The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion-Chapter 128: The War Ends
On the battlefield, an enormous amount of energy was released as a grey dome expanded continuously outward.
Before the dome even arrived, rapid shockwaves swept through everything, followed by rings of giant pillars of grey flames that burned through all in their path.
Then, the dome of grey energy incinerated everything, making all it touched vanish from the face of the land.
What happened to the target, the noble vampire the attack was meant for, remained a mystery.
No one, not even the noble vampires themselves, was thinking about her fate.
All eyes were locked onto the battlefield, stunned by the unbelievable, insanely powerful attack that the high demon had just unleashed as if it were nothing.
No one had ever witnessed such a powerful display in the First Tower Realm, [Solarta].
It should have been impossible for anyone to release such an overwhelming attack within [Solarta], where both level and power are strictly capped at 200.
In fact, regardless of the energy type used, there was a limit to how much energy one could channel in the First Tower Realm.
Even if someone used every last drop of their power, it wouldn't result in destruction anywhere near the scale of what Damian had just unleashed.
The attack didn't just seem to kill the noble vampire, it annihilated the entire battlefield, leaving behind only a massive crater over 150 meters in radius at its center.
The reason Damian's attack was so powerful was because it utilized the combined energy known as [Nephilim Essence], which was multiple times stronger than both [Holy Essence] and [Dark Essence] combined.
On top of that, the swords Damian wielded had powerful amplification abilities when used with their corresponding energy types.
And since [Nephilim Essence] was a fusion of both [Holy Essence] and [Dark Essence], both swords resonated with it.
This dual resonance caused the amplification effects to skyrocket, enhancing the destructive power of the attack to an unimaginable level.
After some time, the effects of the attack finally subsided.
Damian remained suspended in the sky, embodying the essence of the High Demon race, his demonic wings flapping slowly behind him as he rubbed his chin, pondering the attack he had just unleashed.
"Hmm, as I thought, it was too much. I should have used either the [Fire Essence] or the [Lightning Essence]. That would have been more than enough to finish the job," Damian muttered, pursing his demonic lips as he made a mental note.
"I shouldn't use the merged energies unless absolutely necessary... they're too dangerous."

He descended to the ground, landing in the massive crater where the noble vampire had stood before the attack.
The area had been completely transformed, now a scorched pit of melted earth, blackened rocks, and glowing lava, the aftermath of his devastating strike.
There was no sign, no remains, not even ashes, to suggest a noble vampire had ever stood there.
It seemed the attack had utterly erased them from existence.
[You have killed a Noble Vampire]
[Experience Level Reached]
[Since you have already reached the upper limit of the First Tower Realm, the experience gained will be stored until you leave the realm]
"Now then... where are the ten noble vampires she brought with her?" Damian murmured.
He expanded his senses, and in the next instant, he pinpointed their location.
His figure vanished from the air and reappeared hundreds of meters away from the crater, right where the ten noble vampires were hiding.
The moment his demonic form appeared before them, all ten vampires froze in absolute fear, unable to move under the overwhelming pressure of the High Demon's gaze.
"How about this?" Damian grinned.
"Give me one good reason why I should leave you alive."
Believe me, the ten noble vampires wanted to speak, but Damian had no intention of letting them answer.
He had already made up his mind.
He was going to kill them no matter what.
He had already killed plenty of vampires today, and sparing these ten wouldn't change anything or undo the animosity he had undoubtedly created.
So, he would simply kill them.
Golden lightning manifested around Damian's demonic arm as he continuously circulated his [Lightning Essence].
The lightning danced wildly, growing denser and more concentrated until it formed a highly condensed plasma orb above his palm, radiating extreme heat.
Without a moment of hesitation, Damian hurled the plasma orb at the center of the ten noble vampires.
And believe me when I say the vampires wanted to flee.
But they couldn't. Damian had already made sure of that by severing their legs and infecting them with a high concentration of Miasma, rendering them completely incapacitated.
The plasma orb launched with lightning speed, and upon impact, it released an immense burst of lightning energy, searing heat, and shockwave-like pressure.
A blinding golden-white flash erupted, brighter than staring directly into the sun.
A thunderous boom followed immediately, like a massive bomb detonating, unleashing waves of force laced with crackling lightning.
In an instant, the ten noble vampires caught in the blast were vaporized into ash.
Everything within the radius was annihilated by the devastating lightning strike.
[Experience Gained]
[Since you have already reached the upper limit of the First Tower Realm, the experience gained will be stored until you leave the realm]
Then again, Damian's figure blurred and transformed into a golden lightning bolt.
In a flash, like a true lightning strike, he appeared at lightning speed in front of the army of demons he had summoned.
