Rex smiled as he watched her leave. She had definitely heard everything that happened last night.
She probably hadn’t slept at all, lying awake and replaying what she’d witnessed. The sounds of Mara’s pleasure, Rex’s control, and the intense closeness of two people who couldn’t get enough of each other echoed in her mind.

Instead, she focused on her breakfast.
"Are you okay, my dear little sister?" Elliot asked with brotherly worry. "You’re looking tired."
"I... I’m fine," Lily said quickly. "I just... didn’t get enough sleep because of an... odd dream."
"Dreams, huh?" Rex asked innocently. "Those can get pretty intense at times."
"Especially the ones that are very clear." Rex clearly says that intentionally.
Lily’s face turned red, and she almost choked on her tea.
Helena looked worried at her daughter. "You might want to take a break from training today, dear..."
Lily answered too forcefully, "N-N-No!" and then changed her tone. "I-I... mean... I’m okay...! For real...!"

Lily came up to him during a break for water. She looked like she had gotten her courage up, but her cheeks were still red.
She asked softly, "C-Can we talk... after training?"
"Of course," Rex said. "Is everything going on okay with you, Lily?"
"Yes... uh... no...! M-Maybe... I don’t know." She looked very unhappy. "I just need to talk to someone for a moment."

It hurt to see how thankful she was.
After that little talk, Diana and Rex continued practicing archery in the afternoon. Rex had found that he was naturally good at it, or maybe his telekinesis was guiding his arrows without him knowing it.
