheek.
"You’d better start running, because if I catch you, I’ll beat you," Ember growled.
"Is that a promise?" Aiden asked cheekily.
Ember glared, and he ran. Ember chased him for a while before giving up. They would be staying here for a while. She decided he couldn’t run forever. She would have the chance to pin him down.
