The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 195 - 192: Is the Red Wine Good?
Dozens of eyes converged on Qin Fan as he walked in from the door, incredulity written on all their faces.
Suddenly, a cold snort shattered the silence. "I don’t know how you got security to let you in, but I hope you understand one thing: a person should know their place. Just like a dog knows where it can go and where it must stop! Qin Fan, scram. This is not a place for you. Go back to your poor hovel in that urban village. This place isn’t for you, so don’t let your stench tarnish its noble atmosphere!"
Swirling the wine in his glass, Qin Feng, dressed in silk loungewear and loafers, walked right up to Qin Fan. Amidst the collective shock at Qin Fan’s arrival, he chose to be the one to make a scene. Or perhaps, he was simply used to flaunting himself in front of Qin Fan this way.
"Is the wine good?" Qin Fan asked with a slight smile, his hands in his pockets as he stared straight at the Qin Family’s young master.
At his remark, everyone froze, wondering if this trash had lost his mind. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Qin Feng, who had come straight to Triumph Palace from the airport without even returning to the Qin estate, was even more baffled. It’s only been a year, and Qin Fan dares to talk back to me? Wasn’t he supposed to be cowering, head down and avoiding eye contact? Why has the script changed?
"What did you say?" Qin Feng asked, cocking his head.
"I asked if the wine was good," Qin Fan repeated.
"Well, now. It’s only been a year and you’ve grown a backbone? Even your gaze has become steely? Qin Fan, did you eat shit for courage?" Qin Feng sneered, narrowing his eyes and swirling the last of the wine in his glass.
The entire hall erupted in laughter at Qin Feng’s words. If such vulgar words had been uttered by a commoner, these self-proclaimed elites would have shot them a look of utter disdain. But coming from Young Master Qin, most felt the description was quite apt.
In the crowd, Xu Jiayi furrowed her brows. For some time now, she had been observing Qin Fan with a wait-and-see attitude. Is he truly a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Does he have some hidden backing that gives him the audacity to act so brazenly? I need to weigh whether he is worth getting close to. Wanting to remain unnoticed, she instinctively took a few steps back, positioning herself at an angle where Qin Fan would not easily see her.
"Young Master Qin, is that really necessary? There’s no honor in bullying this kid. Don’t tell me that after a year overseas, you’ve become this tacky, ha!" Amidst the laughter, before Qin Fan could even react, several young men walked in from the entrance, laughing. The one in the lead pointed at Qin Feng as he spoke.
At the young man’s arrival, everyone at the party greeted him with smiles and choruses of, "Young Master Wang!"
In Jiangzhou, the Ye Family was revered, with the Qin Family right behind them. However, no one dared to disrespect the Wang family. Despite not being a formal clan and operating solely in the business world, they commanded respect throughout Jiangzhou. This was especially true for this Young Master Wang. Aside from the core members of the Ye Family, perhaps not even the Qin Family dared to provoke this Venerable Divine. The reason was simple: his maternal grandfather was a newly retired big shot from Four-nine City. With that kind of backing, everyone in Jiangzhou City had to think twice about whether they could afford to offend him.
"Young Master Wang, what nonsense are you spouting! A piece of trash, worth my time to bully? I just can’t stand seeing a fly buzzing around this perfectly fine party! Besides, this failure carries the name of a discarded Qin wherever he goes. Even though the sharp-eyed old man has publicly cast out that whole bastard family, they still refuse to change their surname! The very thought that he still bears the Qin family name makes me sick!" Qin Feng said with a smile before sipping his wine.
Wang Tianyu just shook his head with a light laugh. Ignoring Qin Feng, he slowly walked over to Qin Fan and patted him on the shoulder. "Kid, go home. Don’t go looking for trouble, this isn’t the place for you. Forcing yourself to stay will only make you miserable. Take my advice and go home now."
CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.
Suddenly, the sharp sound of clapping cut through the air. The people in the banquet hall looked toward the entrance and were stunned yet again. Who is this guy? What’s an outsider like him doing at a gathering for the Jiangzhou circle?
"Young Master Wang, since when did you learn to lecture people? You’re quite eloquent, aren’t you! Don’t tell me a trip to Four-nine City enlightened you!" Ma Yunbin walked in, clapping his hands lazily, his tone dripping with disdainful mockery.
Seeing Ma Yunbin, Wang Tianyu’s expression subtly shifted. But, as if deeply influenced by the cunning and smooth ways of the older generation in Four-nine City, he perfectly masked the change and smiled. "Brother Ma, was I wrong?"
"Don’t call me ’Brother’! I don’t take on pretentious lackeys like you. Listen to me, just go back to whatever you were doing. The tricks you’re playing are old news, long discarded by the dandies of Four-nine City! You think I don’t know what you’re plotting? You just want those short-sighted morons to worship your fake, bullshit persona, don’t you? Pfft, what a damn idiot! Don’t think that hanging out with a few old geezers, fishing, and playing a few games of chess gives you the right to act so high and mighty. In the eyes of anyone who can see clearly, you’re nothing but a petty buffoon!" Ma Yunbin spoke with biting malice, completely unintimidated by the other man’s supposed background.
"Young Master Ma, I don’t believe I’ve ever offended you. Is there really a need to be so aggressive?" Wang Tianyu replied with a dry laugh, shaking his head as if unbothered by Ma Yunbin’s harsh words.
"Oh, but you have! Aren’t you the ’ethics watchdog’ of the entertainment industry? That actress you exposed a few days ago was about to become my prey. Now that you’ve outed her, how can I possibly go after her? If I did, wouldn’t I become a laughingstock for all those moronic princelings in Four-nine City? You’ve pissed me off, so isn’t that offending me?" Ma Yunbin pursed his lips and shook his head disdainfully at Wang Tianyu.
Listening to Ma Yunbin’s logic, everyone at the party was completely dumbfounded. What the hell? This is pure bullying!
"Heh, I see. In that case, Young Master Ma, are you saying I need to host an apology banquet for you?" The saying goes that even a Buddha can lose his temper. Stung by Ma Yunbin’s provocations, Wang Tianyu’s voice grew cold.
"No, no, no, don’t disgust me! I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop myself from beating the shit out of you!" Ma Yunbin waved his hand dismissively. Knowing when to stop, he strode forward with a smile. Facing the crowd of elites, he said, "What the hell are you all just standing there for? Get back to it! Isn’t this supposed to be a party? What good wine is there? Someone come show me around so I can have a taste!"
"Young Master Wang!" Qin Feng said, pausing as he watched Ma Yunbin strut past.
"It’s nothing. Let’s go." Staring at Ma Yunbin’s back, Wang Tianyu waved his hand nonchalantly. He paid Qin Fan no more mind and began to walk forward.
Nearby, Qin Shuai turned to Qin Fan with a cold look on his face and pointed a finger toward the main door. "Trash, I’ll tell you this for your own good—if you don’t want to die, get lost. This—is not a place you can be! Also, in the future, whenever I’m around, you will give me a wide berth. Don’t let me see you again!"
With a cold sneer, Qin Shuai retracted his finger and turned to walk away.
But before he could even take a step, a sharp pain suddenly flared up from his back, as if he had been struck by a heavy blow.
