The Mightiest Little Master of Metaphysics-Chapter 9: Taken to the Hospital for a Brain Examination
Chapter 9 - 9: Taken to the Hospital for a Brain Examination
Yun Qiuce stepped forward and gave the driver a slap on the back of the head, pushing him aside. "Hello, we didn't park on purpose. The car broke down and suddenly stopped. The fog was thick just now, and we don't know what happened."
The traffic cop, bewildered by the driver, asked, "Then what about him?"
"He got scared and confused, saw an illusion?"
"Saw an illusion? Drinking? You dared to drink on the highway?"
"No, no, he's our driver. This is my ID card. We definitely didn't drink. Officer, we're cooperating with the investigation..."
Yun Qiuce, being from the Xuan Sect, knew how to handle such bizarre incidents.
The traffic cop was quite satisfied with his attitude. One of the cops circled the car twice, observing the front hood, which was completely dented, and then looked around.
On one side of the highway was a mountain road enclosed with a fence, secured with wire, looking very sturdy.
"Uncle, did a big rock roll down from up there and hit our car with a bang? It startled me."
A sweet, soft voice made the traffic cop look down in surprise, seeing a little girl in a floral dress, looking sweet and obedient. He smiled and crouched down.
"Don't be afraid, little one. It's likely a rock rolled down. Uncle will take you back."
Initially skeptical, but since the little cutie said so, it must have been the rock that fell and hit the car.
"Preliminary assessment is that a rock rolled down and hit the car. Fortunately, no one was injured. Contact their family, call a tow truck..."
Having arranged everything, he picked up Yun Qi, and called Yun Qiuce and the driver over. "Regardless of what happened, did you forget the highway emergency procedures? Such an obedient and cute little girl, what if she got scared?"
The driver said with a serious face, "Boss, don't let her fool you. She's really amazing, she can even hunt ghosts..."
The traffic cop remained silent for a moment and then told a colleague beside him, "Take this guy for a brain check at the hospital later!"

The next morning, Yun Qiuce and the driver, unshaven with bloodshot eyes, carried the yawning Yun Qi back to the Yun Family home.
Mr. Yun, leaning on a cane and dressed in a tang suit embroidered with cloud patterns, paced back and forth in the living room.
Yun Qi opened her mouth wide and let out a slow, long yawn.
As soon as she yawned, everyone in the room felt the urge to yawn but suppressed it hard to maintain composure.
Yun Qiuce and the driver, however, had no such concerns and yawned along.
"What happened? Did you have a car accident?" Mr. Yun asked in a deep voice.
Yun Qiuce yawned so much that tears came out, and he replied wearily, "Dad, let me tell you, you wouldn't believe what happened. I'll tell you in detail later."
The Xuan Sect didn't shy away from such matters, but all he wanted now was to sleep.
Old Master Yun merely gave a noncommittal grunt, and his gaze fell on Yun Qi.

No matter how amazing a child is, they can't resist sleep. Yun Qi was in Yun Qiuce's arms, sleepy-eyed, with her little head nodding like a pecking chick.
A brief warmth broke through Old Master Yun's stern and solemn face—the family hadn't had such a cute little child in a long time.
The other grandchildren had grown up and no longer snuggled on his knee for comfort.
Thinking this, Old Master Yun put his cane aside, rubbed his hands together, and reached out expectantly, his voice low and authoritative, "Let me hold her!"
It had been a long time since he held a child, and with so many people present, he momentarily set aside his patriarchal demeanor.
Yun Qiuce immediately teased, "Dad, look at you, you'll scare people again..."
Before he could finish, he felt Little Dumpling stretching out her little hand with a swoosh—wanting a hug.
