The Reincarnator's Inauspicious Route to Finding Love-Chapter 55: What?! (1)
"Adrien." The soft voice was accentuated by a kiss pressed into his ear. Adrien kept his eyes closed and buried deeper into the warmth in front of him. "Kitten." A kiss was pressed onto his temple this time.
"Whut’s wif all the kisses?" Adrien mumbled sleepily, his eyes still closed. His tired voice adorably mispronounced a few words, causing Mikyle to break out into a toothless smile.
"Hmm? I find I quite enjoy kissing you." Mikyle’s hand moved down lower, sliding across Adrien’s lower back until it cupped his ass.
Adrien’s eyes cracked open with an angry glare, which only made Mikyle chuckle and press a kiss on his forehead.
"You’re going to be the death of me," Adrien grumbled, ignoring the soft feeling that was making his heart flutter.
"Hmm. That doesn’t sound so bad, being tightly squeezed by you as you mewl and gasp in-" Adrien cupped his hands on Mikyle’s mouth to keep him from talking. It had been a long weekend that had been both mentally and physically draining and Adrien wasn’t sure if he could put up with Mikyle’s antics so early in the morning.
Mikyle brought a hand up and placed it over top of Adrien’s hand, capturing it in place. At the same time, his tongue slid across Adrien’s inner wrist and palm. Those red orbs of his were trained on Adrien with an intense burning passion that had Adrien’s mouth feeling hot and dry.
"What are you doing?!" Adrien gasped, feeling slightly disoriented. He was struck with a sense of discordance once again. Mikyle, who had always kept a rather stoic openness in his demeanor, had become even more open, both with physical touch and with his words.
"Hmm? I’m offering sweet temptation and a pleasurable time." His cocky voice rumbled in the low octave range while dripping with confidence.
Adrien managed to pull his hand away, his face red and his body feeling warm. "We have classes today," Adrien argued as he pulled himself away from the prince. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat up. The air in the room felt cold as it nipped at his bare skin which was slightly flushed. He had been too tired after their festivities to put on a shirt before falling asleep, but he was glad that he had enough willpower to have at least put on a pair of sleep pants before completely drifting off.
Adrien stood up with a shiver, thoughts of getting dressed for his morning jog flashing across his mind. He felt eyes on him as he made his way across the room.
"Hmm," Mikyle hummed, pleased with the sight before him.
Adrien turned to look at him. The slightly narrowed gaze that he was wearing dropped at the sight before him. Mikyle, who was still lying down on his side, had removed the blanket that had been covering him. His head was propped up on his hand and his eyes were trained on Adrien with open lust.
A blush covered Adrien’s cheeks and his mouth was starting to salivate at the feast lying so openly before him. He turned his gaze away, unable to bear the intensity of Mikyle’s own gaze. He was starting to hate the fact that he had turned into a hormonal teenager once again. . .though in truth, he had barely even been considered an adult in his last life.
"Like what you see?"
Adrien decided to ignore him. He opened up the wardrobe and grabbed a comfortable outfit to wear. His ears were still burning red as he pushed away the indecent thoughts that had come to mind from the sight of Mikyle’s large, firm, and very naked body. . .one that had been covered in bites and fading scratch marks.
The rustling coming from behind him alerted him to Mikyle’s movements. He peeked out from underneath his lashes and watched as Mikyle got out of bed with a languid stretch. Although Mikyle mainly sported a laid-back personality and always acted comfortably around him, somehow, the prince seemed even more relaxed than normal.
I guess sharing his secret lifted a heavy burden off his shoulders. Adrien pulled the shirt he had grabbed over his head, his thoughts lingering on the conversation that they had the night before.
"Are you joining me?" Adrien asked when he saw Mikyle glide over to the wardrobe.
"Of course," Mikyle answered, flashing him a languid smirk that had Adrien biting his lower lip.
Mikyle opened the wardrobe and pulled out an unfamiliar outfit. Adrien stared at it for a moment. His earlier thoughts that left him feeling dreary and even his most recent thoughts of skipping his early morning training left his head as confusion swept over him.
"When did you put that in there?" The outfit Mikyle was holding was much larger in size then Adrien’s own clothes and was made with finer material which marked it as belonging to the prince. But that wasn’t what left Adrien feeling confused. He had just opened the wardrobe earlier and hadn’t seen that particular outfit in there, nor had he seen Mikyle bring over any spare clothes to be placed in there during the weekend.
"Oh? I brought a couple changes worth of clothes and placed them in there when I brought the condoms."
Adrien stared at Mikyle with his mouth agape. He was starting to think that he should pay more attention to his surroundings, or at least keep a closer eye on Mikyle. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He’ll wind up moving in here without me being none the wiser if I let him. But seriously, when did he do this?
. . . .
Nathaniel made his way down to the carriage just in time to see Lianna getting ready to board it. "Lianna." He called out fondly as he offered her his hand.
"Thank you, your highness."
His smile faltered as he became displeased with the way she called him. He understood that they were out in public and that others were around, but that did not mean he liked hearing her address him so formally. "Lia," he whined once they were in the carriage, "you don’t have to be formal with me. I hate when you and my brothers think you have to act differently in the presence of others."
Lianna simply chuckled, bearing Nathaniel’s weight as he leaned against her. She brought her hand up and smoothed away a few pieces of his hair that had come loose. "If we don’t hold up decorum and wind up speaking informally in front of others, you will continue to act as you do in private without a care of wandering eyes."
Nathaniel leaned into her touch and did not refute her words. He was close to his brothers even if Lior kept his distance and Mikyle hid things from him, so it felt wrong when they treated him like he was above them. And Lianna was the love of his life, his equal, so he felt uncomfortable and dissatisfied when he could not shower her with his love in front of everyone.
He tried that once, kissing her in a crowded ballroom, and all that got him was the silent treatment for an entire day. He was glad that the punishment had only lasted for a day instead of the week that Lia had originally planned.
"Did the meetings go well?"
"Yeah. I can finally feel content now that everything has settled, at least until the next problem arises." He had spent the entire day locked up in a room with his father and the other Council Members reviewing the crimes of Marquis Arden and his associates.
"It’s been a week since you last attended classes," Lianna commented softly.
Nathaniel loved this side of Lianna. Well. . .he loved every version of her that he had seen so far. Her strong and willful nature when facing bullies, her studious nature and dedication when practicing her Mana Control, her soft and caring side when she was with him and his family, and her more lewd and lovely side when the two of them were alone.
"It has been. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the time to hear about the latest gossip." Gossip was everything. Whether it held truth or not to it, gossip could shed some light onto the happenings of society and inform one of who to get close to and who to avoid.
The hand in his hair stiffened for a second. "You will be surprised when you learn what has been the latest topic of discussion among our peers." Nathaniel heard the smile in her voice and knew that whatever it was that it was good news.
"Will you tell me now, or are you going to make me wait?" He raised up from his spot and looked at her. Her eyes were shining with amusement and her lips were curled up in a smile.
"I believe this is something you should wait for," was Lianna’s answer. "Besides, you won’t believe it unless you see it for yourself."
Her words had Nathaniel leaning back into his seat as curiosity filled him. What in the world could it be that he would need physical proof first before he were to believe it?
