I adjusted in my seat as I felt the stares from the council members and Claire. This was my first official meeting with them after Jax and I mated and to say I was anxious was an understatement. Jax was seated beside me with his hand on mine. We weren’t holding hands but he had whispered earlier that we needed to show a united front. Whatever that meant. We were not united in the slightest. In fact I hadn’t seen him since our big fight.

He didn’t even come back to tell me that my room was ready. He didn’t want to speak to me at all. Not even the time I saw him walking down the hallway and I tried to greet him. He just breezed past me lol I wasn’t there. Or the time he and Claire were discussing in the living room. That was the most hurtful time. They were talking and laughing and when I tried to say something they both got up and left, hand in hand.

"Now that you both have mated, the next agenda is the coronation and seeing as the annual ball is coming close, we can do both on the same day." One council member announced and I could see Jax nod from the corner of my eyes. "Leonora, you know that you are in charge of the arrangements for the annual ball."

"Yes, I know. I have been preparing and I can present my plan to you anytime you are ready." I said and the member nodded.

"Now onto the next. Have you both spoken about children? Usually most Queens take in after they mate." Another member spoke and I felt my cheek heat up. This was so embarrassing. Was this how Jax discussed his life with them? "So we should be expecting news soon." He said as I turned my hand over so that Jax could intertwine his fingers with mine. His hand didn’t make any move and I felt a pit in my stomach.

"You would most definitely get some news." Claire replied and turned to look at her. There was a smirk on her face and I wondered what she meant. Was she and Jax having sex? Were they making love? Did he make her say how bad she wanted him? I shook my head as I didn’t want to have those thoughts. "Maybe an even better news than you expect." She stressed and I looked over at Jax. There was no expression on his face and I couldn’t feel whatever he was feeling. Maybe he was able to shut off the bond on his end.

"I think we should skip to the next topic. When we are ready for that conversation, we would bring it up our selves." Jax said and I nodded in response. I tried to lace our fingers together but he lifted his hand away from mine briefly. I got the hint and I wasn’t going to try again.

"This is now just for Jax’s hearing." They announced and I took Jax’s hand in mine causing him to look up at me. For a brief moment, his eyes warmed. I gave him a small smile before taking my hand away and walking out of the room.

I made my way over to Jax’s room. I wasn’t just going to sit around and listen to Claire’s jokes. I didn’t know if they were even jokes to begin with. I couldn’t confront her in the presence of all the council members and Jax.

Jax.

I didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of him. It already sucked that our relationship was already at its breaking point and I didn’t know how to fix it and what I would do make us get back together to the way things were.

I opened the door and entered into the room, closing the door behind me. I looked around the room and it looked like it hadn’t been used for a while. Everywhere was clean and arranged. This was weird because there was always an imprint on his bed from him sitting on it and not arranging it back. I walked over to his chair and sat down, waiting for his meeting to end.

When I heard the door knob giggle, my heart raced. I didn’t know what to expect from him. How would he react to seeing me in his room?

The door opened and he walked inside, slamming the door behind him.

"Are you fucking Claire?" I asked immediately as his eyes settled on me. He walked over to his bed and sat down, not giving me any attention. I got up and walked over to him, grabbing his chin to look at me. "Are you? Fucking Claire?"

"That is no longer your business. You got your space now go back and leave me the fuck alone." He raised his voice and got up from his bed. I held his chin downward, making him look at me.

"Are you fucking Claire?" I shouted, not caring if I seemed like a jealous ex or something. At least I’ll get the information I needed.

"Are you jealous?" He asked as he pulled my hand off his chin. "Are you jealous that I haven’t touched you in weeks?" He asked again as he walked around making me turn too. He took a step forward and I took a step back, making my legs hit the edge of the bed. "Tell me where you want me to touch you." He said and I scoffed, trying to step over to the corner and leave but he blocked me.

""Jax, let me go." I said and he chuckled. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

His hands held my waist as he leaned to my ear. "I said you should tell me where to touch you Leo or I’ll do whatever I want." He said and my breath hitched in my throat. He unbuckled my pants and his hand snuck into my pants, his fingers finding their way over to that little nun of pleasure.

"When I am done with you, you’ll regret ever entering this room today." He whispered into my ear as I moaned loudly.
