After instantly killing several guards without leaving a trace or shedding a drop of blood, Qin Fan leisurely passed through the Forest Garden and stepped directly into the entrance of the Miao Clan's heartland. Beneath the bright moon and sparse stars, he gazed at the tranquility of the distant, fading lantern lights and offered a silent, arrogant smile.

"Who are you? Why haven't I seen you before?"

Noticing Qin Fan's unfamiliar attire as he entered the village, several men with gloomy faces, their entire bodies enshrouded in Gu Qi, surrounded him.

"Where is the Third Young Master?" Qin Fan countered, ignoring their question with a smirk.

The Third Young Master? Is he here looking for the Third Young Master?

"Do you know the Third Young Master?" one of the men asked, his surprise at Qin Fan's words quickly turning to wariness. It wasn't unheard of for outsiders to know the Gu Clan's location—people from Medicine Valley visited frequently enough—but the sudden appearance of a complete stranger was more than enough to put them on high alert.

"What do you want with the Third Young Master?" another man asked, his brow creased with suspicion.

We heard the Third Young Master only came back to hide because he got into trouble outside. For someone to show up looking for him deep in Gu Clan territory at this critical juncture… is it a setup or a coincidence?

Regardless, the men instinctively adopted a defensive posture.

"Oh, nothing much. I'm just here to kill him," Qin Fan replied nonchalantly, shaking his head as if discussing some trivial matter, all while grinning harmlessly.

"As expected, you're here to die!" the men growled, their expressions turning tense and grim.

But just as they were about to attack, a loud shout erupted from behind them.

"All of you, fucking stop!"

SWISH!

The Gu Clan members froze, reflexively whirling around. When they saw Miao Yingjie's face, so gloomy it looked like it could drip water, they hastily bowed. "First Young Master!"

Ignoring their respectful greeting, Miao Yingjie pushed past the Gu Clan members, staring directly at Qin Fan. "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

"Who I am doesn't matter. What's important is that I've come to collect a debt," Qin Fan said, his initial reluctance to waste his breath giving way to a mischievous, playful smile. By the looks of it, the relationship between the First Young Master and the Third Young Master isn't very good!

"Was the Dead Man Gu your handiwork?" Miao Yingjie's breathing grew ragged as he tried to sense Qin Fan's aura, which felt no different from that of an ordinary person.

If this man were an ordinary person, how could he possibly have bypassed the guards in the Forest Garden? Yet, for him to appear here so calmly means he can't be some common nobody. The dissonance between these two points proved one thing: the visitor had ill intentions. Not only that, but his strength was so profound it had returned to the basics!

"You're right. That's exactly how it is," Qin Fan said with a nod and a faint smile. "Where is Miao Haohao? Tell me. Either you hand him over, or I'll wipe out the entire Gu Clan, leaving nothing and no one alive."

His casual, breezy demeanor was that of someone catching up with an old friend. The suggestion that he was here to kill seemed completely out of place.

"You're courting death!" one of the men behind Miao Yingjie blurted out, unable to restrain himself.

SLAP!

The word had barely left his mouth before Miao Yingjie's hand cracked fiercely across his face. "Was it your turn to speak?"

"First Young Master, he—he's here to cause trouble!" the man stammered, cupping his burning cheek in disbelief.

"I will handle this. All of you, go back, and not a word of this to anyone. If anyone else finds out, I don't need to tell you what the consequences will be. Go! Get out of here, now!" Miao Yingjie commanded, his gaze chilling as a cold smile touched his lips.

What—What the hell does that mean? Someone has invaded the Gu Clan's heartland to kill the heir to the position of Clan Leader, yet the First Young Master wants them to keep it a secret? Why?

For a moment, all their gazes shifted, staring in disbelief at Miao Yingjie's exceptionally grim face.

"Do you not understand my words?" Miao Yingjie repeated, his expression turning sinister.

"Yes! First Young Master!" They snapped back to reality, their voices trembling slightly. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

It seemed they had an inkling of what was happening, but this was a battle between titans. What right did they have to interfere? Discretion was the better part of valor!

Clutching their fear and disbelief, the Gu Clan members departed, walking away in a state of deep unease.

"Oh? First Young Master, aren't you afraid they'll spill the beans? If they do, you'll be in trouble!" Qin Fan said, watching them go with amusement.

"They wouldn't dare," Miao Yingjie snorted, then asked, "Tell me, how did you find this place?"

"I despise people who prattle on. Also, don't put on your 'First Young Master' airs in front of me. I'm afraid if I get in a bad mood, I might just crush an ant like you. Understand?" Qin Fan said, shaking his head disdainfully as a proud smile spread across his lips.

"And what if I were to shout for the entire Gu Clan? What do you suppose your fate would be then?" Miao Yingjie asked noncommittally.

"Are you threatening me?" Qin Fan scoffed.

The next moment, Miao Yingjie's vision blurred. His feet left the ground as Qin Fan lifted him by the neck with a single hand.

"If I were afraid of your Gu Clan, would I have waltzed in here so openly? Since I'm here, it means your clan has only two possible futures: either you obediently bring Miao Haohao out to face his death, or I slaughter everyone and everything here, leaving no living creature behind. Get it, you idiot?" As he spoke, Qin Fan raised his other hand and arrogantly patted Miao Yingjie's cheek.

"And do you know why you're still alive? It's because I can sense your hatred for Miao Haohao. That's the only reason I'm giving you a chance to live. Understand, kid?"

WHOOM!

At Qin Fan's every sharp, severe word, Miao Yingjie's mind went blank. The suffocating feeling of being unable to breathe washed over him. At the same time, sensing their master was in danger, the Gu inside his body shot out, flying toward Qin Fan in a dense swarm of colorful, dazzling specks.

In response, Qin Fan merely chuckled. His Prison Suppressing Body, having evolved from its nascent stage into its true form, activated spontaneously. A faint but brilliant azure glow instantly enveloped him. He stood like an unmovable mountain, not flinching or dodging as the swarm of Gu descended.

In the blink of an eye, it was over.

SIZZLE!

SQUEAL!

Any Gu that touched the azure light emitted a dying screech before instantly plummeting to the ground.

Seeing this, Qin Fan casually produced a True Fire Talisman and tossed it over the fallen Gu. His Eyes of Golden Flame flared as he activated the talisman.

WHOOSH!

Golden flames erupted, and all the Gu countered by the Prison Suppressing Body's backlash were incinerated by the One-Flavor True Fire, turning into motes of white dust.

A chilly night wind blew, scattering the ash until nothing remained between heaven and earth.

Suspended in midair, Miao Yingjie witnessed the scene, his eyes bulging like a bull's. Written across his face and in his eyes was nothing but pure, absolute fear.
