The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 240: Light Spar
"Amara," Neraxis called out with a wide smile. "It's a pleasure to see you. It has been a while, hasn't it?"
"I can't say I share the same pleasure, Lagus," Amara replied in an ominous tone, narrowing her eyes. "I've always thought something was off about you, but every single time, I dismissed it because I thought I could trust my judgment."
"There's no problem with your judgement. If it makes you feel any better, I only found out about the Eternal Sin shortly after the Stradon Fortress incident," Neraxis assured. "Look, Amara, I don't want to fight you."
"You're going to have to fight me." Amara shrugged, and before he could protest, she appeared right in front of him.
So be it. Neraxis sighed as he unsheathed his rapier and, in the very next moment, thrust it forward.
The two blades clashed, and for once, Neraxis didn't feel like he was being overwhelmed.
However, judging by Amara's obvious lack of struggle, he knew she was still much stronger.
But that doesn't mean I'm going to let her kill me.
He eased up on the rapier, allowing her sword to get closer to him.
However, before it could make contact, Neraxis gently weaved around it and appeared right beside Amara.
She obviously tracked his movements, but that didn't stop him from using a certain set of skills.
{Expert Stab} and {Atomic Stab}.
The rapier shot out right toward her abdomen at lightning speed, but of course, it only took her a moment to bring her sword down to block.
However, despite her great strength, a thrust with that much force made her skid backward as a frown appeared on her face.
"You've reached SSS rank, haven't you?" Amara asked, puzzled. "It's only been a few days since you left us at what, A+ rank? This progress is a bit unbelievable... unless you've taken Lagus's powers."
"I've become a vampire," Neraxis shrugged. "Also, I can't defeat you if that's what you're wondering, but if you really want to go through with this fight, then I can, at the very least, give you a serious injury."
Instead of responding, Amara once again vanished from sight, but of course, he was still able to track her.
After all, while his {Primordial Presence: Foresight} hadn't worked well against Evangeline, it was flawless against Amara.

He could see his head being lopped off, but before it could happen, Neraxis teleported right behind her, and using that moment of surprise, delivered a powerful kick right to the side of her head.
Amara immediately shot to the side, leaving behind her sword in the process.
It was merely floating, and he could feel a faint connection with it.
However, it also felt dangerous, so Neraxis didn't bother to test his limits by touching it.
Nonetheless, he began walking toward the staggered Amara, who, with a frown, began rubbing her red cheek and glaring at him with hatred.
"Neraxis couldn't do that to me," Amara remarked and stretched out her hand.
In the next moment, the sword that had been hovering beside him flew back into her grasp.
"Your attacks lack killing power. However, your precision is something the previous Neraxis didn't have. Tell me, you said you found out about the Eternal Sin during the Stradon Fortress incident, right? Then how did it happen?"
"He showed me memories," Neraxis replied flatly. "Remember that time after my first mission? You said there was an emergency, but in the same moment, I received a memory from the Eternal Sin."
"Hmm..." Amara fell into thought as her eyes narrowed. "I thought you said you only found out about Lagus during the Stradon Fortress?"
"Yes, I found out he was the one giving me those memories. They had nothing to do with him, but ever since Stradon Fortress, I've been seeing more stuff," Neraxis stated. "Obviously, I didn't see anything related to Delta or you. The only thing I saw were his final moments, right before he destroyed the tower and regressed."
"And he regressed inside your body?" Amara asked.
Neraxis shook his head. "He regressed with my body. He used a skill to wind back time to a few days before you and I met."
He didn't really mind sharing some future knowledge with her.
After all, what good would it do him if he hid it?
Amara furrowed her brows as she tilted her head. "So you're from the future?"
"A different future, but yes, I am. And from what I've seen of these memories, there were plenty of Neraxis's before me. Each of their purposes was to become a vessel for the Eternal Sin," Neraxis replied.
"This is a bit..." Amara trailed off with a sigh before slashing the air.
The moment she did, a being stepped out of the portal—none other than Delta.
Her clear crystal green eyes seemed as though they were evaluating him.
And soon, she spoke.
"An anomaly indeed... Do you have any recollection of the events prior to Lagus's regression? Such as what he did inside the tower?"
"He destroyed it and issued edicts to the administrators and the other sins, and then gave the order for the changes to remain despite the timeline," Neraxis explained patiently. "As I said, I'm affiliated with him not by my choice, nor do I know what happened even further back."
"Clearly." Delta sighed. "You're not Lagus, I can see that much just from how you carry yourself. But of course, now that I pay better attention to you, I can feel him inside you."
Neraxis raised a brow. "Then can you get him out?"
Delta shook her head. "He's dormant, but I can't directly kill him. If I were to kill you, then he'd just simply switch to another body, and the long process of searching for him would once again begin. But of course, I can help you get rid of him once and for all."
"Let me guess... mental exercises?" Neraxis said with a sigh. "I've already begun doing them."
Despite his know-it-all answer, Delta's lips curled into a small grin.
"Not exactly..." she trailed off, her grin widening.
"I have a little unique main skill called deletion. Do you want to give it a try?"
