The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 133: Shameless enough to ask_1
The Great Hall was abuzz with voices, but the Quinlan family felt cramped just standing there.
They were about to lose all their face.
As they watched Stanley Zachmann leading a group from Class A to dinner, Emilia Sullivan couldn’t bear it any longer and called out as they passed by.
"Professor Zachmann!"
Her sudden call made everyone in Class A stop in their tracks.
Stanley Zachmann also stopped, and upon seeing the well-maintained woman standing in front of him, he paused, and looked at her with puzzled eyes, "Who are you?"
Filled with an urgency of words, Emilia glanced in Nathalie’s direction and only wished to ask, "Professor Zachmann, I just heard you say you are Nathalie’s father? Is this true?"
Impossible!
They must have heard it wrong!
How could a Tsinghua professor possibly be Nathalie’s father?
Not just Emilia, but Jeff Quinlan and Mrs. Fisher were eagerly awaiting his denial, wishing they could do it for him.
Especially Ghania Quinlan, with her hands clenched into nervous fists, was staring intently at the distinguished middle-aged man in front of her, her lips almost bleeding from the bite.
They must have made a mistake.
Stanley Zachmann was born into a family of distinction, and even if he was usually engrossed in his academics and not much for social engagements, his view of the world was an ingrained advantage.
He could tell at a glance that this group of people bore ill intentions, as if they were hoping for his denial. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
The warm expression on his face quickly turned cold, and he turned to ask Nathalie, "Nathalie, do you know them?"
His attitude and the affectionate address...
Ghania’s heart sank sharply.
Her hands were tightly clasped, and her heart felt as though it was being grasped by an invisible hand.
Unwilling to give up hope, she still held onto a last thread of expectation.
Nathalie’s gaze swept over the Quinlan family, over Jeff, Emilia, and Ghania... with dark eyes cold and mocking, she merely glanced at them lightly, with a hint of roguishness, "I know them."
With a touch of nonchalance, "They were my foster parents."
She spoke without any hint of concealment, as though Jeff and the others were just insignificant strangers in her life.
But Stanley’s expression darkened, and when he looked back at the well-dressed Quinlan family, his eyes were not just cold but also held a trace of indignation.
After finding his daughter, he had someone investigate how she had lived these past ten-plus years.
If the other party had treated his daughter well, the Zachmann Family knew gratitude and would have surely given whatever recompense was due.
Even forming a bond free from blood ties was a possibility for the future.
But the results he received still pained him to think about!
The Quinlan family had not treated his precious daughter kindly, they adopted Nathalie merely to use her blood type for transfusions for their own child.
Every month, Nathalie was forced to go to the hospital to have blood drawn for the Quinlan’s child.
The Quinlan child got to learn the piano, dance, draw, attended the best schools, wore branded clothes...
And though Nathalie had the Quinlan name, they never enrolled her in any extracurricular classes!
While Ghania attended a private elite school, Nathalie had been attending the worst public school since primary school.
Ghania worked hard to reach high piano grades, striving to enter McKinney’s upper circles.
But his Nathalie was like an invisible person.
He had never thought of taking revenge on the Quinlan family, after all, they had raised Nathalie for over a decade.
He didn’t want his daughter to carry the burden of being labeled ungrateful.
The Quinlan family wasn’t worth it!
But if they dared to shamelessly come knocking, he definitely wouldn’t give them any face.
So, when Stanley learned that Emilia Sullivan was Nathalie’s foster mother, his demeanor rapidly chilled, his gaze distant, "Oh, Mrs. Quinlan, is there something you need?"
The clear difference in his tone of voice would be obvious to anyone with ears.
He had no regard for Emilia, not even willing to offer her the basic courtesy of face!
