The Tycoon's Mysterious Darling Wife-Chapter 501 - 504. Mr. Fu Runs Away from Home (16 more updates)
Fu Hengyi picked up his son, intending to change his clothes, but Anan waved his little hand, "I want Mommy to change."
Anan wanted his mother to change his clothes, but he could not overcome his father’s strength and was taken back to the room by Fu Hengyi. In the bedroom, Anan sat on the bed with his little hands crossed over his chest, glaring at Fu Hengyi, "Daddy, you are stealing Mommy from me again."
Fu Hengyi sat on the floor, his eyes level with his son’s, "She is my wife. Of course, she should sleep with me."
"But she is also my mommy. Why can’t my mommy sleep with me?"
"Have you ever seen your uncle sleep with his mommy?" Fu Hengyi asked calmly.
Anan frowned, struggling to comprehend, and Fu Hengyi continued, "One day, you can sleep with your own wife."
"When can I have a wife?"
"When you grow up to be my size."
"When I’m as big as you, doesn’t that mean Mommy will be called ’wife’?"
Fu Hengyi’s face darkened slightly, "...call her Mommy."
Anan frowned, "Isn’t it ’wife’? That’s what you call her."
Fu Hengyi’s face grew stern, "No, that’s my wife. You can only call her Mommy, not ’wife.’"
Seeing that Anan was about to ask more questions, Fu Hengyi stood up, "Alright, hurry up and change your clothes."
He tossed the clothes on the bed and let Anan dress himself, but Anan sat there, sulking and unmoving.
"If you don’t get dressed now, you’ll be late for school and get scolded by the teacher. Your mom and I won’t help you."
In early September, Anan had already started kindergarten.
Anan didn’t want to change clothes, but the thought of having to go to school made him grudgingly get up and put on his clothes.
When they went downstairs, Shen Qinglan had already set breakfast on the table, although she had not made it herself, "Anan, come eat. Mommy will take you to kindergarten soon."
Anan ran over with a smile, "Mommy, you haven’t said good morning to me today."
Shen Qinglan laughed, bent down, and kissed him on his little face, "Good morning, darling."
Anan tiptoed and returned a kiss on Shen Qinglan’s face, then turned and smirked at Fu Hengyi. Fu Hengyi scowled—that cheeky kid.
He walked over to Shen Qinglan and looked down at her, "Wife, I want a good morning kiss too."
Shen Qinglan rolled her eyes at him, this childish man, pushed him aside and walked straight into the kitchen to get the milk. Fu Hengyi stared somberly at Shen Qinglan’s retreating figure, his eyes shadowed.
Anan covered his mouth, giggling, earning himself a glare from Fu Hengyi.
During the meal, Anan looked up at his dad, then down, and then up again. Fu Hengyi, sitting upright and relaxed, noticed his son’s glances and spoke mildly, "Focus on eating."
Anan replied with an ’Oh’ and continued eating with his spoon.
Shen Qinglan glanced at Fu Hengyi and then looked away. Fu Hengyi looked at her, "What?"
Shen Qinglan shook her head. She couldn’t really say she thought Fu Hengyi was acting weird. He was clearly jealous of the attention Anan was getting, yet suddenly, he behaved normally, so normally that it felt abnormal.
"Mommy, I’m done," Anan put down his spoon and said to Shen Qinglan, his bowl spotlessly clean.
"Do you want more?" Shen Qinglan asked.
"I’m full."
"Since you’re full, go get your backpack. Mommy will take you to kindergarten."
"I don’t want to. I want Daddy to take me." Anan, for once, made an unusual request and looked at Fu Hengyi, "Daddy, can you take me to school?"
"Okay." Fu Hengyi uttered a word.
Anan slid off his chair by himself and ran upstairs to grab his little backpack. Shen Qinglan watched Fu Hengyi in surprise, and Fu Hengyi returned her gaze, "What?"
"What’s wrong with you?" Shen Qinglan asked in return.
"I couldn’t possibly have any problems." Fu Hengyi spoke indifferently. Shen Qinglan didn’t believe that he was fine; the man’s mood was clearly off.
Anan came down from upstairs, his small backpack in hand. "Daddy, can we go now?"
Fu Hengyi quickly finished his milk and stood up. "Let’s go."
