The S+ Class Omega Takes Over Again [BL]-Chapter 39: Let’s just play along for now
"Who’s this gentleman here? Is he your husband?"
The man rolled his mustache with a finger, squinting as if inspecting him like livestock.
"An alpha and an omega, huh? For married couples, we have designated suites too."
Cheon Areum’s gaze went deadpan, scanning both men. He weighed his options with chilling calm. Which one do I kill first? The thought barely needed justification—the possibility of being mistaken for his husband alone was enough to merit this new awakener’s death. And the man who had just spoken those cursed words? Definitely the second.
"This piece of trash is not my husband."
Cheon Areum’s voice was icy as he turned to the new awakener to bid him farewell, but the man was quicker than him, immediately clapping his hands and announcing in a loud voice.
"We’ve got food for the fishes! Food for the fishes!"
At once, the people waiting in line froze—and then slowly, silently, they turned toward them. One by one, they moved out of their spots, toward their direction, coming out to them without saying anything, wearing the same expressionless faces, and cornered them. The crowd lifted the new awakener high above their heads, carrying him back toward the gate as if they were conducting a funeral for him. Seeing the scene, Cheon Areum couldn’t help but speak out.
"He’s with me. We will take the suite."
"Yes, yes! Excellent choice. That was a mistake—lower the gentleman. He’s about to become a father soon."
The man said it casually, like he’d known all along, revealing he was already aware of Cheon Areum’s pregnancy. The crowd obeyed instantly, lowering the new awakener back to the ground. Cheon Areum ignored the words entirely—he was the only one who heard this nonsense anyway—and instead shot a sharp glare at the man. Without another word, the man gestured toward the hotel, and Cheon Areum followed, hauling the new awakener along with him.
The hotel turned out to be a luxurious five-star building, far exceeding Cheon Areum’s expectations—and his worries immediately eased when they entered the suite. The room was spacious, lavishly furnished, and for once, the man left them alone without any more of his bullshit.
Cheon Areum couldn’t tell if this was a blessing in disguise—or if the city’s people simply needed time to plot their assassination—but there was no point in overthinking it. He needed rest, needed to rebuild his energy before he could turn his attention back to the monsters lurking in the dungeon. Sinking onto the plush couch, he finally allowed himself a long exhale. He took out a handful of snacks from his inventory, munching absentmindedly as he kept his gaze fixed on the unconscious new awakener sprawled on the floor.
The eyelids of the new awakener were twitching; he was either experiencing belated shame or about to regain his consciousness from the shame of getting beaten by Cheon Areum.
"Where are we?"
The new awakener’s voice was low, wary, as his singular eye took in the luxurious suite around them. Cheon Areum merely sucked on a milk lollipop, eyes fixed on him, offering no answer.
"You brought me to a hotel? What do you want from me now? I’m not interested in a one-night stand."
"....."
Another one spewing nonsense. Cheon Areum didn’t feel the slightest urge to explain what had happened while the man had been sleeping peacefully. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"If you couldn’t tell, let me make give it to you clearly. Besides Yoon Seoyul, no one gets to fuck me. I don’t care if you’re an S+ Class; I don’t see any appeal in you whatsoever. My heart and body belong to him, and only him."
As he kindly explained to the new awakener, he formed a cage around the man with reinforced bars that couldn’t be broken by anyone but him before he could even get up from the shining floor. The new awakener settled in place, knowing he wasn’t getting out of here.
Cheon Areum finished his snacks in silence. Once his energy had recovered enough for him to move again, he pushed himself up from the couch with a reluctant sigh. The comfort of the suite was dangerous—too tempting. If he stayed any longer, he might actually fall asleep right there, forget where he was, and blend in with the dungeon’s monsters as if he belonged among them.
He missed his family. The thought made his chest tighten, a faint anxiety creeping in as he realized how much he wanted to be immersed in Yoon Seoyul’s pheromones again.
Pouting slightly, Cheon Areum lingered near the entrance for a moment, dragging his feet as if the door itself were resisting him. Then, with one last glance back at the new awakener, he turned and headed out. After taking care of everything in under three hours, Cheon Areum returned to the suite. He unlocked the door with the key card and walked straight toward the cage without hesitation. The man inside lay still, eyelids shut as if pretending the world didn’t exist.
"Wake up. I got you food."
The man’s eyelids slowly opened, narrowing the moment they landed on him. Cheon Areum stood there holding a full deck of black cards—every single one present except the four aces, which he’d kept aside for the bosses, just in case there were four of them. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed the cards into the cage, letting them scatter across the floor as he instructed the new awakener.
"Get to work. Rip all of them for me."
"Why do I have to do it? As the strongest, you can go ahead and use mind corruption to make me. I’m not going to do it willingly. I can stay here with you in this dungeon forever, for all I care."
Cheon Areum wasn’t in the mood to argue. He bound the man in black ropes of his energy—one sealing his mouth and controlling the hands with his energy instead—and made the new awakener rip the cards one by one without waiting.
The man convulsed instantly, a muffled groan tearing from his throat as the essence of the monster inside the card rushed into him. His body trembled violently, struggling to contain it. Cheon Areum didn’t intervene. He didn’t have the energy to deal with the essences himself—and more importantly, he didn’t want to. He moved back to the couch and sat down, watching with detached calm as the man was forced to rip the cards one by one, each tear drawing another broken sound from him.
