The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 727 - 746: Have a Few More (9)
Koa Jackson’s lips twitched slightly, helplessly comforting, "Don’t worry."
"I knew you were the most obedient to your grandpa." Old Master Jackson finally felt comforted.
As he thought about it, he became worried again, with a troubled expression, "Mia, that girl is too thin. I can’t even feel at ease thinking about her having a child. How do you usually take care of her? Not a bit of flesh on that little girl."
The places where there should be flesh already have grown flesh, Koa Jackson thought silently.
Old Master Jackson patted the back of his hand, "I’m talking to you!"
"I’m listening, I understand." Koa Jackson nodded, "I will pay attention."
"Dieting cannot be a good thing," Old Master Jackson worriedly said, "Look at those female celebrities on TV, each one dieting as if they are skeletons, no beauty at all. You must remind Mia not to emulate those women, do you hear me? A girl needs some flesh, plump girls are better for childbirth."
"I know." Koa Jackson continued to nod.
"You say you know, but you turn around and throw Grandpa’s words out to the sky." Old Master Jackson remained deeply saddened.
"How could that be? You just rest assured." Koa Jackson sincerely comforted him.
The old man still wanted to speak, but the nearby watching Butler Jackson smiled and said, "It’s getting late, the old man should rest."
"I’ll help Grandpa to his room." Koa Jackson stood up and smiled toward Butler Jackson.
Finally, he carefully assisted the old man to get up.
All the way back to the room, he took care to help rinse his mouth, wrung a hot towel to help wipe his hands and face, and then assisted him to bed.
He washed his hands again and carefully closed the door for him.
Reflecting on his earlier words, he couldn’t help but chuckle, relaxed, and returned to his own room.
Mia, that little girl is hardly grown up, she’s still like a child herself, how can she have a child?
He simply couldn’t imagine her as a mother.
It would take at least a few more years for her to mature.
He walked while pondering, when suddenly the phone in his pocket rang.
Denver Petal?
Koa Jackson answered the call directly, saying, "Hello."
"Are you free?" Denver Petal inquired.
"Hmm, go ahead." Koa Jackson’s tone was calm, but his steps did not halt.
"I just wanted to ask about Josephine’s situation," Denver Petal laughed lightly and asked, "How did you get news of her today?"
"This afternoon, while going to work, I was rear-ended, she looked familiar, so I took a business card." Koa Jackson concisely explained.
"Is that so?"
"What else could it be?" Koa Jackson chuckled.
Denver Petal fell silent.
Koa Jackson seemed to hear a faint sigh and pondered slightly, asking, "So? Have you already met?"
"Yes." Denver Petal replied softly.
"What are you planning to do?"
"What?"
"Your ex-girlfriend and your current wife, how do you plan to handle it?" Koa Jackson rarely showed concern. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Suddenly thinking about Mia, and Olivia, their relationship seemed quite good.
"I don’t know." Denver Petal truthfully admitted.
He truly didn’t know; he felt deep guilt towards Josephine Holland.
When they first knew each other, they secretly dated for three years.
After finally graduating, they traveled and returned, learning the joyous news of both being admitted to prestigious schools, reaching the peak of happiness.
He did something he regretted most in his life.
Accompanied Josephine Holland to a bar to relax, and afterwards, Josephine Holland, slightly tipsy, was raped by two scumbags.
He was in the bar yet, having also drunk alcohol, was too dazed to help, subdued and powerless.
Then——
The matter escalated, went to court.
Yet due to insufficient evidence, the two scumbags were acquitted.
Afterwards, Josephine Holland disappeared.
He visited the Holland family multiple times, only to be turned away by Josephine’s parents, having no solution.
Went abroad to study law, until now, and had not seen Josephine Holland again.
Time passed, and the matter was gradually forgotten by everyone.
He seemed to have forgotten too, able to agree to his parents’ earnest requests, marrying, preparing to live the rest of his life like this.
But—
Josephine Holland suddenly returned, asking to start over.
She was the girl he had originally loved, he once made a vow at the ends of the earth to love her for a lifetime.
What could be done?
Seeing her still so cheerful and open, he even felt ashamed.
He had no face to bring up Olivia Williams’ matter.
Josephine Holland left for eight years, to heal.
Yet eight years was enough for many things to happen, he went from initially searching for her frenetically, to eventually feeling despondent, everything returned to calmness, even now, deeply burying the past, stepping out of memories.
He thought he had stepped out, unexpectedly finding that some matters were truly difficult to step out from in a lifetime.
He owed Josephine Holland so much it seemed a lifetime wouldn’t suffice to repay.
She was always healing, waiting for him.
He originally couldn’t protect her; how could he now make her disappointed again?
