Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Damn, Off by a Generation_1

It was none other than those socialites who tried to throw themselves at Amadeus unsuccessful through a roundabout manner; they were left with a bellyful of frustration and slowly started spreading rumors about Edric’s bad character.

Alfred Garland looked at him puzzledly and asked, "Mr. Zachmann, don’t you know?"

I should know? Audrick Zachmann looked utterly confused, asking, "What’s going on?"

Just then, the door of the ward was opened from the outside.

Nathalie Quinlan rushed in, carrying a variety of big and small packages.

His eyes instantly widened like copper bells, and he exclaimed in astonishment, "Nathalie?"

Damn, how come his sister is here?

When he returned to the country, only Amadeus came to pick him up at the airport. Halfway through the journey, Amadeus even canceled the dinner they had planned for the evening, saying Nathalie had gone out to play.

How did the person who was supposed to be out playing end up here?

Before he could collect his thoughts, he saw the man, who had just been unenthusiastic, move faster than him. With a stride of his long legs, he took the big and small packages from the girl’s hands more thoughtfully than he, the brother, ever did, and said in a deep and enticing voice, "They’re too heavy, let me take them."

"Alright." Nathalie figured she had brought gifts for him anyway, so she didn’t play coy, handing most of the bags over to him and keeping just two paper bags from Seven, heading into the ward.

The little guy in the ward lit up when he saw her, changing from his sullen behavior toward Audrick Zachmann to being adorably obedient.

His cheeks were flushed as he poked his own hand and called out softly and sweetly, "Sister, I... I... I’ve been good and listened to you, cooperating with the doctor uncle to take my medicine. Little Uncle can testify."

After speaking, his clear, big eyes fluttered their lashes, eagerly looking at his uncle for praise, the request for acknowledgment was more than obvious.

Amadeus Yancey clicked his tongue, set down the stuff, and said in a stable voice, "Ever since I had lunch with you, when you told him to be good and listen to the doctor so he can recover faster, he has been cooperating well with the treatment. The doctor said his recovery is very good, and he’ll be able to leave the hospital in a few days."

Nathalie Quinlan’s starry eyes turned to the little guy, whose pale face with a hint of pink was adorable no matter how one looked at it. Seeing something or someone so beautiful always made her feel happier.

She walked past Audrick Zachmann, handed the little guy the bags in her hand, and patted his head, "You’ve been so good? Here, a gift."

Edric Yancey was so excited he could almost jump for joy.

Sister had bought him a gift!

A gift bought for him by Sister!

He carefully took it, eager to see what was inside. Opening the brocade box, inside was a little kitty brooch and another one was a little seahorse.

Wow, so cute!

"Do you like them?" Nathalie had never bought anything for kids before, and she didn’t know what kids liked. She guessed that a child his age would like cute things, so she chose these two. But after thinking it over, since he was a boy, she wasn’t sure if he’d like them, "Or are they too cute?"

Edric Yancey, as if clutching treasures, shook his head rapidly, "I love cute toys the most!"

Audrick Zachmann, feeling jealous, scoffed and interjected, "I thought you liked Gundam robots, tanks, and airplanes the most?"

Since when did he love cute things? Heaven knows how many toys Mr. Yancey bought for him that were just thrown into the storeroom, never to be touched.

However, his mind was starting to put things together, "The sister you mentioned, is that Nathalie?"

Damn, he’s an uncle, yet his sister is now the kid’s sister, an entire generation skipped!

Edric, who initially couldn’t be bothered with him, thought for a moment. Considering that he was Nathalie Quinlan’s brother, he deigned to spare him some attention, "Sister is Sister Nathalie. Only Sister Nathalie is my sister."
