The Master Programmer-Chapter 75: You Have No Idea Who I Am… 2
Actually there was more to it than that. What Jason wanted to do was to introduce himself to the boss. And to do that he needed to cause some trouble, and take revenge for these idiots.
They were idiots but he hoped that they would give him something to work with. After all, they were somewhat useful for him, and that was for the fact that he needed some guys at the bottom who did things for him. He hoped to turn them into subordinates.
Seeing the flashing blue thing that had shown itself in front of him, Jason smirked.

Veronica was… going down. But luckily, Emily’s mission was showing progress. She must have tried to push back against the father. Or maybe she was fantasizing something about Jason. Women were weird.
Looking at the last Mission, Jason sighed. He needed to speed this up, even by a little bit. Thes eidiots were difficult to deal with though... He turned and began walking, the other men scrambling to their feet to follow. Marcus hesitated for a moment, watching Jason’s back.
There was something about him, something terrifyingly magnetic. He didn’t just command respect; he demanded loyalty. Marcus found himself falling in step behind him, his fear mingling with a strange, begrudging admiration.
As they moved through the city, Jason’s mind churned. The Snake Gang was powerful, yes, but power didn’t make them invincible. Everyone had a weakness. And Jason was very, very good at finding them.
After all, he was about to find a weakness in these idiots.
Jason turned to them, seeing them follow him quietly. He then turned to the side road, a darkened area that was different from anything else. It was late now, completely quiet on the roads, and when they walked around, they couldn’t nelp but look around even while being thugs, they still needed to be safe, after all, they were thugs too.
"Are you guys afraid of the dark? Like really?"
"No.. it’s just. We were blindfolded, but it sounded like there were a lot of people. Women too. They were laughing. And they kept us hungry and thirsty. It’s not a good feeling," said Marek, his voice shaky, not because of the cold.
"Yeah, we don’t really want to go back," Marek said to the side, looking around as if this was some kind of scary movie, and some guy with a knife wuld pull up and stab them from the back.
"Can you go alone? We really don’t..." Marcus was about to say. But Jason interrupted him.
"Shut up!" Jason said with a smirk on his face, turning to them. Seeing that evil look in his eyes, the three kept quiet, and Jason turned back to the front. He began.
"You know, fear is a funny thing. It is both something that tells us to run away, but also something that forces us to control the world with our all. In life there are only two drives. Pain and Pleasure. We run from pain.. We run towards pleasure. So now I want to ask you something. When you think of me, what do you think? Pain or pleasure?"
Marcus gulped, but before he could answer, Jason continued speaking. "I’ll give you something to think about. And then you idiots will understand just what you’re going against."
"Imagine, if you will, a world where fear is not just an emotion, but a living, breathing entity. A force so powerful, it can bend the will of the strongest among us. Let that image sink in. Feel the cold sweat trickle down your spine as you consider the gravity of what I’m about to say."
Jason paused for a moment to allow the scene to take root in their minds. After it did, and as the only sound ringing in the scene being the step of his shoes. He then turned back to them, his arms going wide and his expressing dark and evil.
"Now, picture yourself standing at the edge of a cliff, so high that the ground below is nothing but a distant memory. The wind whispers secrets of your deepest, darkest moments, and the chasm beneath echoes with the screams of those who once dared to oppose me. Do you feel the fear gripping you, the paralysis creeping into your limbs?"
Their eyes widened at that moment, and Jason could see the fear starting to manifest in their posture. It was pretty interesting to see how thoughts influenced the body unconsciously. After all, the only bodily process that could be controlled was Breathing, and even that was under the control of the body.
As soon as they thought some thoughts, their hearts would start beating quickly, and then their breathing would increase, their palms would get sweating, their muscles would expand, ready to take on the rush of blood, and their bodies would twitch in preparation for sudden movements.
He was making them evision something, even while they stood there. They would imagine it that ebyss with everyone who dared to stand against him, and they would be frightened beyond anything in their lives.
Jason continued, "Your heart races, pounding in your chest like a wild animal desperate to break free. Each beat resonates with the pulse of dread that now controls you. Your breaths come in shallow gasps, as if the very air itself is thick with terror."
Jason stopped and banged his foot on the floor, making the birds in the trees start flying off, and when they did, he smiled, not because of the birds, but because thes three had flinched.
