The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1327: He hadn’t had the chance to speak when Caryn Zachmann immediately caused trouble.
"There’s a bit of a situation." Brian Bonette was trying to figure out how to talk to him.
After all, Sadam Vinson is quite stubborn and as easygoing as a donkey when treated well.
If you talk to him nicely, he’s easy to deal with, but if you trigger his rebellious streak, even if God himself comes today, he won’t give face.
So, to discuss Caryn Zachmann with Sadam, a bit of verbal skill is required. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"What’s the matter?" Sadam casually asked, not paying it much attention.
His head had already turned to the side, looking at Govert Griffin who had quit the game midway, and shouted, "Govert, what the hell are you holding your phone for? Who messaged you that you look like you’ve seen a ghost? What’s happened?"
Govert had just asked someone in the group about Mateo Gordon’s location and sent it to Amadeus Yancey.
Hearing this, he came back with a distressed expression, not hiding anything from the two, he said, "It was Amadeus. Amadeus asked me something."
"Just now it was Amadeus looking for you?" Sadam expressed surprise, raising his brows, "What did Amadeus want with you?"
Brian Bonette was originally thinking about how to slowly ease the tension between Sadam and Caryn Zachmann.
He was also surprised to hear Govert mention Amadeus Yancey’s name and looked over at Govert.
Govert explained straightforwardly, "Amadeus asked me where Mateo Gordon was."
"Mateo Gordon? Which Mateo Gordon..." Sadam and Alfred Garland both couldn’t recall anyone by that name around them.
Govert quickly explained, "He’s the youngest son of Mr. Gordon, who’s in charge of investment promotion. He’s quite close to Ms. Zachmann and even booked a box at Rivendell for Ms. Zachmann’s celebration party today, and Nadya Tucker is also there. She sent me a message before saying..."
Sadam listened, bewildered, seeing him hesitate, he banged on the table, "What did she say in the message, just say it already. Why are you hesitating like a woman, not straightforward at all!"
Govert felt aggrieved hearing this, thinking that since this involves so many people, it wasn’t appropriate for him, a mere side character, to speak bluntly, especially with Mr. Bonette sitting right here!
Everyone knew that Mr. Bonette usually had a good relationship with Ms. Zachmann.
Thinking this, Govert didn’t stop talking and continued, "She told me to be careful that Mateo Gordon might trouble Ms. Quinlan."
Sadam paused, not comprehending, "Why would Mateo Gordon trouble Nathalie? Is he brain dead? Nathalie doesn’t even know him."
Govert’s sharp eyes caught Brian Bonette’s reaction, then he lowered his eyes and whispered, "This... I’m not sure... I heard from Nadya Tucker that Ms. Zachmann apparently didn’t successfully get into Master Cadmus’s laboratory. It seems to be Amadeus’s decision to have Ms. Zachmann’s name removed from the new recruitment list... Mateo Gordon, being close to Ms. Zachmann, might be standing up for her injustice."
"It’s Caryn Zachmann again." Sadam was speechless: "She can’t stay behind the scenes for one day without causing trouble, can she? What does her not getting into The Ninth Institute have to do with Nathalie?"
Govert remained neutral, not offending anyone, and replied, "I don’t know."
Sadam didn’t bother to waste words with him, and simply asked, "Where is Mateo Gordon, I’ll go take a look."
Govert gave him an address, then whispered, "I heard Ms. Zachmann is with him."
Sadam completely ignored this, unwilling to hear Caryn Zachmann’s name again, picked up the jacket next to him and got ready to leave.
Brian Bonette stood up with him, rubbing his temples with a bit of a headache, and picked up his own clothes, softly said, "I’ll come with you."
