Chapter 315: The Demon King

"Elsa, I think they are right. You and Rocco are the last of the divine mages and now they have Rocco. We should be careful and not let them have you too," Drake tried to convince his niece even though he knew that he would not succeed.

Elsa was about to retort again but Chris raised his hand to stop the incoming argument that he was sure his wife would start. "Drake, my wife can surely defend herself and I am here to protect her as well."

Drake scoffed and replied, "And what are you going to do when your wolf becomes uncontrollable again?"

Chris laughed and jested trying to calm everyone down, "When that happens, all you have to do is run away from me as fast as you can. My wife could either fly but she definitely knows how to knock me out, so don’t worry about the things that might even happen. We will cross the bridge when we get there. But for now, let’s all eat breakfast and move. We have a long way ahead of us.

’Are you sure you will not push me to go to Qiryn again?’ Elsa asked Chris via their bond while all of them headed to the dining hall for breakfast.

’I would if I could and if you need to be there. But I meant it when I said you can defend yourself. The demon king might be powerful but divine magic is one of his weaknesses. I know that you have mastered your four elements but they are almost useless against the demon king.

Train with your divine magic while I am gone. Your healing and divine shield are very useful but you also need at least one divine attack spell. If ever you come face to face with Mordrak he will surely push you into a corner and will keep attacking you until you cannot protect yourself anymore.

So try your best to enhance your divine magic and let’s test it once I’m back,’ Chris winked at Elsa before taking his seat on the dining table.

Elsa smiled at the trust that Chris was giving but her smile quickly faded away after remembering what she was about to do.

They all ate fast since it would take them a day before they could reach Vrenada. Only Chris and Drake will meet Vrenada’s council so they decided to not bring their horses anymore. Elsa will ride Chris in his wolf form while Drake will ride Tallor.

Tallor has volunteered to accompany Elsa there since Hoven will be busy with the preparation in the castle. The Elite Alphas do not want anyone else to accompany their Queen since even though they are in their own kingdom, they don’t want to be complacent anymore.

Their journey was smooth and they only stopped when they needed to eat or drink. When they reached the road going to the Haraldsen’s Mansion, Drake and Elsa switched and the two groups went their separate ways.

"Tallor, are we near a river? My stomach is aching. I think I need to relieve myself," Elsa said.

Tallor stopped running and sniffed the air and soil. After some time he nodded and went to the nearest water source he could smell. But when he saw where they were, he hesitated.

Elsa knew why was he like that but pretended to not know anything and asked. "What’s wrong, please hurry, I think I can’t hold it anymore."

Tallor let Elsa get off him. She turned around before he shifted back to his human form. "My Queen this stream leads to the river going to the boundary of Arcanis, Vrenada, and Kurzen. This place is very dangerous."

"Oh, really? But I really need to go now. I will be careful and quiet, can I go now?" Elsa held her stomach acting to be in discomfort, convincing Tallor.

"Alright, be quick and be careful. I will stay here and be on guard. Don’t go too far."

Instead of walking, Elsa let out her wings and flew away shocking Tallor, so she said, "I’m in a hurry, my wings are faster than my legs. Don’t you dare follow me and locate my scene, this is too embarrassing for me!"

Tallor shook his head as he watched their queen fly away hoping that she would come back in one piece or else it would be the end of his life when Chri found out what happened.

Elsa let out a heavy sigh when she was already far enough from Tallor and headed towards the end of the stream, where she would meet King Mordrak and see her son. It was helpful that the map of Arcanis that Lexi showed her was a detailed one and she tried her best to memorize the location of where they would meet.

She saw lights from afar and flew straight there. She doesn’t have to search for Rocco for his red hair and Milda’s blonde hair stood out from the rest of the demons there. But another man with silver hair caught her attention.

She quickly hugged Rocco and Milda the moment she landed and no one stopped her from doing so. Tears fell from her and Milda’s eyes and she could feel her aunt trembling.

"Are you okay? Is Rocco alright? Did they hurt you both?" Elsa asked without a pause while Milda handed Rocco to her who was smiling and giggling after seeing her.

"Oh come on, My Queen. I already told you that they are my guest and are being treated like how royalties should be treated," came the voice of the man with long silver hair.

She looked at him and saw his blue and purple eyes and was mesmerized by the beauty it holds. But she quickly furrowed her eyebrows and said, "I am not asking you, I am asking my aunt!"

"Ooh... Feisty... I like that," the man replied, earning him a glare from Elsa.

"We are fine, Elsa. They didn’t hurt us and what he said is true. By the way, he is King Mordrak Baelzor, the demon king."

Elsa squinted her eyes and gave him another glare before her eyes slowly glowed as she uttered, "Divinuum Presidium..."