Jason smiled evily, as he continued stepping backwards. "Now, let me paint a more vivid picture. You’re not alone at this cliff’s edge. There’s something there, a shadowy figure, just beyond the reach of your vision. It’s watching you, studying you, waiting for the precise moment when your fear is at its peak. Do you know what this figure says to you?"
Jasons voice dropped to a low menacing whisper as even his gaze looked at the men. "It says: This is the fear that I embody. It’s the fear that keeps you from speaking against me. It’s the fear that makes you doubt your own strength and conviction. It’s the fear that turns allies into enemies, and enemies into obedient servants."
Jason raised your hand, and it felt like everything immediately became colder.
"Feel the icy chill of my gaze upon you, a gaze that can pierce the darkest recesses of your soul. When you look into my eyes, you’ll see the abyss that awaits those who dare to Cross me. It’s a place where hope is a forgotten whisper, and the only sound is the endless wailing of those who have suffered the consequences of their disobedience."
The three looked at Jason, their eyes flashing with some discomfort that was hanging over them in such a heavy fashion that it was pretty intense for them.
"Every time you think of going against me, let this fear envelop you like a shroud. Picture the cliff, the shadow, the unyielding drop into nothingness. Hear the whispers of your past mistakes, echoing through the cavernous space of your doubt. Thats what the shadow said... So terrifying, am I right?"
"But remember, this fear is not just an illusion. It is a promise. A promise that should you choose to defy me, you will not find refuge or redemption. You will only find the cold embrace of the void that I control. So, stand before me, trembling, if you must. But do so knowing that your fear is not a weakness, but a testament to the power I wield, a power that will never be challenged without severe and lasting consequences."
Jason leaned in to them, making Marcus fall to the floor, as he stepped back.
"Let this fear be your guide, a constant reminder of the fate that awaits the disloyal. Now, go forth, and never forget the terror that lies in the shadow of my gaze. For it is fear that will keep you in line, fear that will ensure my dominion remains uncontested."
Jason was the shadow now. he was the vision of the thing they didnt want to see no matter what. He had become that thing at the cliffs edge that pushed people to the abyss. Even without them knowing it. Now that the idea was in there, he had to reinforce it.
Jason then laughed. "You know what the man standing at the edge of the cliff did after hearing these words? I don’t either. I guess we’ll find out." Jason turned back around, walking even faster than before. "Let’s go, losers!"
They stood up and followed him, their stance even lower than before, although they themselves did not notice it in themselves. The group approached the docks, the salty tang of the sea growing stronger with each step.
The night was alive with the sounds of lapping waves and distant ship horns. Jason’s sharp eyes scanned the area, noting the shadows that moved too deliberately to be natural. They were being watched.
"Stay close," he murmured, his voice barely audible but carrying an undeniable authority. The men obeyed without question. What choice did they have. There was darkness all around them and there was a cliff in the distance too. Who knew if they might see the shadow!
As they ventured deeper into the maze of shipping containers, a figure stepped into their path. She was tall and striking, her silhouette framed by the glow of a nearby floodlight. Her leather outfit clung to her curves, accentuating her toned physique, and her crimson lips curled into a predatory smile.
"Well, well," she purred, her voice silky yet dangerous. "Jason. I’ve heard so much about you."
Jason’s eyes narrowed. "Funny. I can’t say the same about you."
Her laughter was a low, throaty sound. "You’ve got guts. I’ll give you that." She stepped closer, her hips swaying with every step. "But do you have brains? Walking into Snake territory like this… bold, but not very smart."
Jason smirked, his stance relaxed but ready. "Bold is smart when you’ve got nothing to lose. Let’s drop the small talk. Take me to your leader. I’m sure he wants to see me." He let the words hang in the air, watching as they unsettled her confidence just slightly.
Her smile faltered for a fraction of a second before she recovered. "You’ve made a mistake coming here."
Jason took a step forward, his voice dropping to that hypnotic, commanding tone. "No, you’ve made a mistake. You came after my people. And now, I’m here to collect."
The woman’s eyes flickered with uncertainty, and for the first time, Jason saw a crack in her armor. He smiled, cold and calculating. The men who stood behind her on the other hand, looked at Jason like he was a dead man. But Jason was unperturbed.
This was just the beginning.
