The Pregnant Treasured Little Wife: Master Lancaster's Nightly Coaxing-Chapter 148: Seaside
Elias Lancaster didn’t look at her, "I had a meeting last night that ended too late. I was afraid of disturbing you, so I slept in the guest room."
"Oh."
She thought, that’s why the bed felt cold.
She saw Elias Lancaster off, watching him get into the car and drive out of Norris Gardens.
Returning to her room, she changed clothes, went to school, and in the afternoon, headed to the studio.
As soon as she arrived at the studio, she saw her colleague Mia crying.
After asking, she found out that Mia’s husband had cheated on her and wanted a divorce, but her mother-in-law insisted she leave the child behind.
A week had passed, and Elias Lancaster had not returned from his business trip.
In the evening, Serena Keaton returned home and called Elias Lancaster.
He answered quickly, his voice gentle.
"Baby."
"Elias, are you busy?"
Elias Lancaster said, "Not busy now, what’s up?"
"I want to talk to you about Mia from our studio..."
Serena Keaton recounted the situation.
"I know I shouldn’t meddle in other people’s affairs, but her husband is such a jerk, and that mother-in-law is so wicked."
Elias Lancaster listened patiently.
Serena Keaton felt Mia’s grievances but also lacked a sense of security herself.
"Elias, you wouldn’t be like Mia’s husband and have another woman outside, would you?"
You can’t blame her for thinking this way; Elias Lancaster had been acting too strangely these past few days.
Elias Lancaster held the phone with no expression on his face.
"Serena, I only love you."
"Elias, when will you come back? I miss you."
"I miss you too."
The words "I miss you too" made Serena Keaton feel as if she’d tasted something as sweet as honey.
She smiled like a fool, eyes bending into crescent shapes.
"When will you come back?"
"As soon as possible."
He replied casually.
"When you come back, if I’m at school, come pick me up."
"Okay."
"Elias, what are you doing right now?"
She had nothing else to say but didn’t want to hang up.
Listening to him talk was also a kind of enjoyment.
"I’m reviewing a proposal."
Serena Keaton rolled around on the bed.
"I don’t want to disturb you, but I just want to hear you speak. Elias, I miss you so much."
Elias Lancaster took a deep breath, "Then I’ll come back tomorrow."
"No need, no need, work is important. I’ll hang up first."
"Baby, take care of yourself. I’ll bring gifts for you and the babies when I come back."
He knew he was at fault, unforgivable.
He shouldn’t have avoided this; he should make amends with time.
He shouldn’t have left her to let her imagination run wild at home alone.
After Serena Keaton hung up, she, feeling bored, chatted with Nathan Sawyer on her phone.
Unconsciously, she fell asleep.
The next day, she groggily opened her eyes and saw the man sitting at the edge of the bed.
She rubbed her eyes in surprise.
"Elias, you’re back!"
Serena Keaton jumped up and hugged him tightly.
"Mm." Elias Lancaster hugged her, burying his head in her shoulder.
After freshening up, they had breakfast.
There were no classes at the school today, so Elias Lancaster drove Serena Keaton to the studio.
Sitting in her office, Elias Lancaster finished handling his affairs and looked at the busy figure at the desk.
He suddenly felt his baby had grown up; she was mesmerizing when she worked seriously.
His thoughts wandered back to when he first met his baby.
Back then, Serena was so insecure and uneasy.
But now, Serena is so confident.
Yet he felt a subtle sadness in her, which he knew was because of him. His heart was full of guilt and remorse.
They settled lunch in the studio, and Elias Lancaster had a seafood feast arranged for everyone in the studio.
Everyone was very happy.
After lunch, Elias Lancaster took Serena Keaton away.
Looking at the unfamiliar road.
"Elias, aren’t we going home? I want to see the babies."
"Mm, no rush, I’ll take you out for a little break."
Two hours later, they reached their destination.
Elias Lancaster looked at the sleeping Serena Keaton beside him, his eyes full of affection.
He reached out and gently caressed her cheek; how great it would be if that hadn’t happened.
His eyes darkened.
"Elias, where are we?"
Serena Keaton opened her eyes and looked outside.
"We’re by the sea. I never took you to the beach to play. It’s the weekend tomorrow; I’ll bring you here for two days."
Elias Lancaster said.
"Really?" Serena Keaton’s clear eyes lit up, "But... will it interfere with your work?"
"It won’t." Elias Lancaster patted her head.
"Mm~"
After getting out of the car.
Elias Lancaster held her hand in one hand and carried a small luggage bag in the other as they walked toward the beach hotel.
The two had a great time at the beach.
Living in their own world, watching the sunrise and sunset together,.
Elias Lancaster came over with a coat, draped it over her shoulders, stood beside her, and embraced her waist, watching the distant sunset.
It was beautiful.
Both had forgotten their previous unhappiness, putting aside all worries, enjoying the beauty and tranquility.
"Elias, no matter what happens in the future, don’t push me away, will you? Let’s never separate in this life, okay?"
Serena Keaton gazed into the distance and whispered.
Elias Lancaster didn’t speak, just nodded, his hand around her waist tightened.
On Sunday evening, around five, Elias Lancaster walked into the villa hand in hand with Serena Keaton.
As soon as they entered, they saw Willow Scott sitting in the living room.
Elias Lancaster’s expression changed immediately.
Seeing Willow Scott, Serena Keaton didn’t understand why she was there.
She didn’t want this job previously, so why was she here now?
Serena Keaton didn’t notice the unusual demeanor of the man beside her, she just asked sternly.
"What are you doing here?"
Willow Scott stood up and bowed.
"Miss Keaton, I’m here to apologize to you. About the other day, my attitude was wrong. Please don’t hold it against me, be magnanimous."
Saying these words, Willow Scott felt guilty and didn’t dare to look up, fearing the man’s gaze.
But she needed money to leave here; as long as she got it, she’d leave and never return.
"I understand, but don’t come here again."
Serena Keaton said coldly.
For some reason, she just felt uncomfortable seeing this maid.
She didn’t care about the man beside her, she went directly upstairs back to her room.
Watching his beloved go upstairs, Elias Lancaster, expression gloomy, took out his phone, ready to call someone to deal with Willow Scott.
Willow Scott frantically shouted.
"Young Master Lancaster, I know I shouldn’t have come to you." Willow Scott started to cry, "But... but I really have no choice, I’m pregnant.
I had already gone back to my hometown, but my period didn’t come. When my mom told me it hadn’t, I went for a check-up.
If my family finds out I’m pregnant, they’ll kill me. I have no choice but to come to you."
Willow Scott said as she quickly pulled a piece of paper from her pocket, handing it to Elias Lancaster.
Elias Lancaster looked at the examination report, feeling like the world had collapsed around him.
How could it be possible that she’s pregnant?
The Lancaster Family rarely has offspring, how could it happen in one go?
But then...
But his baby also conceived in one go, and with twins.
He coldly said, "Come out."