Damian smiled in satisfaction. "Army of demons… it has quite a ring to it," he thought.
"And it feels good to command one."
"Damn, this just makes me more interested in conquering Hell for myself," Damian thought as he glanced at his faction members, Elfie, Shiru, and Sir Holloway, not far from him, staring with wide eyes and gaping mouths.
He ignored their stunned expressions and turned his attention back to his army of demons.
The war wasn't over yet, not until he had killed every last one of them.
"Bring all the remaining plebeian vampires here," Damian commanded.
In the next second, hundreds of his demons dragged in the surviving plebeian vampires, captives saved specifically for the purpose of being tortured until Damian was finished with the noble vampires.
Within moments, hundreds of half-dead vampires were dumped before the high demon like discarded trash.
As soon as the last one hit the ground, Damian activated his unique innate ability.
"Devour," Damian willed.
Instantly, a massive vortex of predatory energy, swirling with blue and violet hues, manifested above the vampires and sucked them in alive before disappearing completely into Damian's palm.
[You have devoured 476 Plebeian Vampires]
[The process of [Refinement] has been activated]
As the sub-skill of his [Devourer] ability activated, the devoured vampires were refined. Damian erased their bodies and extracted only their energy and souls.
[You have refined the Souls of 476 Plebeian Vampires]
[You have refined the [Blood Essence] of 476 Plebeian Vampires]
Even though the plebeian vampires had almost completely exhausted their [Blood Essence], there was still just enough left for Damian to extract.
Once the refinement process was complete, a dark blue orb containing the souls of the vampires and a blood-red orb containing their [Blood Essence] appeared inside Damian's [Spiritual Space], ready to be used however he wished.
As soon as Damian devoured the last vampire, the war officially ended.
A glowing announcement echoed across the First Tower Realm:
[Your war has ended]
[You have defeated the [Vampire] Faction in war]
[Reward: +1,000,000 Gold]
[As per the conditions of the war, the prisoner of the Vampire Faction, 'Arlen Ayre Dathyra,' shall be released and handed over to the [Circle of Ouroboros] Faction]
As the message concluded, a figure appeared from a speck of light and landed before Damian Ignatius, the high demon and faction leader.
The figure had dark brown hair, much like his older sister Elfie, but his appearance was pitiful, half-dead and extremely pale, as if not a drop of blood remained in his veins.
"Poor kid. The vampires did a number on him," Damian sighed and turned to his demons.
"You guys can return to Hell. But don't worry, the fun part is just being put on hold. I'll come back to Hell and resume it myself," Damian said with a grin.
In response, the demons stomped their weapons on the ground, and a massive demonic transportation circle appeared beneath them.
In the next second, they vanished, returning to the depths of Hell from which they came.
Damian sighed again, and the dark, melted patterns on his neck, formed from the crown on his head, reversed back into the crown like a snake.
The crown then flew from his head and, as if it had a will of its own, transformed into a dark speck of light before reshaping itself into a chain around his neck.
Damian took a deep breath, and in the next second, his appearance began to change once more.
[You have switched your race from [High Demon] to [High Human]]
His demonic features began to fade.
His skin turned back to a fair white, and his waist-length dark hair receded to shoulder length and shifted to a black-brown with golden accents.
His claws transformed into normal human nails, and his towering height adjusted back to seven feet and four inches.
His dark irises and pupils reverted to a human appearance, and his eyes now glowed a neon blue.
"Poor kid," Damian muttered as he gently lifted the little elf into a princess carry.
In a blink, his figure vanished and reappeared before the boy's older sister, Elfie Ayre Dathyra.
As soon as Damian appeared with her brother, Elfie's eyes widened.
She rushed to him, tears streaming down her face as she took Arlen into her arms.
"Arlen..." she whispered, voice trembling.
Shiru and Sir Holloway arrived moments later.
Sir Holloway immediately knelt beside the boy to check his condition.
"The boy has suffered severe trauma. The vampires drained him nearly dry, he's barely alive," Sir Holloway said, his tone grave. He turned to Damian.
"He needs immediate attention. We must get him to someone with healing abilities."
"Oh, I almost forgot," Damian said, raising his index finger.
A small golden energy orb, about the size of a strawberry, formed at his fingertip and shot toward the boy, landing gently on his chest.
The moment it touched him, Arlen's wounds began to heal instantly.
His body regenerated blood at an astonishing pace, color returning to his once-pale complexion.
His breathing steadied, and his form returned to a perfectly healthy state.
Slowly, the young elf opened his eyes.
"A-Arlen?" Elfie cried out, hugging her brother tightly.
The boy looked around, confused, unable to understand where he was, what had happened, or how he had even gotten there.
