The Martial Unity-Chapter 3024: The Power of the Gatekeeper
RUMBLE!!!
The world shook under the weight of Sir Armstrong's tremendous power right out of the gate into the Sage Realm. The Martial Masters stirred with hope as the Martial Sage gave them some possibility of survival, they all looked up to him as a savior as he stood as the only barrier between them and a gruesome death at the hands of the chilling humanoid entity.
The strange entity emerged from the distance it was flung to by his surprise attack and surprise breakthrough with a chilling smile on its face, turned even more eerie by the blood of Martial Masters trickling down from the edge of its mouth.
Its red cybernetic eyes shifted as it focused on the Gatkeeper, studying him with a measure of interest.
It opened its mouth, choosing to address him.
"ᛁᚩᚢ ᚪᚱᛖ ᚹᛠᚳ."
The Gatekeeper narrowed his eyes as an electronically distorted voice escaped the entity, as though he was speaking through a walkie-talkie.
He didn't understand a word that the entity uttered.
It was a foreign language that the Gatekeeper had never heard anything quite like.
Although he was far from an expert on language, he was quite confident that that language was not spoken anywhere in the world.
No, more importantly, he was certain that this entity and the strange vessel that it came from was also not of this world.
Where did they come from?
He didn't know.
And yet, it didn't matter.
"I shan't allow you to harm our Martial Artists or the Esocline Federation," the Gatekeeper's powerful tone was unyieldingly firm. "Leave this place forever and never return."
Sir Armstrong knew that it was dangerous to continue this battle when they were this close to the Esocline Federation.
The distance that they had chosen to situate themselves was good for Master-level combat, but it wasn't good for Sage-level combat. Although he knew that the Esocline Federation had the most powerful infrastructure in the world and could probably take an immense amount of punishment, it was not wise to continue the battle this close to the country.
And yet, the inhuman humanoid entity simply smiled with a maniacal smile as a single remark escaped it.
"No."
The Martial Masters widened their eyes with shock as the inhuman entity spoke its first words in the international dialect.
The first of many more to come.
It had learned words of their language just by virtue of observing them speak for a while.
"This…" the inhuman entity carefully enunciated. "Land…"
Its smile widened.
"…Ours."
Chills crawled across the skin of the people who gazed at the inhuman humanoid entity with horrific fear.
Sir Armstrong's elderly eyes grew severe.
"Then you leave me no choice."
RUMBLE!!!
In the blink of an eye, the Gatekeeper surged as he charged at the inhuman humanoid entity with tremendous speed and terrifying momentum.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Much to the surprise of the Gatekeeper, the humanoid mechanical entity didn't even defend as the Gatekeeper charged it with a heavy impact, cleanly landing on its torso. His eyes flared with determination as he charged the alien humanoid entity away from the Esocline Federation and deeper into the Great Nam Ocean, taking him far away to see.
It was only when they were hundreds of kilometers away from the Esocline Federation did the Gatekeeper deem it fit.
RUMBLE!!!!!
His body glowed with power.
It glowed with unfathomable power as the very fabric of heaven and earth shook under the weight of his extraordinary being.
"Now, it is time to pay the price for what you have done."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
His fist crashed into the tremendous body of the mechanical humanoid entity as the impact struck the white flesh of the Martial Sage, crashing into the tough mechanical components of the cyborg humanoid entity with great momentum.
The cyborg entity's body crumpled inwardly as the sheer impact of the Gatekeeper's attacks seemed to ravage the cyborg entity.
And yet, he was just getting started.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOM!!!
The Gatekeeper's fists blurred as they flew back and forth, impacting the entity's abdomen with extraordinary force in rapid succession.
Each attack, short and brisk as it was, was powered by tremendous torque as his body uncoiled like a spring to propel arms forward with great power. The esoteric substances in his body glowed with power as they worked their best, enhancing the durability, power, and speed of his body.
The alien entity was routed by the sheer onslaught of attacks that the Gatekeeper unleashed upon it with tremendous power. Each fist blasted it away without any resistance, almost like the entity was a loose puppet, flinging it away effortlessly. The Gatkeeeper's eyes flared with certainty and confidence as he continued unloading endless attacks upon the strange entity.
With each attack, he tried pouring more and more materia prima into them as he began getting used to the source of energy that emerged from the very root of his being. Unlike Rui, who had managed to adaptively evolve to learning how to use materia prima in hyper sophisticated techniques thanks to the Forge of Creation, the Gatekeeper was nowhere near as flexible.
He didn't throw straight punches armed with materia prima because he didn't know how to throw any other attack, he did it because learning to add materia prima to each attack took time and he couldn't afford to go through the whole exploration process in the middle of the battle against the mechanical humanoid entity.
His immediate goal was to destroy the entity and capture its ship.
At the very least, he needed to ensure that no harm came to the Esocline Federation, for it was too important to human civilization despite being the weakest Sage-level nation in the entire world.
"I will not allow you to take over our land," the Gatekeeper growled. "I will not allow you to take over human civilization."
He knew that he was the only Martial Sage available for humanity at the moment.
He knew that he was the last line of defense.
He had no intention of failing.
