Chapter 873: Chapter 888: Did She Cry?

In an instant, Jiang Mingheng’s expression changed. He hung up the phone and drove over according to the address sent by Li Manman.

Just after Jiang Mingheng had dropped Ruan Lan off at the restaurant, he went to meet with a client as scheduled, but he never expected that such an incident would happen to Ruan Lan in such a short time, and he wasn’t even by her side.

The car quickly stopped at the hospital. Jiang Mingheng got out of the car and ran toward the lobby, continuously pressing the elevator button, but the red numbers still showed the 12th floor. Jiang Mingheng couldn’t wait any longer and hurriedly dashed into the stairwell.

He raised his hand to push open the door to the seventh floor stairwell and saw Li Manman and Mu Yan sitting on the long bench in the corridor. He strode over: "Did you just take the call? How is my wife now?"

Maybe he was too anxious climbing the stairs just now, leading to his clear voice carrying uneven panting.

Li Manman looked up at this man, around thirty-five or thirty-six years old, wearing smart suit pants, a black shirt, with cufflinks that were all handmade, his deep and prominent features were very exquisite, exuding a noble and powerful aura all over.

Li Manman stood up from the bench and handed the phone in her hand to him: "Your wife is already in the delivery room, she was bleeding a lot at the restaurant just now."

Jiang Mingheng took the bloodstained phone from Li Manman’s hand, worriedly looking towards the operating room: "Did she cry?" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"She was strong, did not cry. Now that you are here, we will leave."

Jiang Mingheng took out a business card case from his pants pocket, drew out a card and handed it to Li Manman: "Thank you for saving my wife, if you need anything in the future, feel free to call me."

Li Manman took the business card from Jiang Mingheng’s hand and glanced at the name on it: "Alright Mr. Jiang, we’ll be on our way then."

As they passed by each other, Jiang Mingheng cast a profound gaze at Mu Yan.

Li Manman hooked her arm with Mu Yan’s and walked out of the hospital lobby: "I’m so hungry."

"You should change your clothes first, then we can find a place to eat."

Li Manman looked down at her clothes stained with blood, walked to the back of the car, and opened the trunk: "Let me change clothes first, wait for me a bit."

Mu Yan smiled and nodded: "Okay, I’ll wait for you in the car."

Li Manman took the clothes she had just bought at the mall and went straight to Han Xi’s office. When she pushed the door open, there was no one in the room, guessing that girl might still be in surgery.

Li Manman locked the door behind her, walked to the window and pulled the curtains shut before she started changing clothes.

After changing clothes, Li Manman put the bloodstained clothes in a paper bag and washed off the dried blood on her arm, then pushed the door open to leave the office.

Getting into the car, Li Manman fastened her seatbelt and looked up at Mu Yan sitting in the passenger seat: "Let’s just eat at a nearby restaurant."

"I’m fine with anything, it’s up to you," Mu Yan replied with a smile, putting away her phone.

"I know a nice Western restaurant nearby, I’ll take you there to try it out."

Saying this, Li Manman turned the steering wheel, leaving the hospital.

The Western restaurant is just around the corner from the hospital, it only took five or six minutes to drive there. The two of them got out of the car together and entered the restaurant.

At this point, there were almost no diners left. They found a spot casually, and after ordering, Li Manman handed the menu to the server: "Please bring us a bottle of freshly squeezed juice."
