Chapter 85 - 084: It was just a matter of breaking her arm.

"Did you hit her?" Recalling the scene in the classroom earlier with how she handled those people, Lu Li asked instinctively.

"No, I didn't."

Lu Li was about to let out a sigh of relief, but then he heard her continue, "I just twisted her hand, that's all."

Yu Zhi's tone was calm and composed, as if twisting a wrist was simply an everyday occurrence to her, something not worth mentioning.

Lu Li: "..."

He cleared his throat awkwardly, the worry in his eyes faintly visible. "Aren't you afraid she'll complain to her family?"

After all, the one who got beaten up this time was her older sister, and given the Yu Family's attitude toward her, it probably wouldn't end easily.

Yu Zhi didn't think about it much and replied expressionlessly, "Let her do what she wants."

With that, she stepped forward, and as she crossed the threshold of the classroom door, she didn't forget to remind him, "Class is about to start."

"Alright." Lu Li curved his lips slightly, following her into the classroom.

From start to finish, Lin Chengyu, who was completely ignored: "..." Was he invisible? Did they seriously not see him?

The bell rang, and Ji Jingchen entered the classroom holding a stack of test papers.

Standing on the podium, he scanned the room and frowned slightly upon noticing that the seats in Yu Zhi's row had been moved almost all the way to the trash can.

Ji Jingchen asked the class monitor to distribute the test papers and then slowly walked to the last row. "What's going on here?"

"Teacher Ji, it's them—"

Qin Huai hadn't even finished speaking when she caught someone's warning gaze from beside her, forcing her to swallow the rest of her words.

Yu Zhi tilted her head upward, sitting properly with an air of innocence. "Nothing. We just wanted to sit in the back."

"Hmm. If there's anything you can't handle, remember to come to my office promptly." Ji Jingchen glanced at her twice, not quite sure whether he believed her, but he didn't press further.

As soon as he left, Qin Huai scooted closer, whispering, "Why didn't you let me tell Teacher Ji just now?"

"Did you not notice how the people in the front rows had their ears perked up?" Yu Zhi propped her chin up with one hand, smirking as she glanced at the students in front who kept sneakily turning their heads back toward them.

"But I was telling the truth!" Qin Huai grumbled in frustration, even shooting a glare at one of the students she happened to make eye contact with.

A flicker of amusement flashed in Yu Zhi's eyes as she patted Qin Huai's shoulder. "Don't get worked up. Just ignore them."

After the incident in the restroom, Yu Zhi was actually quite worried about Qin Huai getting bullied again.

If trying to stand up for her earned grudges from those people that led to another episode of bullying out of her sight, Yu Zhi would feel terribly guilty.

Qin Huai bit the end of her pen and muttered reluctantly, "Alright then."

Gradually, the test papers were passed forward row by row. By the time they reached their row, the distance between desks was too far apart, and with Ji Jingchen watching from the podium, the students in the front had no choice but to reluctantly stand up and hand them over.

Yu Zhi stared at the densely packed words on the test paper, feeling her brain throb.

She quickly wrote down her name and hurried through the multiple-choice questions. Then, she glanced to her side—Qin Huai was fully engrossed in writing and hadn't noticed her gaze.

Sighing softly, Yu Zhi stared at the test paper blankly for a moment. Suddenly, a flash of inspiration lit up in her mind, and her light brown eyes gleamed brightly.

Sitting upright, she discreetly slid her left hand under her desk to fish out her phone from her bag and snapped a picture, sending it to someone.

Little Greedy Demon: [Image][Image]

Little Greedy Demon: Help me solve these.

In the CEO's office, Shi Wei, swamped with work, immediately put down his files as soon as he saw his screen flash. He clicked on the message.

He smiled lightly, his fingers tapping swiftly on the keyboard. "Which questions are giving you trouble?"

Just as he was about to hit send, he took another careful look at the images she had sent, replaced his reply with, "Are you taking an exam? Do it yourself. Good girl."

Little Greedy Demon: I don't know how to do them. Help me, please.

Little Greedy Demon: [Frustrated][Upset]

Seeing the two emojis she sent, Shi Wei couldn't help but laugh aloud.

Resting his hands on the desk, his deep eyes shimmered faintly. "Nope. Finish it yourself and you'll get a reward."

Shi Wei mimicked her style and sent an emoji of two little figures hugging. He held his phone for a while, waiting for her reply, but nothing came.

Raising an eyebrow, Shi Wei put his phone aside, but the screen lit up again.

Little Greedy Demon: What reward?

Shi Wei thought for a moment and decided to leave some mystery. "You'll find out tonight."

Yu Zhi carefully typed out her reply, and when she saw his message, her heart felt as if it were being tickled by a cat—itching with curiosity.

She sent back an "Okay" and began focusing on her test for the sake of the mysterious reward, even though she had no control over whether her answers were correct or not.

"Little Zhi, are you done yet?" Qin Huai handed in her test and shook her slightly sore right hand.

"Yep. What about you?"

"Of course I'm done too." She peeked into Yu Zhi's desk and then, with a gossiping tone, asked, "Who were you chatting with just now?"

"Boyfriend."

"Oh, boyfriend."

Only after saying it did Qin Huai suddenly realize. "Wait, did you say boyfriend?"

She covered her mouth, looking utterly shocked.

Yu Zhi nodded. "Is there a problem?"

"Wh-when did this happen?"

Qin Huai remembered asking her just last week if there was someone she liked. Yet now, in such a short time, she had skipped over liking someone and went straight to being in a relationship.

"Yesterday."

"Yesterday?!"

Suppressing her astonishment, Qin Huai's curiosity was bubbling over. "Is he from our school?"

"No." Yu Zhi replied casually, while opening a matching-puzzle game.

"Is he working already? Is he reliable? Does he treat you well?"

"..."

Though Qin Huai had never been in a relationship, that didn't mean she didn't dream of experiencing a sweet romance someday.

She had endless questions, and thankfully Yu Zhi patiently answered each one.

After getting a rough idea, Qin Huai glanced at Lu Li nearby and nudged Yu Zhi with her elbow. "Does Lu Li know?"

"Why would that have anything to do with him?" Yu Zhi didn't even look up, entirely absorbed in her mobile game.

Qin Huai blinked several times. "You can't possibly not see that he likes you, right?"

Yu Zhi: "..."

Her fingers paused for two seconds before she finished her round and turned off the screen.

Leaning back against the white wall, her gaze swept lightly toward Lu Li. "I don't see it." The only person who made her feel "liked" was Shi Wei.

"But he's been pretty obvious. I've never seen him buy breakfast, bring water, or hand tissues to any other girl before."
