Chapter 567 -26 Elizabeth’s Beautiful Fantasy_2

Xu Mo sheathed his twin swords and held them in his hands as the Mechanical Body scanned the crowd around him before turning and heading into the training room.

“Overestimating himself,” Sal remarked coldly, casting a glance at Douglas that dripped with sarcasm, before following Xu Mo out.

After they had left, the place was abuzz with shock and speculation. Who was this student who had shown such strength, completely dominating Douglas?

Sal, following his training, seemed to hold him in high regard.

No one from the Sasi Kingdom had been heard of holding a higher status than Sal at Lucas University. Could it be that the person wasn’t from the Sasi Kingdom?

Many had begun to speculate about which genius of Lucas University it was, as such combat power in a Transcendent was rare even there.

Douglas left with his followers, too embarrassed to remain there any longer.

However, he was determined to find out who his opponent was.

The onlooking crowd gradually dispersed as well, but the battle had caused quite a stir in the Extraordinary Department and rumors spread.

The noble young master of Lucas Star had been brutally beaten twice, the first time ending in hospitalization, and the second with a crushing humiliation.

Elizabeth lingered, not ready to leave just yet, as Ize and Carter approached her. “Can you tell who it was?” Elizabeth inquired.

“I’ve been wondering myself, but I can’t figure it out,” Carter shook his head. His first suspicion had been Xu Mo, but now it didn’t seem likely. Xu Mo probably wasn’t that strong.

“I can’t make it out either,” Ize shook his head as well.

Elizabeth appeared contemplative, then said, “You two go ahead.”

“And you?” Carter asked, puzzled. Elizabeth wasn’t planning on leaving yet.

“Such a figure shouldn’t be used by Sal. If he’s after some sort of benefit from Sal, I can provide that too. And this is Lucas Star; there’s no need to look farther afield.” Elizabeth stated her thoughts.

Could this person be stronger than Xu Mo, who knew how to defeat Douglas?

Thinking of how Xu Mo dared to toy with her made her furious. If she could win this person over, what would be the need to bother with Xu Mo?

Carter knew Elizabeth well; she had a wide network at school and always sought to associate with the exceptionally talented. Seeing such a figure, naturally, she had the intention to win them over.

“Ize, you go back first; I’ve got something else to do,” Carter said to Ize.

“I have something as well. You go ahead,” Ize responded, both casting contemptuous glances at each other.

Idiot.

Fool!

“You guys go ahead. Since the person intends to keep their identity hidden, having too many people might cause them discontent,” Elizabeth continued.

“Alright,” Carter finally nodded and left, with Ize leaving soon after. Only Elizabeth remained, waiting in the area.

Night had fallen when Xu Mo finally emerged from the training room. Clad in black Battle Armor, he was shrouded in darkness, only visible under the artificial lights.

Xu Mo quickly sensed Elizabeth’s presence, and found it odd – why was she still here?

Nevertheless, he didn’t bother with her and left on his own.

Elizabeth quietly followed. After a distance, Xu Mo stopped and turned around.

Elizabeth didn’t hide, walking towards him step by step until she stood before Xu Mo.

Under the veil of night, Xu Mo’s gaze seemed to exert a subtle pressure on Elizabeth.

“I mean no harm,” Elizabeth began, “Princess Elizabeth of Lucas Star. Since you’re a student at Lucas University, you should know me.”

Xu Mo continued to watch her without a response.

The silence put a slight strain on Elizabeth.

“Although I don’t know why you’re helping Sal, I think that here at Lucas University, compared to Sal, I can offer you much more assistance,” Elizabeth said, continuing her attempt to sway Xu Mo.

Xu Mo remained silent, but to Elizabeth, it seemed as if he was contemplating.

Xu Mo was indeed considering his response. He hadn’t expected to encounter Elizabeth again under a different guise; the princess of Lucas Star seemed quite intent on recruiting allies.

This also gave him a strange idea, should he interact with her as Xu Mo, or would it be more suitable to interact with her using his current mysterious identity?

Previously, Elizabeth’s attitude towards him had always been to try to buy him off as a servant, which might have had something to do with Zero.

But now, it seemed indeed worth considering to adopt a different identity to engage with Elizabeth.

Xu Mo stepped forward, standing in front of Elizabeth. Her eyes showed a slight change, but she still stood there, unmoving.

“Princess Elizabeth, what do you want?” Xu Mo rasped.

Elizabeth, hearing the use of a false voice, felt it odd. Could it be someone she knew? Or perhaps he feared that she would recognize his voice in the future.

“I wish to befriend your excellency.” Elizabeth replied.

“Be more concrete.” Xu Mo pressed on.

“I truly wish to make friends with your excellency,” Elizabeth said earnestly, “but if your excellency doesn’t believe me, then let’s start with something concrete. Could you help me enhance my combat power, like Sal does?”

“What can I gain?” Xu Mo asked.

“What do you want?” Elizabeth countered.

Xu Mo looked at Elizabeth’s face, then leaned in a little closer, causing Elizabeth to frown and show signs of displeasure. Her pride would not allow her to offer her beauty as a term; it would be an insult to her.

“Your excellency…”

She had just begun to speak when Xu Mo reached out and plucked something from her hair.

“You…” Elizabeth looked at Xu Mo.

“The princess has a white hair.” Xu Mo’s voice was still hoarse as he handed the hair to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth’s face was now visibly annoyed.

His behavior was indeed somewhat presumptuous.

“I’ll take this strand of hair, if that’s alright?” Xu Mo said.

Elizabeth showed a hint of surprise. Just one strand of hair?

“Is that a yes, or a no?” Xu Mo continued to ask.

“It’s fine.” Elizabeth answered.

“I don’t want anyone to know about this, and I mean anyone. How can I be certain that Princess will not betray me?” Xu Mo said.

“The training ground will be set up in my palace at Lucas University. I guarantee on the Royal Family’s honor that no one will leak the secret,” Elizabeth said. Though she still didn’t know Xu Mo’s purpose, she could first make contact, then draw him to her side.

Boosting her strength was secondary; the key was to win over a genius of such caliber.

“Good, I shall visit the Princess tomorrow night.” Xu Mo spoke, then turned and left.

Elizabeth watched Xu Mo’s retreating figure, a hint of pleasure flickering in her proud eyes.

The first step was achieved, the rest should be much easier.

If she had more contact with him, she didn’t believe he could escape from her grasp.

Content with the thought, Elizabeth turned and left.

She was already looking forward to their meeting tomorrow night.

“Xu Mo!” Elizabeth murmured, feeling irritated at the thought of that man. Despite her personal efforts to win him over, she was played by him and Zero.

Now, with this mysterious and powerful individual by her side, what was Xu Mo in comparison?

In the future, she would have to lower the conditions offered to him.

Elizabeth’s mood was exceptionally delightful; it was indeed a wonderful day.

She was very excited!
