’Is Kyle... not going to ask me any questions? Does he not find me suspicious?’
Theo’s mind raced with these thoughts as he looked at the omega beside him. Kyle was far too calm, not looking at him but not ignoring him either.
It made Theo feel close to the omega and away at the same time.
’Is this... truly the right thing to do? I feel like we are betraying Theo. Can we not tell him what we are going to do?’
Theo asked his other half as he looked at the omega beside him. Kyle looked so lonely that he wanted to reach out and hold him in his arms.
But when Kyle looked at Theo, the alpha felt his breath hitch, and he could not move. He was completely under Kyle’s spell and bound by his will.
’Don’t worry. Our omega will... understand. And if not, then we will find a way to make him understand later. For now, it would be best for us to keep things to ourselves. Our omega has a tendency to rush to trouble.’
Theo’s other half reminded him, and Theo sighed in agreement. That much he knew already.
He had managed to read some cases about Ace in his free time, and much to his dismay, Ace was prone to getting hurt all the time.
’If not for these humans, then Kyle won’t have to sacrifice himself again and again like this. But we also need these humans if we are to return to our rightful position. First, we need to get our powers back and fully take our revenge.’
The alpha inside Theo roared in anger as he remembered what he had to go through ever since he was young.
Up until now, he had all but blocked what happened from his brain. He no longer wanted to recall how he had been forced to be an experiment that caused one part of him to fall asleep, only to wake up once they escaped.
These humans were useful, but some of them needed to go before they became a threat.
"Hey Theo, can you tell me more about yourself? Most of my life is an open secret and out there in public, but I don’t think I ever got to know more about you. I want to know who you are."
Kyle asked, and Theo felt his breath hitch.
The fact that his omega was interested in him made his inner alpha soar in joy. He wanted to spill everything he could to the omega right then and there, but a part of him stopped him and told him to be careful.
He could not drag Kyle into his petty revenge and risk him getting hurt by something.
’W-What should I do now?’
Theo asked, and his other half sighed at his pathetic excuse before taking half control of his body.
’Let me help you. You are so pathetic in front of our omega. What if Kyle decided we are not good enough because of this?’
Knowing Kyle’s nature, that was never going to be an issue. But the ’what-if’ caused them to change their mind and not take this risk. Keeping Kyle happy was the most important thing.

I noticed the second Theo changed.
Well, changed was not the right word to say here. It was more like his other half decided to join him.
It felt like there were two people in front of me in the same body. But I was neither afraid nor disgusted by it.
All I felt was a fascination, and I wanted to know more about what was going on in front of me.

The alpha assured me as he grabbed my hand and leaned against it. His face was lying in my palm, and those huge but powerful eyes looked at me with full trust.
It almost felt like the alpha was placing his life and everything he was in the palm of my hands. A small action would be enough to crush them all.
And yet, I pulled back and sighed as I gave them an almost tired look.
"I do have a lot of questions for you. I want to know who you are, where you were born, and what you want to do. But I only want you to answer these questions if you are comfortable with them. You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to."
I assured the alpha in front of me, and he looked more and more pleased by the second.
"Don’t worry about me. I will answer any question you want me to. Please, ask away."
He told me in a reassuring voice, and I felt like he meant every word of what he said. His eagerness reminded me almost of a puppy, and I chuckled.
"I see. That makes me happy to know that you want to be as honest with me as I want to be with you. So, please tell me who you are and all you can remember about yourself. I want to know all about you."
The alpha took in a deep breath as he tried to recall what he wanted to talk about and where to start. He likely had a heavy story to tell me, and then he finally settled to opening his mouth.
"My story is neither interesting, nor something I ever thought I would tell someone else. But since you want to know, I will tell you all about it—who I am, where I came from, and what I experienced."
The alpha assured me, and I felt excited as I looked at him. Finally, I was going to know more about the alpha whom I wanted to be by my side.
"It all started in a place dominated by black and beeping noises. Those noises and the sound of people’s footsteps was all I knew for the first half of my life, and I... did not know better."