The kindergarten Anan attended was affiliated with the Military District and was quite close by; a slow walk there took only about twenty minutes.
There was still time to spare, and Fu Hengyi didn’t take the car. He walked slowly, holding Anan’s hand. Anan bounced along, and Fu Hengyi spoke lightly, "Walk properly."
Anan responded with an "Oh" and looked up at his dad. "Daddy, can you carry me?"
Fu Hengyi didn’t pick him up. "Boys walk on their own."
"Then would you carry a girl?" Anan asked.
Fu Hengyi nodded decisively. "If you were a girl, I would carry you." If Anan were a girl, not just carrying; he could even piggyback. He thought to himself that daughters are to be doted on, but boys should not be spoiled.
So Daddy prefers girls, Anan concluded. "Then Daddy, because I’m a boy, does that mean you don’t like me?"
"I do like you, you were born through your mother’s hard labor." Fu Hengyi looked at his son, his expression earnest.
Anan didn’t grasp the deeper meaning of his father’s words and was simply happy to hear that his daddy liked him.
He looked up at his dad with big eyes full of curiosity. "Daddy, were you angry today?"
Fu Hengyi glanced down at him, wondering where all these questions were coming from, but his face showed no impatience. "No."
"Why aren’t you talking to Mommy then?" Normally during meals, Fu Hengyi would peel eggs for Shen Qinglan and pour her milk, but today he had done none of that, which was very unusual.
Although Anan was small, he noticed all of this.
Fu Hengyi was slightly stunned—was his behavior really that obvious?
"Grown-ups’ matters are not for children to worry about," Fu Hengyi said.
Anan pouted and muttered, "You adults always say that."
Fu Hengyi gave his precociously perceptive son a look and said nothing more.
After dropping his son off at the kindergarten and making sure he had gone to his classroom with the teacher, he returned home. By the time he returned, Shen Qinglan had already gone to her studio to paint.
Fu Hengyi didn’t go to find her but rather greeted Old Sir Fu, grabbed his car keys, and left. "Grandpa, I’m going out for a bit; I won’t be back for lunch."
Old Sir Fu waved his hand, not minding.
During lunch, Shen Qinglan didn’t see Fu Hengyi and asked, "Aunt Zhao, where is Fu Hengyi?"
Aunt Zhao replied, "He came back after dropping off Anan in the morning and then went straight out, saying he had things to do and that he wouldn’t be back for lunch, so we shouldn’t wait for him."
Shen Qinglan assumed Fu Hengyi had probably gone to see some friends and didn’t think much of it. After eating, she headed back to her studio. She had been working on a very large painting recently, and everyone at home knew about it. However, no one knew what exactly it was about, as Shen Qinglan wouldn’t let anyone see.

In the Han Group CEO’s office.
Han Yi looked at Fu Hengyi sitting on the sofa, raising an eyebrow, "I say, Brother, you’ve been sitting here for half the day without uttering a word. What’s up?"
Fu Hengyi briefly glanced at him, then continued looking down at his book.
"You’ve been on the same page for an hour; is the content on this page really that interesting, worthy of your repeated contemplation?" Han Yi teased Fu Hengyi, but the latter completely ignored him.
A gleam of interest flashed through Han Yi’s playful eyes, and he walked over. "Don’t tell me you had a fight with your little sister-in-law?"
Fu Hengyi glanced at him again, his gaze slightly cold. Han Yi plonked down next to him, his smile growing, "Yo, I guessed right? It’s rare for you to have a fight with the little sister-in-law. What was it about?" Han Yi’s gossipy nature instantly flared up.
"Being a big CEO with a desk piled high with documents, don’t you have to handle them?" Fu Hengyi finally spoke.
Han Yi stretched lazily. "I’ve been working most of the day; surely I’m allowed a break, I’m not a machine. Come on, tell me, did you fight with your little sister-in-law?" Han Yi was now purely interested in this.
Fu Hengyi coldly stared at Han Yi for quite a while, until Han Yi finally gave in, touching his nose, "Okay, I’ll stop asking." Getting any information out of Fu Hengyi’s mouth was indeed too difficult.
"Drinking? I recently got a great bottle of wine," Han Yi changed the topic.
"I’ll have a glass."
