Chapter 566: Entities Within Coffins

Henry began moving towards a certain direction, towards the very core of the dungeon. He believed that just like the ruins that they had encountered before, this dungeon was also possessing mysteries of its own.

As he approached the core of the dungeon, Henry finally began detecting something that he had not noticed before. Previously, since he was simply focusing on hunting monsters, he did not pay much attention to the aura that was being released within the dungeon.

He could tell that the aura was extremely faint. But even then, with his senses, he was capable of detecting it. Of course, he had to focus before he could find the source of the aura. Currently, he was approaching the core of the dungeon, and the source of the aura came from the very center of the core of the dungeon.

Without hesitation, he immediately teleported to the area. There was no need for him to walk to that place, when he could simply teleport there. The moment that he arrived at the area that was giving out the aura, he realized that it was a ruin.

Of course, this was not the first time that Henry was encountering a ruin within the dungeon. Previously, he had been simply focusing on dealing with the monsters that he even did not care much about the presence of the ruins within the dungeon.

But now that he was paying attention, he realized that there was something special about the ruins in this area. It looked like a devastated city.

The majority of the buildings in this area had been destroyed, and vegetation had already occupied the city. But even then, it was not impossible for him to be able to see the outline of the buildings, although they had been already destroyed to a level that was impossible to repair.

Since he was currently outside of the city, Henry began moving towards the center of the city. That was the area that he could detect the presence of the aura. He did not teleport directly there, considering that he was not sure about what he could miss if he did something like that.

As he approached the center of the city, the strength of the aura that he was detecting kept on increasing. And finally, when he arrived in front of a huge building, he realized that he had finally arrived at the source of the aura.

The building in front of him was like a huge stadium. Although it had already collapsed, but it was definitely in a better condition as compared to the other buildings within the city. The thing that stood out the most about this building was the fact that the vegetation had not managed to encroach into this area.

The area surrounding this building, covering a radius of more than 30 m was not covered in vegetation, and it seemed that the area was just recently destroyed. But even then, Henry definitely did not believe something like that.

Henry did not hesitate to approach the stadium-like building. He approached the entrance that was currently shut, despite the fact that the humongous double doors were in a quite poor condition.

After taking a deep breath, Henry used his strength to push the double doors. The huge double doors that possessed dimensions of about 70 m in height, and 10 m in width began opening with a screeching sound.

The moment that the doors opened, Henry finally realized what was inside. Inside here, it was as if he was entering another world. Completely different from the devastated world outside, inside the stadium-like building was a lush forest.

Although he could already see the end of the forest from the high area that he was currently in, he could not see what was within the forest considering that the trees had grown by a huge margin, preventing him from seeing the ground within the forest.

Henry then realized that the aura that he had been detecting before had suddenly multiplied. It was clear that the aura that he was detecting did not come from a single entity at this moment, but instead, it came from many entities.

After hesitating for a moment, Henry released his energy and covered the entire forest. The moment that he did that, he suddenly realized that there were several coffins that were present within this area.

Each and every coffin was emitting an aura that he had been detecting before. It was clear that there was something that was locked within the coffins.

This was such a strange situation. Henry had never encountered something like this, even with his experience as a supreme being in his previous life. Of course, he could already tell what the coffins were used for, but with his current abilities, it was impossible for him to be able to tell what was actually within the coffins.

He could tell that it was definitely something that was living, but even then he could not tell the race of the entities within the coffins. This was something that could have made many people hesitate.

But even then, he went ahead and entered into the forest. He did not teleport, just in case there was a trap. At the same time, he prepared himself to teleport away, in case there was going to be an attack that he could not handle.

Finally, just after about a minute of walking into the forest, Henry managed to find the first coffin. After taking a deep breath, he went ahead and touched it. Since he already knew what the coffin was, he already possessed the method that could be utilized in opening it.

Additionally, the moment that he touched the coffin, the ability of the system which enabled him to be able to learn how to utilize a certain item or tool was activated. And with that, he was capable of operating the coffin, considering that this was definitely not the normal coffin that was used to bury the dead before the apocalypse descended into this world.

Placing his hand on the lid of the coffin, he mobilized the energy within his body. The moment that his energy left his body through his hand, it was immediately absorbed by the coffin.

Then in the next moment, the coffin began lighting up with a red light. Then in the next moment, the intensity of the light intensified, that it would have forced many people to squint their eyes. Henry was capable of seeing within that light, due to his current capabilities.

Finally, after about 5 seconds, the red light receded back into the coffin. Then in the next moment, the lid of the coffin was suddenly blown upwards.

"Finally! It has been so many years, and I can finally come out. I do wonder how many things have changed, and if we can actually survive." A young man sat up within the coffin as he stated. He began looking around curiously, before finally focusing on Henry.

This young man possessed wavy black hair that reached his shoulders, and black eyes that looked bottomless. He was currently wearing a plain green robe.

"Well, I never expected that you are the one that was going to wake me up. Since you have woken me up from my slumber, and you are a human, it implies that somehow, humans in this world have survived the tragedy." The young man stated. His voice was kind of cracked, indicating that he had not spoken for a long time.

But that was to be expected, considering that he was locked within the coffin, and he had just said that it had been a long time ever since he had been locked within it.

Henry did not say anything, and simply observed the person in front of him. At that moment, information about a young man was presented in front of him.

[Lucian

Power level: Level 9 divine rank

Profession: SS- grade Necromancer

Affinity: Dark element

Skills: Mass summon, Zombie transformation, Corpse mutation, Undead Synthesis....]

Looking at the information that was displayed in front of him, Henry could not help but be surprised. He had not expected that the first person that he was going to encounter after opening the coffin was actually going to be a level 9 divine rank expert.

Additionally, this was definitely the first time that he was encountering a person that possessed the profession, necromancer, of such a high level. It was not as if he had not encountered any necromancer before, but the one that he had encountered was one that possessed an S-grade profession. This was something that limited that person from being able to reach the divine rank.

It seemed that the majority of the humans possessed some kind of prejudice towards the necromancer profession. Otherwise, it was definitely impossible for there to not be even a single person that had reached the divine rank, and possessed the necromancer profession.

Lucian looked at Henry and realized that the other guy seemed lost in his thoughts. He could not help but frown, completely displeased by the fact that this guy was completely ignoring his presence. Did he not know that he was a level 9 divide rank expert?

With some hint of curiosity, he tried looking at the current power level that Henry possessed. Henry’s current power level was definitely going to tell him a thing or two about the current world.

But the moment that he tried looking at the power level that Henry possessed, he was completely dumbstruck when he suddenly realized that he could not tell the power level possessed by Henry.

It was not as if this was the first time that he had experienced something like this, but instead, he had already experienced that several times. But of course, that was before he reached level 9 of the divine rank. But ever since he had reached level 9 of the divine rank, something like this had never happened. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"Who are you?" Finally, Henry asked. He was quite curious about the origin of this young man in front of him. Of course, although he was referring to him as a young man, Henry believed that he was definitely older than him.
