[Neraxis's POV]

He watched her memories in complete silence.

At first, it all seemed so innocent, a potential new groupmate he couldn't remember, and then it turned out to be so much more.

The love he had felt for Alice? It was actually directed to this Zaria girl whom he recognized as Zed.

Not only did they sleep together, but she was also the person he remembered—the same person who was tortured by the government.

But what he didn't know was the fact that she was turned into the chimera and was responsible for his grave injuries near the end.

Neraxis proceeded to watch the rest of the memories unfold, and they weren't as interesting as he'd expected.

Alice no longer had that synchronization with Zaria, however, she had turned into a sadistic bitch anyway.

Before her death, she wanted nothing but to end his suffering, but after returning, she wanted to prolong it.

And the way she wanted to do that was by making him fall in love with her.

But there's no way I'd ever do that, Neraxis scoffed as he finished with the memories.

She was knocked out by now since it had taken a few hours, but despite that, he had gotten what he came for.

The plan to kill the Sovereigns.

He had learned about their cores and the fact that they were scattered in the hearts of their territories, which meant that accessing them was nearly impossible.

Alice knew that and still tried setting up some kind of ragtag group, then sent them toward those cores like cannon fodder.

One such person was that lightning dude, Kyle, all the way back from the tournament.

He seemed to have fallen head over heels for Alice, but even then, it was some kind of ploy she'd done by simply using the memory override skill.

And of course, this time, it didn't have such a thing as lifeforce cost, so she could permanently spam it.

The reason she hadn't used it on him was simply because his strength was way above hers, which caused her attempts to fail before they could even reach him.

Neraxis stood back up and looked down at the figure below him.

She slept quietly despite all she'd done. It was just horrid.

A person who stole their friend's man, manipulated him over the years, and lastly, was hell-bent on killing him.

"You're even more psychotic than I thought, Alice," Neraxis said, clear disappointment in his tone.

He brought his foot back and then swiftly struck her in the abdomen, causing her to slam into the wall behind the toilet.

Alice immediately shot awake, her gaze trembling.

"...How much did you see?" Alice asked.

"Enough," Neraxis replied, shrugging. "I'm surprised. Honestly. I'm so surprised right now that I'm not sure if killing you will even make it any better."

A faint smile tugged at Alice's lips. "Does that mean...?"

"Nope." Neraxis chuckled, leaning down toward her and placing his finger on her forehead. "You're still going to die."

With that, he disintegrated her body. However, she obviously respawned soon after.

Therefore, for all the pain she has caused him, Neraxis decided to continuously disintegrate her.

Tens, hundreds, thousands of times, until eventually, she didn't even speak a word.

He didn't mind being cruel, especially to people like her.

After all, she's caused so much hurt to others, even during the time she had still been manipulating him.

Countless families separated all because she wanted what she couldn't have.

But that's going to end now, Neraxis thought as he picked Alice up by the neck and placed her on the toilet seat.

Her eyes were dazed from all the torture, but he didn't care.

He slapped her a couple of times, making sure she regained her composure.

And the moment she did, he smiled, causing her to flinch.

"You've lived a shit life, Alice. Therefore, I'll give you a shit death."

With those words, Neraxis focused on her blood.

Since it was practically his blood because of his vampiric bloodline, he was able to perfectly trace every single vessel of her blood.

And then, with a mere thought, he took back all the blood he had given her.

Immediately, she began spazzing out, foaming at the mouth.

No blood spilled. After all, she no longer had any blood left in her body.

"W-Wait! I can still be useful!" Alice yelled at the top of her lungs.

However, when she realized her words weren't coming through to him, she simply scoffed, letting out a psychotic laugh.

"Hahaha! This won't be the end. I'll come back just as I've always done."

Even as her body failed, she still had the gall to spew bullshit.

"Goodbye, Alice," Neraxis stated coldly and watched as her body slowly began shriveling up.

Just in case something unexpected happened, he had marked her with his mana so that he could find her at any given moment.

Not just her body, but her mana signature itself—which meant it was basically impossible to escape his sight unless she reincarnated.

Therefore, Neraxis continued watching as her expression contorted, tears began to fall, and finally, her body fell lifelessly on the toilet seat.

Unlike the previous times, she didn't respawn. In fact, her mana didn't exactly have anywhere to go, so it simply dissipated into the air.

But for good measure, Neraxis proceeded to use Destruction on the entire 1-kilometer area around him.

Of course, he didn't eliminate any people—just all the mana in that particular area.

Nonetheless, Neraxis looked around, making sure he didn't miss anything. And finally, as the final precaution, he placed a finger on Alice's body and completely melted it down.

Immediately, a pop-up appeared, notifying him of her death.

As little as he trusted the system, since it had notified him of Alice's death, then he could at the very least relax for now.

Surprisingly, he felt actually satisfied after killing her. It was almost like a massive weight was lifted off his chest.

It was to the point where he wished he had done it sooner.

She was such a burden on his mind, but now that she was gone, he could finally relax.

Or rather...

I can relax after finding Zaria.