Han Yi stood up, walked over to his desk, opened the bottom cabinet, and after searching for a while, he took out a bottle of wine and grabbed two glasses from the wine cabinet, "I have to tell you, I went through a lot of effort to get this bottle. It’s top-notch, with an exceptional taste, I guarantee you’ve never had anything like it before."
Fu Hengyi raised an eyebrow, "It’s just a bottle of wine, why hide it so well?"
"I can’t let Xiao Xuan find out about this bottle," Han Yi whispered, even glancing towards the door, afraid that Yu Xiaoxuan might suddenly appear.
Han Yi had always enjoyed collecting fine wines and had even set up a huge wine cellar to store these treasures. Usually, he cherished them too much to drink. However, since being with Yu Xiaoxuan, Han Yi’s wine cellar had gradually emptied.
Yu Xiaoxuan was a little alcohol-lover who enjoyed various fine wines. Unfortunately, she was a rowdy drunk who liked to sing and could stay up very late. Han Yi forbade her from drinking, but she would drink secretly. After catching her several times, to prevent further sneaking, he gave away many bottles from his cellar and dared not keep any fine wines at home. His passion for collecting fine wines had been forcefully changed for Yu Xiaoxuan.
The biggest beneficiary of the emptied wine cellar was Jiang Chenxi, who got many of the fine wines Han Yi had once been reluctant to even let others see.
However, although Yu Xiaoxuan loved to drink, she never did so outside. She generally drank only when with Shen Qinglan and others or at home, so Han Yi felt assured.
Han Yi handed Fu Hengyi a glass of wine. After tasting it, Fu Hengyi nodded, "Not bad."
Han Yi had been waiting for his response and could only smile at the brief reply, "That’s all?"
"What else?" Fu Hengyi slightly raised his eyebrows.
"Tch, wasting my good wine."
Fu Hengyi then took another sip, "Tonight, let’s call up Chenxi and Gu Kai, and head to Charming Color."
Han Yi looked at him surprised, "It’s okay not to go back?"
"Qinglan isn’t that petty," Fu Hengyi said. Her mind is all on our son now, she doesn’t have time to bother about me.
If Shen Qinglan knew Fu Hengyi’s thoughts at this moment, she would definitely realize that he was still upset about something that had happened in the morning.
Fu Hengyi would absolutely not admit that he felt abandoned by his wife at a critical moment.
Han Yi didn’t mind, since Yu Xiaoxuan was at home recently and the kid was taken care of, coming home late was not really a problem.
After phoning Jiang Chenxi and Gu Kai, they set the time.
Jiang Chenxi and Pei Yinong had set their wedding date for the end of December, so recently he had been busy with the wedding preparations.
According to Pei Yinong, they could just use Jiang Chenxi’s current apartment as their marital home, but Chenxi insisted on buying a new one. Only then had Pei Yinong discovered just how wealthy Jiang Chenxi actually was.
The funds for the house came from a card Jiang Chenxi gave Pei Yinong. When she saw the amount of money in Jiang Chenxi’s account, she almost dropped her jaw and learned only then that Jiang Chenxi was a mysterious operator with a net worth exceeding a hundred million.
Their wedding date had been set in June, giving them over six months to prepare. But there were so many things to handle: purchasing a house, decoration, planning the wedding, customizing wedding dresses and suits, and picking the venue for the ceremony, and Jiang Chenxi personally oversaw all of it. Lately, Chenxi had been busy, particularly with the decoration of the marriage home, which had drained much of his energy. However, hearing that Fu Hengyi had organized this gathering, he still made time to come.
**
At night, at Charming Color, in their private lounge.
Fu Hengyi sat on the sofa, holding a glass of wine and occasionally sipping from it, his mobile phone lying next to his hand. He glanced at it from time to time, each look filled with a deep melancholy.
It had been a whole day; his phone had remained utterly silent. He hadn’t returned home all day, and Shen Qinglan hadn’t called or messaged him even once. She hadn’t asked where he went or what he was doing, as if she had forgotten about him.
Actually, Shen Qinglan hadn’t forgotten; she had learned from Yu Xiaoxuan in the afternoon that they had a gathering planned, so she didn’t call Fu Hengyi. Little did she know that Fu Hengyi had been waiting all day for her to reach out to him.
Jiang Chenxi arrived last. As he walked into the lounge, he noticed Shen Junyu was also there, and the four of them had already started playing Mahjong.
