The Royal Mark-Chapter 333: Let’s Get Married Now
Elsa’s gaze immediately falls on King Mordrak who stands up and pulls out the dining chair for her. Upon sitting, she scanned the dining hall to memorize it but instead, she was fascinated by the sophistication of the decor.
King Mordrak saw her reaction and asked, "So, what do you think of my castle?"
"It was not what I was expecting," Elsa answered.
Mordrak sat back in his seat after assisting Elsa with hers and questioned, "What were you expecting?"
Elsa chuckled after remembering a horror movie that she had seen before. Her chuckle made King Mordrak smile unconsciously, utterly captivated by her. Elsa quickly fixed her reaction after seeing the smile on the demon king’s face.
She cleared her throat and replied, "I thought Kurzen was a dark place just like how hell was depicted in my world. So I expected your castle to be dark as well and scary."
King Mordrak laughed heartily, which made Elsa see him in a different light. ’He looks... Normal... Like a normal human being..."
"It’s funny that many people thought that way when Kurzen is still part of Vectus and not the underworld. Kurzen is a beautiful place since there are a lot of places here that are still undisturbed by civilization. I will take you there in the future."
King Mordrak then signaled to one of the servants to bring in their food and fired another question at Elsa. "Do you like your room?"
Elsa gulped and brazen herself to say her demands to the demon king. She must admit that his presence scares her a bit only because she’s in his territory and she is not ready to die yet.
"I would like to move to another room," she frankly said.
"What don’t you like in your current room? I will immediately tell the servants to change it. Just tell me."
"I don’t like it being a connected room to your room. I don’t like being near you, I don’t feel safe around you, and I don’t like you," she bluntly replied.
Mordrak’s jaw dropped at how straightforward her words were. He didn’t expect her to be this honest.
"I appreciate your honesty, but have you forgotten that you agreed to marry me, and that room is the Queen’s room that’s why it is adjoined to mine," Mordrak said.
"I have not forgotten that, but let me remind you that the deal is still incomplete. Give me the cure and I will stay in that room," Elsa challenged.
King Mordrak stared at her while rubbing his chin with his thumb and index finger. ’What should I do? Milda ruined my plan.’
"You know, I can’t give you the cure until I can guarantee that you will not escape until we are married. It is just right for me to take precautionary measures right?"
"So let’s get married now and give me the cure," Elsa blurted out, instantly regretting her words.
She wanted Chris to be finally healed of the effect of hecatolite, she wanted him to live. She knows that once he is cured, it will be easy for him to bring their son to the sleeping mages to wake them up.
She trusted that once the mages were awake, her husband would come to save her. She knew he wouldn’t let her stay there forever. All she needed was to get the cure from the demon king and be patient while waiting for her husband. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"Whoa, take it easy, Your Majesty. I will marry you at the right time. Just like the werewolves, we also have our customs here in Kurzen. We will get married on the sixth day of the coming month," King Mordrak revealed.
Elsa swiftly counted the days and retorted, "That is three weeks away from now and you promised to give me the cure on our exchange. I need the cure now!" She stood up and slammed both hands to the table.
The servant who was bringing in their food was startled at her sudden outburst, causing him to lose his balance making the tray of food flip over from his hands, dropping on the floor.
Both she and the demon king turned their gaze to the servant who was frozen for a bit before kneeling and started begging.
"P-Please forgive me, My King. I was startled. Allow me to clean this up and bring you a new one. I-I’m really–"
Elsa gasped and covered her mouth. The demon king did not let the servant finish talking. He threw a powerful shadow bolt at him, turning him to ashes.
"So noisy..." King Mordrak said. He signaled servants standing by the door to immediately clean the mess while the other one went to the kitchen to get another set of food.
"Why did you do that for?" Elsa yelled angrily.
"He did not only interrupt our conversation but he also made a mess," Mordrak said.
"He already apologized. You have no heart!" Elsa cried out.
"Yes, I don’t. But for you, I have, my heart only belongs to you. Don’t be afraid of me, I will never you. But going back to our conversation. I promise to give you the cure after we get married. Now, please take a seat, and don’t startle my servants anymore with your yelling."
Elsa could not believe that he was so merciless and insane, but nonetheless, she took a seat to avoid any further deaths.
"I want to get married right away so I can get the cure, and we can get re-married on the sixth to follow your traditions," Elsa offered calmly.
Mordrak scoffed, "You think it’s that easy? You are mated to a true werewolf and he has placed his mark on you. That mark will only disappear if your mate rejects you or if he dies, which I don’t think will happen anytime soon.
But it can be replaced by another marking and it could only happen on the sixth, of next month. So, I cannot marry you until then. I don’t want to bed a woman carrying another man’s mark. It’s an insult to my status.
However, if you are eager to marry me and spend the night with me, then that can be arranged... As for the cure, you will still get it after I marry you on the sixth without Christopher’s mark."
