The Royal Mark-Chapter 347: Messed Up Family Tree

When Kaizer dropped Rocco’s blood into the well that Chris found and the cave entrance opened so easily and smoothly. Everyone cheered and excitedly entered the cave.

Just when they thought that they would be able to see the sleeping mages that same day, they thought wrong. All they did after entering the cave was to dig through layers and layers of ice that were blocking their path to get through to the sleeping divine mages.

"I can’t believe your wife even thought of this scenario. If she didn’t add to her plan to bring pickaxe and shovels, we wouldn’t be able to go through this thick wall of ice," Andrius told Chris.

"It’s either she anticipated this or she had seen this in one of her dreams. If only she knew it would be this thick, then perhaps she would’ve asked us to either bring from people or make one of the machinery she had been talking about ever since we got back in Vectus," Chris commented.

"I agree on bringing more people because it has been five days and we have to hurry digging. Today is the fourth of the sixth month and the wedding is in two days," Drake said in a loud voice, causing everyone to pick up their speed in digging.

The three groups would exchange places every four hours to make sure everyone would get enough rest. The men were in charge of digging and carrying the big chunks of ice out of the way while the women were in charge of cooking and shoveling the ice in their path.

"Let’s switch with the second group so we could eat and rest. It’s almost lunchtime, prepare to exchange places people!" Andrius called out to everyone but Baahu had something else to say.

"Wait! King Andrius, King Christopher, I think we’ve got something here," Baahu announced and continued hammering his pickaxe into the wall of ice. "Can you hear that?" he asked.

Andrius, Chris, and Drake walked closer to the spot where Baahu was.

"Hear what?" Drake asked in confusion.

"The sound of the pickaxe against the ice is sharp and piercing. Meaning, this part of the wall is already thin," Baahu explained.

Chris smirked and patted Baahu’s shoulder, "Good observation, Baahu," before turning around to face everyone. "Everyone listen up. Pick up your pickaxe and shovels, let’s all work on this side of the wall. We are almost in!"

Everyone felt happy upon hearing that they were almost done digging through the cave. At last, they would be able to see the sleeping mages and ask for help to save their Queen and Princess.

Both the mages and werewolves felt as if there was a surge of energy and strength that flowed through their bodies making them dig harder and faster.

They didn’t have to dig that long because just after a few hits of Baahu’s pickaxe he shouted with excitement, "I did it! I did it!, There’s a hole in the wall! And There’s no more ice on the other side!"

Everyone got more excited and started to help Baahu completely destroy the wall of ice on his spot until they were able to open up a hole good for two people. They made way for Chris and Andrius, letting them go in first.

When they walked in, they saw different colored lights and different kinds of machinery. There were many tables with covers that looked like metal beds.

Chris walked to the wall with lights first and uttered, "This is a medical apparatus, it’s similar to the room where Elsa and Nathan kept me after Elsa hit me with her car." He then looked for something and when he found it, he pulled it up.

Murmurs erupted inside as mages and werewolves were amazed by the electronic lights that appeared on the ceiling.

"Cryo Chamber..." Andrius muttered as he stared at the beds. Inside it were people, sleeping.

"Queen Yvonne, kept Marina into something like this when we found her in Salvidar," Drake said.

"They must be the divine mages, and there’s only one way to find out," Chris remarked before looking for a button to open the chamber. He remembered something like it when he looked through Nathan’s memories back in Novus. He didn’t pay attention to it since he didn’t know it was something useful and important.

Chris found a blue button on the side of the cryo chamber, near the head of the person inside. He pushed that and the glass covering the chamber opened up.

Everybody unconsciously held their breath while watching the cryo chamber and the person inside, waiting for the mage to finally wake up.

The man inside the chamber slowly opened his eyes and carefully looked around. He frowned upon seeing Chris, recognizing that he was a werewolf.

So Andrius stood beside him and greeted the mage, "Greetings from Zemaria, I am King Andrius Van der Aart. Are you a divine mage?"

The man gently sat up and looked around, his frown got deeper after seeing many werewolves and mages together before looking back to Andrius.

"Where is the current Archmage of Zemaria? And why am I being woken up by the King and not the Archmage?" the mad asked.

"The last Archmage was killed by a demon almost four years ago. Her daughter is now the wife of the previous king, my father. Their daughter who is my half-sister, is tied to Tree of Life and cannot leave Qiryn. My niece who is a half-divine mage and half-seraphim, who’s father is Seraphim Nathaniel, is the current Queen of Arcanis but she’s a hostage in Kurzen now.

We woke you up to ask for help to rescue my niece. The demon king will marry her in two days. He wanted to create an heir with a demon, divine mage, and angel blood, so we must hurry," Andrius responded.

The man blinked several times at Andrius, flabbergasted by what he revealed to him. "Wow... You’ve got a really messed up family tree there, My King."

Everyone heard the mand and tried their best not to laugh. Even Chris and Drake attempted to look away and cover their mouths with their fists to prevent themselves from laughing.

Andrius cleared his throat and asked, "So, would you be able to help us?"

"Of course, My King. If the daughter of the one who gave us our divine magic is in trouble, then it is our honor to help her. Let’s wake up everyone so we can regroup and make plans," the divine mage said before slowly standing up and bowing to Andrius and Chris.
