The Lust System: Brother, Please Help Me-Chapter 135: A meeting about sex
Two hours of perfect temperature, and now she needed to get up again.
Ember couldn’t help sighing. She wondered if she made the right choice with this base nonsense. She wasn’t cut out to be a leader.
Aiden could take care of it, but she preferred to be by herself or with Aiden. Now she has to worry about whether or not the base will shut down because these people refuse ot have sex.
Is there something hard in doing what your body naturally wants?
She thought there must be a reason they refused to have sex. Whatever the reason, she needs to find out in this meeting.
Everyone gathered in the lecture hall. Both she and Aiden were among the last to step in. She did it on purpose. No sense in waiting for everyone to appear. She would rather be the last to get in.
Standing in the center of the hall, Aiden spoke, "You all know what we’re here to talk about. We need an explanation. You were told that sex is a part of what makes the base functional. So where does the problem lie? We aren’t forcing you. But it’s obvious that it’s lacking."
"You can do your daily tasks of cooking, cleaning, and so on. Those who have specific work, like admin. You all do your job. We aren’t asking you to have sex all day, every day. So tell us, what’s the problem?"
At first, no one dared speak up, but one brave soul decided to voice their concern.
"I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t have a partner, so I just don’t have sex."
"You don’t need a specific partner," Ember said. "You can do it with anyone you want."
"But you all have partners. I thought I needed to have one too."
Ivan laughed, not hiding it in the slightest. "If you had to have a partner, then we wouldn’t take single people. Do you think everyone in management is a couple?"
The woman said nothing more. Ember and the others could see people talking more now. It seems they really did think they needed a partner.
"Being a couple doesn’t matter. You can do as you please. Do you think the rooms in the base are for show? They are there for people who have specific kinks or want to try something new."
"When you went through initiation, didn’t you all have sex in a public place with whoever you wanted? That’s not going to change. Didn’t we already tell you what the pills you took mean?"
Aiden asked because he needed to know if they truly understood.
"So, what you’re saying is...it’s a free-for-all," an older man asked. "We just have fun and have sex?"
"Basically. But it’s always consensual. Unless you’re into dubious non-con or some other thing like that. Which is still consent, I guess. But that’s something to take to your partner about."
Ember turned to Aiden, wondering if he had anything else he wanted to say.
"I think that’s about it. I only need everyone to remember what keeps the lights on. Have fun, test your limits. Remember, this isn’t the same world as before doomsday."
Aiden gestured to the other, asking if there was anything they would like to say.
"There’s one thing. We need everyone to start training. Use the ghost protocol more often. There have been some sightings of zombies and mutated animals. We aren’t sure if they will come close to the base, but we need to make sure that everyone is battle-ready."
After a few more things were said, the meeting ended. Everyone went back to do their duties. Hopefully, after the talk they had, they would be more receptive and not close themselves off.
Now, the seven were left.
"I was thinking. We’re telling them to try the room, but we haven’t tried it ourselves." Alex held Adrienne’s hand. "I was thinking we could try the sensory deprivation chambers."
"I want to try all of them. But I have recruiting every day." Ivan sighed and slumped.
"Just take a day off. No one’s forcing you to go every day."
Iven side-eyed Ember. "Are you sure no one’s forcing me to go? If I’m not being force I’m taking two days off. That should be enough time to try two rooms. I can try the rest later."
"Take four days, try them all," Ivan grinned. He didn’t need to be told twice; he went directly to Cassia and went off to one of the rooms.
"Poor girl, she must be tired of him by now," Sarah remarked.
"Tired?" Adrienne scoffed. "She’s just as bad as he is. Don’t let her innocent face fool you. I’ve seen them go at it before. If he lets her take control, she’s a wildcat."
Ember was interested. She had never paid much attention to other couples. Unless Aiden is involved, it’s rare for her to go off by herself to have fun, and the few times she does, it’s almost always to get some kind of information.
"Well, whatever they are like, they’ll be fine. I’m giving everybody 4 days off. Whatever automation you need to do, do it. The next four days, we are all experiencing at least one of those rooms."
"Do we pick, or are you planning to pick for us?"
"Rienne, it’s a vacation, not work. If you decide you want to do them all, it’s up to you. And if we see each other, don’t blame me if I take a few pictures. I need those for memories."
"Oh, just make sure you finish up your work first. Check the systems and inventory to make sure we have enough of everything. Especially water. Although we recycle it, that doesn’t mean it’s not running out."
With varying degrees of anticipation, the group left the lecture hall. They were talking among themselves about which room they would want to try first.
As for Ember and Aiden, they weren’t entirely sure. They went back to their room to flip a coin.
