Chapter 866: Chapter 866: Test Her Skill

Bai Xifeng just finished her class in Poison Division when one of the teachers called out for her.

"Student Bai, a teacher from the Alchemist Division, requests to meet you at the Alchemist Division common hall. You should go and meet him now." The teacher stated.

"Thank you, Teacher." Bai Xifeng bowed to the teacher.

Bai Xifeng thought it must be about the matter that she spoke to Wei Shan a few days ago. So, she walked toward the Alchemist Division. When she arrived at the Alchemist Division common hall, she saw a group of people in the area.

"Hello, everyone. I am Bai Xifeng." Bai Xifeng introduced herself to the people.

She looked around and saw two familiar faces, which were Wei Shan and Xiao Junjie.

"I hear that you want to exchange your pills to the point." One of the teachers spoke out.

"Yes, Sir." Bai Xifeng nodded.

"Then, may I know what rank are you as the Alchemist?" The teacher asked.

"Ancestor rank." Bai Xifeng stated.

"Huh? Ancestor Rank? How old are you?" Another teacher asked.

Other teachers were shocked to hear the rank mentioned.

"I am 14 years old." Bai Xifeng answered.

They were shocked once again.

"Where is your alchemist badge? We would like to see it." The teacher asked.

Bai Xifeng took out the Alchemist Division badge.

"No... No... Not this badge. The badge that you got when you registered for the Alchemist Order. You have one, right?" The teacher asked.

"Oh... That... Yes... I have that. One minute, please." Bai Xifeng nodded.

She took out the storage rune and recovered the badge from it. Everyone looked at Bai Xifeng in surprise. They recognised the paper in Bai Xifeng’s hand was a rune. But she just recovered something from the rune. It functioned like a Qiankun Bag.

"Eh, not this one." Bai Xifeng looked at the badge.

So, she recovered another badge. This time, she did not mistake it.

"I found it. Here is the badge." Bai Xifeng lifted up the badge.

One of the teachers came out and inspected the badge.

"Hmm... It is indeed the right badge. It also shows that Student Bai is an Ancestor Rank Alchemist." The teacher announced.

The teacher returned the badge to Bai Xifeng. Bai Xifeng took it and stored it back in the storage rune.

"Student Bai’s rank is indeed good, but we still need to see your skill first. So, you will have to create the pill. Scarlet Gathering Qi Pill first." The teacher stated.

"Okay." Bai Xifeng nodded. "You will provide the materials, right?"

"Of course." The teacher nodded.

Right on cue, someone came out bringing the materials. He placed the materials on the table. Bai Xifeng looked at the materials and immediately frowned.

"Are you kidding me? You want me to fail? This is not Shulon tree bark." Bai Xifeng pointed at the tree bark on the table.

"Good. You recognise the materials." The teacher nodded approvingly.

Another person came back and brought the Shulon tree bark.

"You may start." The teacher stated.

Bai Xifeng thought about something. She knew that the teacher would see her method and comment about it. They probably would try to stop her, too. So, to prevent them from disturbing her, she created array array.

The teachers were even stunned as they realised Bai Xifeng had created an array.

"What?"

"She also knew about the array formation?"

"So, she is an Array Master as well?"

"But why does she create an array out of nowhere?"

The last question was answered when they saw Bai Xifeng start to put all of the materials into the cauldron in one go. They shouted, asking Bai Xifeng to stop. A teacher asked the person who brought out the material earlier to go and stop Bai Xifeng. However, he was stopped by the array. He pounced on it. Nothing happened.

The teachers looked at Bai Xifeng in horror as they watched Bai Xifeng light the fire for the cauldron. She began to stir everything in the cauldron.

"This is going to be a disaster." One of the teachers stated.

"Yeah. How can someone just toss the materials into the cauldron without refining them?" Another teacher chimed in.

"It will explode. I am sure about that." Another teacher commented about that.

"Just wait until she finishes." Wei Shan stated.

"Teacher Wei, what do you mean by that?" The teacher asked.

"To think about it, it is Teacher Wei who suggests this student, right?" Another teacher stated.

"Hmm... It is me. Just watch her until the end. You will be understood." Wei Shan smiled.

Bai Xifeng kept stirring the cauldron. She already put the Qi into the cauldron to refine the materials inside it. After she finished refining the materials, she waved her hand at the fire. The colour of the fire changed from red-orange to light purple. Everyone was shocked to see this.

"This... This..."

"Such a good fire."

"But her method is..."

Then, Bai Xifeng covered the cauldron and put some distance between them.

"See... She knows it will be exploded."

Right on cue, the explosion could be heard. Everyone seemed to be disappointed. Bai Xifeng approached the cauldron. She took away the cover. The black smoke came out. She waved her hands, making the black smoke disappear.

Then, she looked inside the cauldron. She smiled. There were 20 pills inside the cauldron. She took them out one by one and placed them into the glass jar.
