The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot-Chapter 197: Combing the Little Girl’s Hair
"Brother, I’m sleepy."
Holly Sawyer yawned, she slowly spoke, her voice carrying a hint of exhaustion.
It was quite late already, and Holly was feeling a bit tired, somewhat wanting to sleep.
"Do you want to sleep here?"
Leo Grant asked, Holly had stayed here a few nights before.
Holly shook her head, she still wanted to go back to the other side, she didn’t really like it here.
"Then let’s go back, hmm?"
Leo gently rubbed Holly’s head, his voice light and soft.
The little girl was sleepy, so he would accompany her back.
"Can you leave here?"
Holly craned her neck to look at the guests inside, yawning.
The guests hadn’t left yet, and it seemed a bit out of place for Leo, the host, to suddenly leave.
It’s customary for the host to stay with the guests until the end.
"It’s fine, I’ll speak to Grandpa, you wait here, be good, okay?"
Leo pinched Holly’s cheek gently, his voice soft and tender, then turned around to find Elder Grant.
Holly stood in place waiting for Leo, she looked at the floor somewhat bored, yawning.
She really felt sleepy.
"Are you sleepy? Want to go back together?"
Stella Jacobs came over, accompanied by a few girlfriends, holding a bunch of keys, she looked at Holly and asked.
She had stopped living in the Grant Family’s old house quite early, living outside, not far from where Leo and Holly lived.
Holly stood not far from the door, and as Stella planned to leave, she happened to see Holly as she reached the door.
"No, I’ll wait for Leo."
Holly shook her head and said.
"Alright."
Stella didn’t say anything else, leaving with the girlfriends.
"Let’s go, we’ll head back."
In just a moment, Leo came out, casually wrapping an arm around Holly’s shoulder, his voice spoiling and gentle.
Holly asked, "Did Grandpa agree?"
Leo nodded, "Yes."
Elder Grant liked Holly very much, upon hearing she was sleepy, promptly urged Leo to leave.
The wind outside was really cold, as soon as Holly stepped out, she felt more awake, curling herself up in Leo’s embrace.
"In the future, I won’t let you go out at night."
Leo held Holly tighter, putting her hat on, speaking slowly, in a soft tone.
The little girl was afraid of the cold, getting sick would be bad.
The night wind was exceptionally cold, the coldest, easy for the little girl to catch a chill outside.
Holly looked up at Leo, "Why?"
"It’s so cold at night, what if you catch a cold, my little darling?"
Leo held Holly even tighter, his voice hinting at pleasure.
Holly nodded, "Okay."
The wind was really cold outside.
As soon as Holly got into the car, she fell asleep, really feeling tired, not knowing why it was so easy to get sleepy in the evening.
Leo watched Holly asleep, his lips curling into a gentle smile.
The little girl was truly sleepy.
---
Holly woke up again the next morning, she rubbed her eyes, put on plush slippers, and walked outside.
The kitchen was filled with a fragrant aroma, Leo was busy inside making breakfast.
"Awake so early?"
Leo saw Holly and gave a slight smile, asking.
The little girl woke up quite early today, it was only just past seven, normally she wouldn’t wake before eight, usually only getting up at noon.
Modern young people, when not working, tend to sleep late, especially on weekends, getting up around noon.
Holly didn’t do much, just played, usually staying up late every day.
"Well, I slept a bit too much last night."
Holly stood at the kitchen door, speaking slowly, in a light tone.
Indeed, she fell asleep as soon as she got into the car, and when they arrived home, Leo carried her inside.
Normally, her sleep was light, but before Leo, she slept deeply, without waking.
"Go wash up, we’ll have breakfast soon."
Leo gazed affectionately at Holly.
He intended to finish making breakfast and then head to work, not expecting Holly to wake up so early.
Breakfast was always prepared by him, kept warm in the microwave, for Holly to eat upon waking.
How could he bear to let his little girl go hungry, of course, he prepared breakfast early, waiting for her to eat when she got up.
Her little hands were pale and delicate, not suited for kitchen work.
"Alright."
Holly nodded and went to wash up.
Now, she truly felt her life was wonderful, her mood always excellent because of Leo’s presence.
With Leo, it’s the best.
She held infinite aspirations for the future, considering it promising.
Her past life, aside from playing and eating, didn’t hold much hope for the future, now she did, because her future included Leo.
"Your hair’s a mess, do you have a hair tie? I’ll fix it for you."
Holly hadn’t brushed her hair in the morning, it was a bit of a mess.
Leo helped tidy Holly’s hair, asking gently.
For so long, he hadn’t helped Holly with her hair, somewhat neglectful; these things he also had to learn.
He had many things to learn; the more he learned, the less tired Holly would be, allowing him to truly care for her.
As long as he knew more, he could pamper Holly and turn her into a "little lazy."
"I’ve got one here."
Holly stretched out her hand, a black hair tie on her wrist, speaking slowly.
She liked keeping the hair tie on her wrist, so she could find it quickly when needed.
"I’ll go upstairs to get a brush."
Leo gently ruffled Holly’s head, making her hair even messier.
"Okay."
Holly nodded and obediently sat on the sofa, waiting for Leo to come down.
Her heart felt sweet; every time Leo treated her well, her heart turned sweet.
When Leo came down, he held a small pink brush in his hand.
"Why did you get this pink one?"
Holly blinked; the pink brush was small, given as a gift when she shopped online, casually left on the dressing table.
There were many brushes on the dressing table; she mostly used wooden ones.
"Because it’s pretty, like a little girl’s pink sweetness."
Leo smiled slightly as he spoke.
Little girls mostly liked pink, sweet things; so did Holly, so Leo picked a pink one.
Holly was silent.
Leo walked over to Holly, clumsily brushing her hair; having never brushed a girl’s hair before, Leo’s movements appeared awkward.
Afraid of hurting the little girl, his actions were exceptionally gentle.
