The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 35 - 34: I don’t want to repeat myself a second time!
Out of consideration for Ye Jizu’s reputation and the old adage that careless talk costs lives, the fact that Qin Fan had made off with over a billion from the Mountain and Water Manor was not widely spread. As for what happened at the Tangren Clubhouse, Ye Jizu’s newly appointed successor forcefully issued a gag order.
Over the following days, Qin Fan abandoned the idea of searching for a new Spiritual Energy Source. He returned to his reclusive, shut-in lifestyle, rarely setting foot outside his home.
Behind his perpetually locked bedroom door, Qin Fan had fully mastered the Cangqiong Refining Body Decision. He had even managed to cultivate the embryonic form of the Prison Suppressing Body! Although this embryonic form couldn’t withstand rockets and missiles, ordinary knives and bullets could scarcely harm him in the slightest. This also saved him the trouble of forming a True Yuan Defense Shield.
It was just like the time at the Tangren Clubhouse when he faced Zhao Yuhao’s gunfire. While stopping the bullets in mid-air was certainly impressive, it came at the cost of a significant amount of his True Qi. Fortunately, it was just one gun and a few bullets. He figured if he were to face a true hail of gunfire, he would have been in a rather tight spot.
These few days as a shut-in had been quite fruitful, and now, his home-schooling period was finally over.
「The next morning.」
After enduring a lecture from his parents, Qin Fan left the house with a wry smile, slinging his bag over his shoulder. He didn’t take the Bentley that had been sitting idle for days. Instead, he hailed a taxi and headed straight for Qi Middle School.
"Hey, I think that loser Qin Fan’s home-schooling period is over today! You think he’ll actually show his face at school?"
"That’s hard to say. After offending the Dean, it won’t be easy for a cast-off of the Qin family to stick around Qi Middle School! If he has any sense, he won’t show up!"
"Yeah, but where did he get the balls to stand up to the Dean and even slap him? Damn, that was bold as hell!"
"Bold? If he were so bold, would he have been forced into home-schooling? If he were truly bold, he’d have wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace!"
"Haha, exactly! He tried to act cool and just made a fool of himself! If he shows up later, let’s teach him a lesson, guys!"
"Definitely!"
Just as Qin Fan stepped out of the taxi, the classroom of Senior Year, Class 7 at Qi Middle School erupted with raucous laughter and chatter. Regarding Jiangzhou’s number one loser, the discarded son of the Qin family, these scions of the rich and powerful were already plotting how they were going to step all over him.
「At the entrance of Qi Middle School.」
Under the gatekeeper’s astonished gaze, Qin Fan strode in with a carefree swagger, hands tucked nonchalantly into his pockets and his bag slung loosely over his back.
"Qin Fan, just for having the guts to slap that baldie, you have my respect!"
"Qin Fan, I’m not impressed by anyone, but damn, I’m impressed by you. That slap felt so satisfying! Don’t worry, if anyone tries to bully you again, just drop my name—Li Shao from Class 1-18! I’ve got your back!"
"Hey, show-off, life’s not going to be easy for you. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll run back home, haha!" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"Even a wild lily has its spring, and every loser has his day. Tsk, tsk. Not bad. Looks like we’re in for a good show today!"
As Qin Fan walked, a cacophony of similar comments sounded off around him. It had to be said, that slap of his did have some effect. At the very least, some people were giving him props, and one had even offered him protection. This was unthinkable before. Back then, he would have been thanking his lucky stars if they weren’t relentlessly crushing him, let alone offering to back him up.
Qin Fan paid no mind to the voices, the vast majority of which were jeers and taunts. The only sign that he’d heard them was the faint, wicked curl of his lips.
He walked on in silence. Just as he turned into the stairwell for the senior year building, a figure suddenly scurried out from the corridor.
"Idol, I’ve been waiting for so long! You’re finally here!" Ye Haoyuan, who had been lying in wait for Qin Fan, exclaimed excitedly. Fearing he might displease Qin Fan, he had even deliberately dismissed his entourage of cronies to wait for him alone.
For a typical rich heir like Ye Haoyuan, Qin Fan felt no need to be pleasant. "Spit it out. If you have nothing to say, get lost," he said in a low voice.
With that, he stepped into the corridor and headed toward Class 7.
"Idol, I want to transfer to your class so I can be there to help you with anything you need. What do you think?" Ye Haoyuan, completely unfazed by Qin Fan’s attitude, trotted after him with a shameless, sycophantic grin. He was truly putting into practice the words of the Ye family’s patriarch: don’t mind what others think!
At this display, the various young masters in the hallway who had been looking for a chance to make fun of Qin Fan froze. They were utterly dumbfounded, their faces a picture of disbelief.
What in the world is happening? One is the cast-off of the Qin family, a piece of trash that everyone can step on! The other is a third-generation member of the Lingnan Ye family, Patriarch Ye Jizu’s sole young master! How could a scene like this unfold between two people whose statuses are as far apart as the clouds and the mud? Is this a movie? Even if it was, the roles should be reversed! Am I hallucinating, or has Young Master Ye completely lost his mind?
"Not necessary. Go back where you belong and don’t bother me. I don’t want to repeat myself," Qin Fan said coldly, without even a backward glance.
He knew exactly what Ye Haoyuan and the Ye family were plotting. He understood their eagerness to curry favor with him, but understanding and accepting were two different things entirely.
"Idol, I—"
Unwilling to give up, Ye Haoyuan started to speak again.
"Get lost!" Qin Fan cut him off sharply.
Feeling the raw impatience in Qin Fan’s voice, Ye Haoyuan shuddered. With a reluctant, bitter smile, he said, "Alright, Idol, I’ll get lost! But if you ever need an errand boy, just say the word. Even if you want me to tie up that bald-headed jackass and give him a beating, I’ll get it done for you in a heartbeat!"
With that, Ye Haoyuan stopped in his tracks.
Sensing that he was no longer being followed, Qin Fan didn’t spare him another thought. Ignoring the stares around him, he strode into the Class 7 classroom.
The students from other classes in the hallway, however, remained frozen in shock for a long time.
Idol? Ye Haoyuan called Qin Fan his idol? Was it because he slapped the Dean? But with someone of Ye Haoyuan’s status, why would he care about a mere Dean? Qi Middle School might have some backing, but compared to the Ye family, or even Ye Haoyuan himself, that so-called backing was nothing! If that’s not the reason, then what is? In just a dozen days, a universally despised and bullied loser had somehow gotten the upper hand on one of Jiangzhou’s top scions. What in the world happened? Has the world gone mad?
As he watched Qin Fan’s figure disappear into the classroom, Ye Haoyuan sheepishly prepared to leave. But when he saw all the eyes still fixed on him, he snapped.
His grandfather had told him not to care about what others thought. But when all those eyes were on him, it was still a real pain in the ass!
"Get your damn eyes off me! What are you looking at? Scram!"
The students jolted back to reality, nodding and bowing in a panic. "Yes, yes, Young Master Ye!"
Then, they scattered like birds, vanishing down the hallway.
Ye Haoyuan snorted in disdain. Shoving a hand in his pocket, he turned and walked away, the arrogant demeanor of a top-tier scion on full display.
