The S+ Class Omega Takes Over Again [BL]-Chapter 25: I hope the baby is just like you
"Areum."
Calling out for him, Yoon Seoyul turned around. Lowering his hand, Cheon Areum was about to speak when Yoon Seoyul picked him up like a kid—hands sliding under his arms—and sat him on the empty kitchen island. Placing his hands on his sides, he gently kissed Cheon Areum’s cheek.
"It will be done soon, so let’s just stay here like this."
He immediately looped his arms around Yoon Seoyul’s neck and leaned forward, hiding his face in the warm hollow at the base of his neck. His eyes slid shut as his forehead brushed skin, breath finally evening out as if his body had decided this was a safe place to stop holding itself together.
"Let’s just stay like this."
Yoon Seoyul held his waist with one hand, continuing to stay just the way Cheon Areum wanted.
"Let’s go early for a check-up in the morning. I want to make sure our baby is okay too."
"Hm. If you feel any discomfort, you have to tell me. I will take you to the hospital."
"With how much energy this baby takes, I don’t think anything could disturb their sleep."
He had always joked that their baby would be even stronger than both of them combined, but he was starting to believe it. The baby only ever took what it needed and grew peacefully.
"I hope the baby looks exactly like you, despite their gender. I’m very greedy, you know."
"Why would the baby be like Yoon Seoyul? It’s your baby, hyung!"
In the quiet kitchen, no one knew when Rian had come or how long he had been listening. A bit taken aback, Cheon Areum turned to face Rian, who was standing in the doorway.
"I told you to go to bed. What are you doing?"
"I want to eat too."
Standing unfazed, Rian instantly answered Yoon Seoyul and came to climb on top of the kitchen island too—even though Yoon Seoyul had always told him not to stand there. But seeing Cheon Areum, he brazenly sat down next to him.
"Also, it’s hyung’s baby. What does Yoon Seoyul have to do with it?"
"Why don’t you ask him that?"
Supporting himself with a hand behind him, Cheon Areum leaned down to Rian’s height as he spoke.
"Mom always said that we both looked like her because she was the one who carried us in her tummy when we were super tiny."
Rian began explaining seriously, his hands forming a little circle.
"And then when we were born, Dad also raised us with her, so we learned to be like him too. But the main point is, since it is hyung’s baby, it will be like you! With pretty purple eyes!"
He clapped his hands excitedly before he was taken off the kitchen island by Yoon Seoyul.
"Huh?"
"I told you not to get on here."
"But! But hyung is also sitting on it!"
Taking out one of the three bar stools from slightly under the kitchen island, Yoon Seoyul sat Rian down there. Yoon Seoyul didn’t respond why Cheon Areum gets to sit there and quickly changed his tone.
"You can sit here or go back to your room."
"Let him live. He’s a kid."
Cheon Areum decided to jump down from the kitchen island too, coming over to sit next to Rian on a bar stool.
"Sleep is important for kids his age too."
"Is it?"
Cheon Areum tilted his head in thought. He had heard something about not growing tall if you skip out on sleep, but he hadn’t grown that tall even after sleeping day and night when he was a kid in the hospital, barely opening his eyes a few times a day.
"You greatly underestimate me, Yoon Seoyul!"
Rian pointed at him with his finger as he spoke out.
"I can go without sleep for a full week if I want to."
Proud and tall, he spoke, fully convinced he was capable of doing so.
"If that’s the case, I would like to see it. Start from today. You had a good nap; you can last a week now, right?"
Even though Yoon Seoyul was probably not serious, every time he said something it sounded serious. Rian narrowed his eyes silently at his back as Yoon Seoyul used the ladle to fill two bowls of seaweed soup for Rian and Cheon Areum. Setting them on the kitchen island, the bigger one was for Cheon Areum.
"Do you want anything else, Areum?"
"No."
"Oh! Oh! Ask me!"
Rian raised his hand to draw Yoon Seoyul’s attention to him.
"What do you want?"
"Rice and side dishes too! The leftover chocolate cake too!"
"I will give you some rice. If you eat too much when you’re usually asleep at this time, you’ll have a tummy ache."
"Ack!"
Freezing upon the words "tummy ache"—which he hated the most—Rian nodded multiple times out of fear. Gaining his white rice, Rian ate happily with a smile, swinging his legs. You would think he would be tired of eating seaweed soup every other day, but it appeared Rian liked it more than Cheon Areum.
"It feels like my birthday every time I have seaweed soup!"
"Is that why you like it so much?"
"Yes!" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Cheon Areum was about to pick up his spoon and dig in too when it was stolen from his hand by Yoon Seoyul.
"Careful, it’s hot."
Yoon Seoyul blew gently over the spoon before bringing it to Cheon Areum’s lips, one hand steady beneath it in case it spilled. Cheon Areum drank obediently, spoon after spoon, swallowing the warm broth, occasionally chewing on a soft piece of beef when it reached his mouth.
Midway through, his gaze drifted.
Rian was sitting close on the other side of the island, one hand resting near the bowl, fingers loosely holding another spoon. Something shimmered there—faint but unmistakable. A colorful hue flickered between the metal and Rian’s skin, catching Cheon Areum’s eye instantly. Cheon Areum reached out at once. He seized Rian’s hand; the spoon clattered softly back into the bowl. Turning the palm upward, his attention fully locked onto it as he observed it closely.
