The Martial Unity-Chapter 2892 Fascinating Idea
2892 Fascinating Idea
"…You look stressed," Rui remarked with a raised eyebrow. "How has the sect been going recently? I have noticed that things have been very lively and dense within the pavilion."
She heaved a shaky breath. "…Ever since Your Highness broke through to the Sage Realm, our influx has increased by an order of magnitude, so much so that the Water Sect alone has been receiving almost as many applications as all other sects in the Kandrian Empire combined."
She slumped back in her chair. "…Dealing with all of this in the past few months has been difficult. On top of that, with the Water Sect becoming extremely popular across the entire continent, I have been busy dealing with the expansion and development of branches in foreign nations, coordinating with Guildmaster Bradt to tackle these project."
"…Sounds like you have had it rough."
"…"
"Take a break," Rui heaved a sigh. "And expand the workforce by as much as you need. Delegate as much as you want."
She almost cried at his words. "Thank you, Your Highness."
"I want access to the library of techniques that we have gained as contributions from not just the headquarters but also all functional branches across the entire continent," he instructed her. "It has been a few years now, and considering the sheer scale of our sect, we must have gathered quite the loot of adaptive evolution technique contributions."
She nodded. "We have already prepared an entire library with neatly organized scrolls and technique guides and all manner of contributions that have been made by the members of the Water Sect."
"Nice," Rui smiled with enthusiasm.
One of the transaction systems they had set up in the Water Sect for access to its resources was contributing adaptive evolution. While money could also be transacted to ensure that the venture was profitable to his partner Guildmaster Bradt, Rui had been adamant about allowing people to contribute to his sect with techniques, principles, systems of thought, training methodologies, and anything else that aided with adaptive evolution.
That was why Rui had been eager to see just how much they had gathered in the past four years since he departed from the sect to head out on his journey through the Panama Continent. He was curious if there was something within the library that could get him excited about the prospects of mastering and adapting it to his own needs.
"Right this way, Your Highness."
She led him across the winding internal corridors of the Water Sect headquarters and into the innermost section of the sect where the library of contributions was kept.
CLACK
The door opened, unveiling a vast library space with an almost endless array of bookshelves stretching as far as the eyes could see. It was comprised of countless scrolls and books describing all manners of adaptive evolution.
Rui's pupils dilated as his eyes lit up with ecstasy. "Nice! I can't wait to dig in all of this and see if there's anything I can use to my own benefit."
"…Will you be able to go through all of these in the next ten days, Your Highness?" Mikhaela raised a concerned eyebrow.
"Of course." He smiled confidently. "Time to grind and make sure that I have gone through all of this before I depart to the Beast Domain. I will store all of it in my Mind Palace."
"Are you sure you don't want to use the manifold, Your Highness?"

"Yes, it's not worth it to spend time in the manifold at this juncture. There are others who need more than I do and really don't need a hundred and forty days or so to go through all of this."
Four to five months of training was not going to accomplish anything at his juncture of power. Back when he was an Apprentice, he could have trained multiple techniques in this timeframe if he had been extremely driven about it, but with each passing Realm, the time it took to train and master techniques grew greater and greater.
This was more of a case of his combat power going not just stronger but also more complex and multi-dimensional.
Nowadays, if he wanted to create a new technique, it needed not only to be compatible with his Martial Art, but also his Body, his Mind, and systems of thought, and he also needed to utilize his Martial Soul and materia prima in some meaningful way or else it just wasn't even a Sage-level technique.
A few months were a blink of an eye compared to the time it would take to create great techniques. It was better to allow Martial Masters to hone themselves for the sheer pressure and burdens they were going to inherit very soon.
"Then I will leave you to it, Your Highness."
Rui nodded with a curious and enthusiastic expression before immediately diving into the various contributions. It reminded him of the old days when he would scrounge the Martial Union library for more techniques and scrolls. "Fascinating."
The members of the Water Sect were more creative than he had given them credit for. There were variable breathing techniques and adaptive evolution striking techniques that adaptively evolved to their opponent by changing the form of their hands.
Much of it was things he had come up with, of course, or things that he used anyway without giving any consideration to formalizing it. Still, it was to be expected, given how long he had been doing some of these things. He paused as he came across something particularly interesting.
[Omni-Edge.]
His eyes lit up with intrigue as he studied the blueprint of what was a rather strange weapon.
A flexible weapon with an alterable form.
One that didn't rely on electronics.
It was based on miniaturization technology that relied on collapsing shifting plates that could allow a weapon to change from a spear to a sword to a gauntlet. It allowed the user to alter the form of the weapon most suited to dealing with his opponent.
His expression grew immersed as he studied the blueprints.
"Fascinating."
