Chapter 418 - 418: Are You Sure?

Up until now, John hadn't realized that there was a fundamental misunderstanding between him and Angela. He had confused two distinct teachings: Grand Theft and Immortal Morality.

At first glance, their names sounded similar, but there was a vast difference between the two.

John had always assumed his teacher was the source of his teachings, but the truth was, it was Angela who had told him about Immortal Morality, though he hadn't known the exact name. He had thought it was simply "Immortal Morality."

It was indeed an extraordinary concept—controlling the laws of the world and stealing the wisdom of nature. That part had amazed him. But one particular discipline, "Escaping should be the top priority no matter what happens," didn't sit right with him. It seemed ill-suited to someone with his ambitions.

But John didn't give it much thought. Not realizing his misunderstanding, Angela didn't bother clarifying the situation. She was content, letting John explore the concept on his own.

Meanwhile, John's sisters returned as he was talking with Queenie, their faces lighting up in joy when they saw him. However, they quickly composed themselves, noticing Queenie's cold demeanor.

"Welcome back, John," they said, their voices polite but distant.

It was clear they were following Queenie's instructions to treat John more coolly. Queenie had ordered them to do so in order to maintain control over John. It was a subtle yet effective method.

John, fully aware of their intent, chuckled softly. "I'll make sure to satisfy you all since you really want that."

Despite his power as the King of Horizon, when it came to his sisters, John was still the little brother.

Later that night, Kate couldn't help herself and snuck into John's room. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she approached him. "Let me kiss you, the King of Horizon."

John, though surprised, looked at her seriously. "Don't do this. My wife would be unhappy."

Kate placed her hands on her hips, scoffing. "Am I not your wife? You said you would marry your sisters when you were younger. So, I'm your wife now."

She pouted and spoke with playful defiance, but John could see the slight teasing in her words.

John grew worried, wondering if his sisters were trying to play him. He had just been with Queenie, and now this? He was genuinely unsure what to do, but he hoped someone would offer him some help. His mind was filled with concern.

Kate, seeing his hesitation, pressed on, "I'm not just going to kiss you today. I'm going to sleep with you, and I don't think you can refuse. Humph!"

John shook his head, trying to defuse the situation. "No, please, because you're not quiet when you sleep."

He paused, realizing his slip-up. Kate's face flushed immediately.

John, aware of the delicate nature of their relationship, had remembered the time when Kate had sleepwalked into his room. That night had been a nightmare for John, and though Kate had left in secret the next morning, John was fully aware of what had happened.

Kate, feeling embarrassed, tried to play it off. She had always been outspoken and bold, but this time, she was clearly self-conscious about the events of that night.

She attempted to cover up her shyness but was met with John's knowing gaze.

Finally, after a long pause, she blurted out, "How could you look at me like that? I didn't do it on purpose!"

John, with a teasing smile, responded, "Really? I don't think you ever stopped thinking about it."

Kate had no retort and simply muttered, "Well, I've done it once, so I'll do it again. To punish you."

Without another word, she climbed into bed with John, clearly intent on following through with her teasing.

John, frustrated and irritated, sighed deeply. "Don't you fear me?"

Kate, with a flirtatious smile, turned to look at him. "Can you make me fear you?"

John's face darkened as he stared at her. Was she seriously challenging him?

Kate, aware of John's frustrations, knew he had a unique ability due to his divine skills. No one else had the same power as him, but she and Angela were the only ones who truly understood the extent of it.

John's face turned grim. Could he really let this happen? Could he let her push him this far?

Before John could respond, there was a sudden squeak from the door.

And then, Alice casually walked in, as if she were entering her own room. When she saw Kate already on John's bed, she grinned wickedly. "Well, someone else is here," she said, amused.

Without hesitation, Alice locked the door behind her and licked her lips. "That's fine. We can do it together!"

John's heart sank. What had he gotten himself into?

With a concerned expression, he asked, "What are you going to do, Alice?"

Alice, completely nonchalant, replied, "Just for the cultivation. Do you think you can stop us?"

Her words, identical to Kate's, only served to further frustrate him.

Just as things seemed to be spiraling out of control, the door creaked open once more. This time, it was Queenie, who, upon seeing the three of them in his room, was momentarily stunned.

She quickly regained her composure, her cold voice cutting through the tension. "Childish. It's not even fun to play with an impotent man."

Her words sent a chill down John's spine, and for a moment, he was left speechless.