"Chenxi, you’re about to be a groom," Han Yi observed as Chenxi walked in. "Why do you look so tired?"
Chenxi collapsed onto the sofa, as he had been busy preparing for the wedding recently and was even losing sleep over it. Although both Pei Yinong’s and his parents were also busy with the wedding, it was still his and Pei Yinong’s wedding, so he hoped to handle certain tasks himself to ensure a perfect celebration.
This wasn’t just their first wedding; it was the only one they would ever have, so naturally, it had to be perfect.
Upon seeing Chenxi enter, Fu Hengyi stood up from the gaming table, "Chenxi, come join us."
Jiang Chenxi was sitting in Fu Hengyi’s spot while Fu Hengyi himself was sitting in a corner, taking another glance at his phone. No missed calls, no messages, nothing; Fu Hengyi expressionlessly put his phone away.
Women, once you have them, they really don’t know how to cherish it.
Gu Kai saw this and quietly asked Han Yi, "What’s with Brother Fu today? He’s checked his phone over ten times."
They had stayed in the private room for less than two hours, and Fu Hengyi had taken out his phone more than ten times; anybody with eyes could see something was off.
Upon hearing this, Han Yi smiled but said nothing.
He was now certain that there was definitely a conflict between Shen Qinglan and Fu Hengyi, and judging from the current situation, most likely someone was in a temper. It had to be said, Han Yi really hit the nail on the head.
Fu Hengyi asked the waiter to bring in a few bottles of alcohol and began drinking silently on his own, but the more he drank, the darker his expression became.
Shen Junyu, concerned, walked over and took the cup from his hand, "What are you doing?"
"Drinking."
Shen Junyu: ...I’m not blind, of course, I know you’re drinking.
"Having a conflict with Lanlan?" It seemed only his darling sister could make Fu Hengyi drown his sorrows in alcohol.
Fu Hengyi glanced at him, "Can’t it just be because I simply want to drink?"
Shen Junyu didn’t believe a word; they grew up together, how could he not see the changes in Fu Hengyi’s mood?
"What’s Lanlan done to you?"
"Nothing." Fu Hengyi was not willing to talk.
By nine o’clock, Jiang Chenxi decided it was time to go; he needed to get up early tomorrow to go to the furniture market. Except for Gu Kai, everyone present was married and naturally needed to get home early, but at this point...
"Chenxi, aren’t you leaving a bit early?" Han Yi spoke up.
"I have things to do tomorrow." Jiang Chenxi said gently, and Fu Hengyi stood up, "Chenxi, let’s go together."
"Hengyi, you arranged this get-together, and you’re the first to leave? That doesn’t seem right," Han Yi raised his eyebrows.
"I’m going home with Chenxi, do you want to join us?"
With those words, everyone in the room turned to look at him, including Jiang Chenxi.
"Hengyi, why are you going home with Chenxi? Aren’t you going to your own home?" Han Yi asked.
"I have something I need to discuss with Chenxi." Fu Hengyi’s expression was indifferent.
Fu Hengyi had already been acting strange tonight, and now he was even planning to not return home at all. This had moved beyond strange to downright alarming.
Everyone looked at Shen Junyu, what in the world was going on?
Shen Junyu returned their looks calmly, How would I know? I’m just as clueless as you.
Everyone was puzzled.
"Hengyi, you’re not thinking of running away from home, are you?" Han Yi’s startling words pierced right to the truth.
Fu Hengyi, who had been drinking alone for much of the night, looked somewhat pale but still steady on his feet. At Han Yi’s words, he coldly looked at him, and Han Yi touched his nose.
Fu Hengyi turned and led the way out of the private room. Jiang Chenxi glanced at the others, gave them a reassuring look, and followed him out.
"Junyu, should we call the little sister-in-law?" Han Yi asked Shen Junyu.
"No need, I’ve already called Lanlan."
Jiang Chenxi and Fu Hengyi reached the entrance of Charming Color and saw the cold, stunningly beautiful woman standing there. Jiang Chenxi instantly smiled, "Little sister-in-law."
Shen Qinglan first glanced at Fu Hengyi, then nodded and smiled at Jiang Chenxi.
"Hengyi’s been drinking a lot tonight." Jiang Chenxi explained. Fu Hengyi looked at Shen Qinglan and lowered his eyes, saying nothing.
